"Good morning, old man." Yuta greeted the old man, eager to experience how his training will turn out.

"Follow me." The old man finished sipping his coffee and led Yuta to the nearby forest where his training will be held all through.

Yuta training began in the woods as he began dashing forward to the destination he had been told to. Yuta was told to take his stance which he did and began to strike the air with both fits rapidly.

"Stay low." The old man corrected him to make sure he perfected whatever the boy would learn from him within the one year and in the future. Yuta had remained motionless for an hour, dripping profusely with sweat.

The first few weeks were grueling. Yuta got up before the sun came up, and while he warmed up and stretched, the cold morning air bit his skin.

The old man, stern yet encouraging, guided him through the fundamentals of martial arts. They practiced stances, strikes, and footwork, all while surrounded by the sounds of nature.

The initial excitement soon faded as fatigue set in. Yuta muscles ached, and he often found himself questioning his decision. There were days when he felt like giving up, especially after a particularly harsh training session where he fell and scraped his knees.

But each time he faltered, everytime the old man reminded him of the importance of perseverance. "Every great warrior has faced challenges," He would say, "and it's how they respond that defines them."

As the months passed, Yuta began to see progress. He became faster, stronger, and more agile. He learned to harness his breath, channeling his energy into powerful strikes.

The forest became his sanctuary, a place where he could escape the pressures of the outside world. He found solace in the rustling leaves and the chirping birds, and with each passing day, he felt more connected to his surroundings.

However, training was not without its setbacks. There were moments of frustration when he struggled to master a new technique or when he faced a sparring sessions with the old man.

After one such encounter, where he was knocked to the ground, he felt a wave of defeat wash over him. He sat alone, tears stinging his eyes, feeling like he would never be good enough.

"Think of me as your enemy and strike harder." The old man encouraged him.

'Villains.' Was the first thought that ran through his mind as he striked a heavy punch to the palm of the old man who countered his punch and brushed him off the ground.

"Pathetic, weakness, that's all I can say for your action. You attack and leave yourself open for your opponent to strike. When attacking, always make sure you never leave yourself wide open. Attack and also stay on defense.

"Roger that, sensei."

Yuta repeated the same process again and again, maintaining his stance, he began to strike the air with his all as the old man watched him.

"Now sprint downwards and run back up here at full speed." The old man watched as Yuta moved at first, but on his way coming upwards he tripped and fell as he rolled downwards from where he began.

Yuta wanted to yell but he forced himself not to, he stood up and saw his knees bleeding but paid no mind to it and started sprinting upwards the woods to where the old man was.

He managed to sprint upwards after a lot of trials and finally move to the next training.

"Don't keep me waiting, boy." The old man brought a small ball while Yuta just stared at him dumbfounded thinking of what kind of training the old man got up his sleeves.

"I'll explain this quickly. You have to do whatever you can to take this ball away from me and remember no use of quirk for now." The old man said.

"Roger." 'Is this old man messing with me? I mean it's just a ball I have to steal.' He was confident in himself at first but later on, he could see the old man's not playing a game here.

"Is that all you got after a few months of training?" The old man taunted, seeing Yuta charged at him, he changed the direction of the ball from his legs to his head. Yuta was terrified seeing all his moves being easily read and pushed himself harder.

Yuta leaped up and delivered a kick as it was easily dodge by the old man, Yuta gave the man no free time as he delivered a punch and kick but to his surprise, the old haven't moved an inch from the place he was as he just danced around moving the ball from his head to his legs.

"Stay focused and try to read the ball's movement." The old man instructed but still didn't give Yuta a chance to steal the ball after several hours.

"It's late, go take a rest and prepare for tomorrow's training." The old man excused himself and went inside the house.

"I'll train some more." Yuta muttered to himself as he began to throw punches after punches into the air. He saw the day was getting darker and darker but instead, he pushed himself harder. Sprinting down the woods at night while tripping over some roots and got himself messed up vividly.

'How can I read the movements of my opponents? How do I invade blind attacks?' He sat on the floor covered in bruises thinking of how he can predict the moves of the old man.

Getting back to his feet he took some air to fill his lungs and let it out. "Time to get started." He dashed in the woods barely able to see well since the day had gotten darker which he chose the best time for him to learn. He crashed himself into one of the dried trees in the forest as he grunt painfully.

'If I can dodge these trees running at full speed, then I can at least dodge some of sensei's attacks.' He analyzes the situation he's in which was nowhere near as easy as he thought. He made up his mind to give it a try before going back to have his dinner and then reach out to his mom.

He charged blindingly towards the dried trees while relying on his instincts to evade the trees on his path.

He managed to evade the first by jumping to his left as he smiled but unknowingly as he jumped to his left by dodging the first tree, before he could move his right leg he crashed into another big tree making him fall down, rolling all the way from the top of the forest down to the ground.

'I guess I'll call it a day and rest.' He manages to get himself up and begins to find his way back to the old man's house. He got to the doorstep and entered the house, turning his gaze all over the living room and couldn't see the old man. 'Guess he's asleep right now.'

Grunting from all the pain from his wounds, he made his way to the restroom and washed his body.

"I think I should probably reach out to mom before going to bed." He muttered while searching for his mom's number in his contact list. 'Found it.' He called the number at first but his mom didn't accept the call. 'Guess she's asleep or on a night duty at work.' He dropped his phone at the table and ate his dinner when his phone rang in a minute's time seeing the caller was his mom.

"Hey mom." Yuta greeted.

"What's up, Yuta."

"I'm doing….great and you?"

"Um? You alright?

"Yes."

"So how are you flowing with your new teacher?"

"Nice…he's great at training me and also pointing out my errors. Sometimes he's way stricter than Isshin sensei and also the first day we got here, Isshin and the old man dueled against each other and Isshin lost to him."

"Really!? Then he's way more stronger than he looks."

"Yes mom. I'm glad I came here to sharpen my fighting skills."

"Then that's alright if that's what you want since I wasn't able to stop you."

"Thanks mom! And have a wonderful night."

"Goodnight to you too, son. I love you."

Yuta hung up the call soon after his mom said 'I love you' and went to his bedroom meditating about his fight with the old man all through the day and realized his mistakes which he promised to change at tomorrow's training.

Yuta just gazed at the ceiling fan in his bed thinking of any good possibilities he could use to counter any attack from the old man and fell asleep without realizing when he did.
