Chapter 972 A Hall Of Enemies
I stayed quiet, but deep down, I felt a bit worried.
Heavenly Punishment? What the hell was that?
"Stop thinking about this stuff now, it's way too far from where you are." Saron waved his hand dismissively.
I took a deep breath and whispered, "Yeah, it does feel really far away. I can only take things one step at a time."
Even though I said that, I couldn't help but keep this whole thing on my mind.
...
The next day was when we were supposed to meet at the Martial Arts Hall.
With Saron backing me up, I felt way more confident.
I held back my aura, threw on my black robe, left the hotel, and headed for the Martial Arts Hall.
By the time I got there, the Martial Arts Hall was already packed.
Tons of martial artists had shown up after hearing the news. They were all different levels of strength.
Even some who barely ever came out were there. Like Bryce Johansson, and Zora Solomon' dad Harold Solomon, and others.
I straightened my clothes, covered my face, and walked toward the Martial Arts Hall.
"Mason Raymond!"
Right then, Zora Solomon caught up from behind.
When I saw Zora, I couldn't help but look surprised.
"How'd you know I'm Mason Raymond?" I asked, not able to hide my curiosity.
Zora replied kind of speechlessly, "You think nobody's gonna recognize you just because you cover your face?"
"Mason, you're here too."
Right then, Wilbert Jaxon came over too.
I was speechless.
Damn, I kept getting recognized one after another.
"Forget it, since I've been made, there's no point in this cloak anymore." I ripped off my black robe and threw it aside.
"By the way, you guys have any idea what that Garcia Coleman wants to do?" I asked as we walked.
I shook my head, "No clue, but it's definitely nothing good."
"Mason Raymond, long time no see."
Right then, Bryce Johansson suddenly came over from not far away.
I nodded at him and said, "You still planning to challenge me?"
"Me? I'm probably no match for you now, right?" Bryce Johansson said casually.
I snorted, "Good that you know it."
"I never thought you'd grow this much." Bryce couldn't help but say.
I saw that Bryce didn't have any bad intentions, so I didn't say anything more.
Besides, my biggest enemy wasn't the aristocratic families of Capital City anymore, but the Mystic Realm, Capital City Martial Arts Association, and Iris Darren.
Just then, I suddenly felt a wave of hostility.
I frowned. Following where the hostility was coming from, I saw it was from Vance Johansson.
When Vance met my gaze, he immediately looked away.
I couldn't help but shake my head.
The current Vance Johansson wasn't even worth thinking about anymore.
I completely ignored his hostility.
Then, with Wilbert Jaxon and Zora Solomon, I walked into the Martial Arts Hall.
Right when we sat down, Harold Solomon, Zora's father, came over from nearby.
Seeing Harold, I and the others quickly stood up.
"Hello, Mr. Solomon." I said, bowing slightly.
Harold nodded at me and said, "You're Mason Raymond, really young and promising."
I smiled, "You're too kind, Mr. Solomon."
Harold didn't say much more. He found a seat and sat down.
"I really don't know what the Capital City Martial Arts Association is up to this time." Zora Solomon said seriously.
"I'm afraid this meeting was started by Iris Darren." Wilbert said from the side.
I glanced at him, then nodded, "Yeah, I've already noticed the weird aura around here."
This aura definitely wasn't from any ordinary martial artist.
That hint of musty smell was impossible to come from a living person.
"I'm afraid Iris brought the white bone army." I sighed to myself.
"It's the people from the Immortal Slaying Sect..."
Then I remembered what Saron said.
I made a sound of agreement, "You know about the Immortal Slaying Sect?"
"Everyone knows about the once-powerful Immortal Slaying Sect. Even though they disappeared years ago, their stories are still spread everywhere." Saron said.
I asked seriously, "Do you know what they're planning to do?"
"I don't know." Saron said without hesitation.
Seeing this, I didn't say anything more.
I slowly closed my eyes, waiting for the meeting to start.
The number of people in the Martial Arts Hall kept growing. Many well-known martial artists had come here too.
Same with the disciples from the Mystic Realm. People like Saumel Baton had been waiting here early.
Even they had no idea what the purpose of the meeting could be.
As I was sitting with my eyes closed, Garcia Coleman came walking over from far away.
He walked straight up to me and sneered, "Mason Raymond, I didn't think you'd actually dare to come."
I slowly opened my eyes and said coldly, "If you want to stay alive, you better keep away from me."
Seeing my cocky attitude, Garcia Coleman couldn't help but sneer, "I should've killed you earlier last time, instead of being greedy..."
I narrowed my eyes, sneered, and said, "I'm afraid you won't get the chance."
Garcia didn't get mad. He leaned close to my ear and whispered, "Mason Raymond, I'm gonna let you know what it's like to be under someone's thumb."
After saying that, Garcia patted my shoulder and walked away.
I didn't take Garcia Coleman's words seriously. I was about to close my eyes again when I suddenly felt a familiar presence.
Feeling this presence, I frowned.
"Alberto Sean is here." Zora Solomon said coldly from the side.
Wilbert even waved at Alberto Sean, greeting him.
Alberto Sean glanced over here, then walked over.
"It really is him." My face went cold.
This presence felt really familiar to me; it was a mix of my own aura and the Sean family blood.
Besides Alberto Sean, there was nobody else this could be.
As the golden boy, Alberto attracted everyone's attention wherever he went.
These young heirs of Capital City's aristocratic families stood up one after another to greet Alberto Sean.
After Alberto Sean nodded back, he came over to my side.
Right then, I was sitting while he was standing, so that condescending look in Alberto's eyes was really annoying.
"No wonder Mabel Sean likes you. I get it now." Alberto suddenly said.
I looked up, my cold gaze fixed on Alberto Sean, waiting for him to continue.
