Saquin: Death To My Enemies

Chapter 28: Arrogant Vs Balogun—actual fight

Six whips slice through the air, each coated with the Balogun black fire.

"Dragonic Art: Fire Dragon Infernal Hell." The Balogun voice echoed through the forest as a dome of fire extended outwards, with him at the center, and occupied one third of the Brimar forest, trapping Saquin in it.

Inside the dome, Infernal Hell.

Saquin finally looked towards the Balogun, "you are blocking my view, little dragon."

"I see, this isn't a facade, you are actually really like this—a screwed up nutjob. So I don't have to hold in my rage." The Balogun had come to the conclusion that all of Saquin behavior since he met him earlier wasn't him baiting him, but that Saquin was actually a legit madman.

Coming to this conclusion, he raised his heads up into the sky and roared.

A dragon roar.

After this roar, a strong pressure spread out from his body to the surroundings, Dragon Might. His originally bald head grew hair. The hair was made of red flames.

The six whips lashed about like they wanted to break free of his grasp. He held them tighter, each positioned between two fingers.

Saquin indifferently looked at all of this, the power of the roar dispersed when it came five meters near him. The raging wind it brought with it turned into gentle frosty air in the five meter radius around Saquin. The Dragon Might pressure wasn't able to pass through the five meter radius too.

The Balogun wasn't paying any attention to all of this, he reined in the whips and burst forward in a fiery blast.

BOOM!

The ground he was at was destroyed as a small crater was formed.

He closed in on Saquin and lashed the whips out.

Clang!

Saquin parried the six whips strike with a single swift sword strike. He moved from the spot he was as the Balogun assault had just begun.

Boom!

His former position got blasted apart by the Balogun's fire breathe. The Balogun noticed Saquin had dodged, but he wasn't fazed. Through the use of his SP Treasure, he teleported from the spot, appearing at Saquin back, the six whips lash out almost immediately.

Clang!

Saquin wasn't one to be underestimated as he turned and parried each strike. He swung his ice sword three times, each strike canceling out two whips attack. The Balogun as though expecting this, teleported again. But this time he created space between them.

He teleported a distance away, as he imbued the whips with his black flames. He poured the flames into each of them till they reached a point of saturation. The whips had always looked alive, now with enough flames coating them they had the appearance of unwinged dragons.

He whipped out towards Saquin with one of the whips, he let it go in the process and teleported away. He did this six times, each time letting go off the whip.

This created an attack formation around Saquin, six flame dragon whips from six different direction. Each properly timed to land their attack as he parries another.

There are multiple ways to deal with this attack, the most effective—leave the targeted spot. But as an embodiment of arrogance, Saquin would not dodge—at least this was what the Balogun hoped for.

Just as expected, Saquin had no thoughts of dodging. As the whips closed in, he just stood on the spot and watched.

Flash!

In a burst of speed, Saquin swung out his sword, spinning with the swing, to cover all his fronts. In an immaculate timing display, Saquin prepared to parry all the whips.

The Balogun having expected this teleported with his claws stretched out, to Saquin side. Saquin had already spun passed the side he chose. The Balogun claw contained a great deal of his black fire. Either block me or the whip.

Boom!

A huge explosion shook the Internal Hell. The Balogun was thrown out of the explosion.

Impossible! The Balogun thought to himself as he struggled to maintain his footing after landing.

During the short exchange, Saquin speed had suddenly picked up as he ignored three of whips and turned to face him almost instantly, he met the Balogun claws with his palms. This caused the black fire in the Balogun claws to erupt into a deafening explosion, but while the Balogun was thrown backwards, Saquin stood his ground.

That wasn't all, Saquin had managed to catch the remaining three whips. He had caught them with his hands. The other three had been parried by his sword strike before, and due to the nick the sword had made on them, they had turned into translucent blue ice whips.

Holding the three whips in his left hand, Saquin faced downwards to get a good look at them. The whips had black fire streaking past them, but as if afraid of Saquin gaze, they extinguished immediately he looked over. He stared at them for a few moments before putting them in his inventory. A good gift for Lira, just have to color it silver.

[ You still have feelings. ]

Duh. Why would you think I don't?

[ Erm... I don't know, you just don't look the type. ]

Tch. Saquin sneered as he looked up and his gaze landed on the dragon.

This was the first time he had actually looked specifically at the Balogun since he became Arrogant.

As Saquin gaze landed on the Balogun, he shivered. The Balogun felt fear at a primal level, he felt like he was a helpless chicken in front of his owner, who could only watch as he brought over his knife to kill him. Like a fish in the claws of an eagle that can only wait for death.

The feeling terrified him. Who the hell is he? He couldn't understand who exactly the boy in front of him was. The effect of the unknown added more fear into him, but.

Roar!

As a dragon, he had his pride. It has been ingrained into his instincts against his will. Dragons never bow, never cower, never fear, he roared to the sky in defiance of Saquin gaze, in defiance of the fear he had felt, in defiance of th-

"You are too noisy." Saquin who had suddenly closed in, said. His voice cut through all the 'Defiance', so did his sword.

Slice!

"Huh?" The Balogun looked down at his neck to see a blue lined drawn across. He held on to his neck as if to prevent it from separating. He had high regeneration, if he could get rid of Saquin variant ice attributed SP, he would heal. But that is if, unfortunately, he couldn't.

The Balogun fell to his knees as he still held on to his freezing neck—trying his best to survive. Unfortunately the way to get rid of Saquin ice at that spot isn't by melting it or resisting, you have cut off the affected part and reattach the unaffected part to heal.

Saquin variant ice SP doesn't freeze things alone, its main characteristic is turning things into ice—blue crystal ice.

After a few moments, the Balogun eyes dimmed and he fell to the ground dead.

The Infernal Hell dispersed.

As it was dissipating, a wisp of flame shot out towards the sky, the wisp of flame expanded and transformed into The Balogun. Dragonic Art: Fire Dragon, Flame Substitution.

Saquin looked up to see the Balogun flying away, "oh? Thats quite dope. But it won't save you."
