Reverse War Surpass Immortal

Chapter 72: Effortless

Duan Gujin forcefully fed some Fire Poison Pills to those six people, threatening that he had already poisoned them internally.

After consuming the Elixir Pills, they found it very difficult to utilize their Primordial Power, and were shocked, truly believing that Duan Gujin had truly poisoned them inside their bodies.

They were immediately scared into kneeling on the ground, begging for their lives.

With a cold laugh, Duan Gujin said, "If you don't want to die, you will do as I say!"

Those six people dared not disobey; they did exactly as Duan Gujin had ordered.

Duan Gujin had the six of them walk at the front of the group while he and Meng Yun disguised themselves, and afterwards followed the six people as they approached the large boat.

Duan Gujin's Divine Sense reached out swiftly, and he soon inspected the boat to find only a dozen or so people with lower cultivation.

He and Meng Yun took decisive action, capturing all the people on the boat in less than ten breaths.

Duan Gujin, following the same pattern as before, used the same method to threaten the people he had just caught.

After taking his pills, all of them found it very difficult to utilize their Primordial Power and absolutely believed Duan Gujin's claim that he had poisoned them.

Thus, Duan Gujin successfully took control of everyone on the large boat.

"We must hurry! If these people see through my plan, we will be in trouble!"

said Duan Gujin.

"Okay!"

Meng Yun knew in her heart that they were taking a dangerous risk.

But at this point, she had no choice but to take this risk with Duan Gujin.

Soon, they followed the people on the boat into the underground cave.

On the boat, Duan Gujin had inquired carefully from those people, and only then did he learn that the guards at the entrance would inspect every person and check the cargo as well.

But even though such inspections were very cursory, Duan Gujin feared that a guard might suddenly become meticulous, and he and Meng Yun would be exposed.

Therefore, he and Meng Yun hid inside one of the cargo boxes.

As they passed through the guard at the large bridge, even though there was an inspection, the guards conducted it very simply, completely going through the motions.

After successfully entering the underground cave, Duan Gujin and Meng Yun found an opportunity to check out the situation within the cave.

An hour went by, and Duan Gujin finally understood the whole situation of the underground cave.

Only then did he realize that the person he had previously killed was just one of the leaders, and not the chief of this group.

"So that's the case!"

Only then did Duan Gujin know that the leader he had killed before was only one in charge of monitoring the situation outside the cave, and it was said that the chief was in seclusion.

This underground cave he was in had only one pathway, which was that bridge.

Once he and Meng Yun were trapped here, they would be like turtles in a jar.

"We can't stay here for long, we'll leave as soon as we have a clear understanding of this place!"

Duan Gujin conveyed to Meng Yun through a transmitted message.

"Okay!

To Meng Yun, this adventure felt incredibly thrilling.

The cave was unexpectedly large, and after 15 minutes, Duan Gujin came across a large pit, discovering that there were hundreds of Cannibal Wolves living beneath it.

"Oh my God! So many Cannibal Wolves!"

Seeing the clusters of Cannibal Wolves, Meng Yun's face turned pale.

Duan Gujin's eyes flashed, and he immediately surveyed the surroundings.

Soon, he discovered an artificial stream nearby, and it was the very source of water for the Cannibal Wolves.

With a thought, he hastily sprinkled the Fire Poison Powder from his storage ring into the stream.

Soon after, he saw some Cannibal Wolves drinking from the stream.

He did not leave immediately but observed for a while.

Not long after, he saw numerous Cannibal Wolves collapsing.

"Good! They've been poisoned!"

Duan Gujin had prepared quite a lot of Fire Poison Powder. Although there were more than a hundred Cannibal Wolves in the large pit ahead, he had enough Fire Poison Powder in his possession to kill them all.

He did not stay to watch how the other Cannibal Wolves would fall. Time was of the essence, and he didn't want to linger in this place any longer, knowing it was extremely dangerous.

Since sneaking into the underground cave, he hadn't seen many guards within.

Although there were some guards on duty in the cave, they were leisurely reading books and not making a point to vigilantly monitor every area.

Their negligence provided Duan Gujin and Meng Yun with an opportunity to exploit.

They had snuck into most areas of the cave, and what pleased Duan Gujin the most was that he had discovered a room full of various rare items from the region.

Amongst those items, there were various local poisons, as well as corpses of sea demons and Sea Beasts.

Upon seeing the corpses of the sea demons or Sea Beasts, Duan Gujin was overjoyed since amongst them, there were ones he had long dreamed of.

"What luck! After much searching, they've come easily without effort!"

Duan Gujin immediately loaded everything inside that room into his storage ring.

Though the storage ring could contain items, it seemed that corpses and the like were typically placed at a certain distance from each other.

Seeing the room emptied by his raid, Duan Gujin was greatly delighted.

He quickly took Meng Yun to the next room to see how much more treasure they could plunder.

Two hours later, Duan Gujin was certain that aside from one extremely important chamber he hadn't entered, he had searched through all the rooms in the entire cave.

"Although there are no guards in this chamber, the door outside is made of a very special material. If one were to speak of doors, I believe this cave's most solid door is this one!"

Duan Gujin communicated to Meng Yun via a message.

"Right!"

Meng Yun could also tell; she had followed Duan Gujin throughout the entire cave, and only this door in front of them was notably robust.

She intended to perform a Divine Sense Inspection, but quickly realized that a Shielding Array was in place within the door.

According to the characteristics of this door, they unanimously concluded that the master of the cave was in seclusion behind it.

"We mustn't startle the snake by hitting the grass; it's time to leave!"

After pondering for a moment, Duan Gujin decided to make a hasty departure with Meng Yun.

For him, the gains from this trip were vast, having found a lot of suitable materials for concocting Poison Pills in a previous room.

Among those Spiritual Medicines, there were also a few materials suitable for crafting elixirs to enhance Cultivation.

But just as they were leaving, inexplicably, the underground cave suddenly exploded.

At the sudden sound of a muffled blast, Meng Yun cried out in alarm.

Her cry immediately drew the attention of some nearby guards, and then those guards rushed towards their location.

Duan Gujin realized the situation was bad, and thus, he forcefully charged out with Meng Yun.

Along the way, although some guards tried to stop them.

Those guards were no match for Duan Gujin; they were either severely injured or killed on the spot by Hidden Weapons he threw, or they fled.
