Rise of The Abandoned Husband

Chapter 970 Your Body Is Mine Now

When Iron Egg heard my words, veins popped out on his forehead.

He held back his rage and snapped, "What the hell are you saying? You're missing the whole point?"

"Cut it out, quit the bullshit." I waved my hand dismissively. "Just sit tight here. I'll spring you when I feel like it."

With that, I spun around and started walking off.

Iron Egg's brow creased as he called out, "What, you're gonna abandon me here?"

I chuckled. "What else did you think?"

"Listen kid, don't screw with me. Push me too hard and I'll wreck this Spatial Magic Artifact!" Iron Egg's face turned dark and threatening.

I let out a cold laugh. "Don't think you've got what it takes. I already did my homework. This isn't some Spatial Magic Artifact—it's a prison built just for you."

Iron Egg's expression shifted slightly.

It was clear I'd nailed it right on the head.

"Fine, even if I can't trash the Spatial Magic Artifact, I can still wreck all your crap!" Iron Egg bellowed.

He charged straight for the treasures I had stashed in my Spatial Magic Artifact.

My forehead wrinkled, and I bolted after him.

"Don't be an idiot, or I'll hit you with the silver hoop charm," I warned him.

But Iron Egg wasn't having any of it.

His divine sense was ridiculously strong—it had taken physical form, and just the force of his divine sense could smash everything I had stored!

Right as I was about to activate the silver hoop charm, Iron Egg froze in his tracks.

He stared at the two bodies lying there and frowned. "What the hell are these? Two... corpses from the Reversion Void Stage?"

"Reversion Void Stage?" I scratched my head.

"I always figured they were just mighty realm cultivator corpses. Had no clue they were Reversion Void Stage experts."

Iron Egg's face went grim. "How'd you get your hands on Reversion Void Stage corpses?"

"Oh, just stumbled across them." I said it like it was no big deal.

Iron Egg looked rattled, like his mind was racing.

"If you want them, I could hand over these Reversion Void Stage expert corpses." I said with a sly grin.

Iron Egg snorted. "I can't handle corpses like that. You keep 'em."

I rolled my eyes. "Alright then, just chill out here. Don't sweat it—I'll let you out before long."

After saying that, I stepped out of the Spatial Magic Artifact.

My eyes snapped open, and I quickly figured out there were less than two days left before the Martial Arts Hall competition.

I pulled up the Martial Arts Forum and saw tons of people had already posted photos of the Martial Arts Hall.

"Looks like a pretty big crowd's heading there," I thought.

Then I grabbed my phone and called Phoebe Billy.

When he picked up, I asked, "You free to talk right now?"

Phoebe let out a bitter laugh. "I'm just sitting around doing nothing these days, so yeah, always free."

I couldn't help but sigh. "Never thought Garcia Coleman would pull something like this."

Phoebe brushed it off. "Just ask whatever you need to know."

I nodded and got to the point. "Garcia Coleman's put together this Martial Arts Hall thing. Any idea what he's really after?"

Phoebe's voice turned serious. "Nobody's got a clue, not even Garcia's inner circle guys like Barret and Star."

"Even they're in the dark?" I felt my brow furrow a bit.

"But," Phoebe suddenly switched gears.

"Lately, Iris Darren's been making visits to the Capital City Martial Arts Association. This could be his play." Phoebe said.

When I heard that, my face went cold!

Iris Darren's scheme?

I took a long breath. "Got it."

After I hung up, my expression was darker than storm clouds.

I'd seen Iris Darren's tricks before—his whole game was devouring everyone's divine senses.

He struck out in the prison last time, and now he was probably gearing up for round two.

"Damn that Iris Darren..." I ground my teeth.

After bombing out last time, Iris Darren was definitely bringing his white bone army this round.

With just my abilities, there was no way I could stop him.

"I was planning to keep Iron Egg locked up in the Spatial Magic Artifact for a while, but looks like... that's off the table now." I took a deep breath.

With that thought, I used my mental command to release Iron Egg from the Spatial Magic Artifact.

After a bright flash, Iron Egg's divine sense materialized right in front of me.

When he saw his surroundings, Iron Egg looked stunned at first, then said with excitement and disbelief, "I... I'm free?"

"Hahaha, I'm free!" Iron Egg's wild laughter was ear-splitting.

I covered my ears. "Alright, pipe down."

Iron Egg locked his eyes on me with a wicked grin. "You can let me into your body now, right?"

Instead of answering, I asked, "Is this your primordial spirit? If it is, I don't think I can handle it."

"What's the difference between primordial spirit and divine sense?" Iron Egg snorted.

My brow furrowed as I pressed him. "What do you mean? Is the primordial spirit that Martial Saints work on just divine sense?"

"Looks like you really don't know jack." Iron Egg said with a sneer.

"Hurry up and spill it, don't waste time!" I snapped impatiently.

Even though Iron Egg was pissed, he swallowed his anger and explained, "The primordial spirit is just beefed-up divine sense. Marquis-level cultivators work on the golden core in their dantian, while Martial Saints develop the primordial spirit in their divine sense."

"Once you hit the Nascent Soul Realm, your divine sense transforms into a nascent soul—that's what people call the primordial spirit."

I asked urgently, "So the stronger my divine sense gets, the stronger my nascent soul will be when I reach Martial Saint level, right?"

"Pretty much." Iron Egg said irritably.

"Can I let you into my body now?"

I thought it over for a moment, then nodded. "Fine."

As I said that, I closed my eyes slightly, and a bright light flickered at my forehead, like a doorway opening up.

Iron Egg's face turned sinister, and in a flash, his divine sense shot into my body.

"Kid, your body's mine now!" Iron Egg's face twisted into a crazed expression.
