Reverend Insanity: The Goody Two-Shoes System

Bai Ning Bing was in a state of shock as she was dragged inside the Gu House. Although Fang Yuan had managed to save her life, he had not resurrected her gu worms. Her aptitude had fallen to ninety percent now, and it seemed that the Northern Dark Ice Soul physique had indeed been suppressed for the time being.

However, she noticed a problem immediately as she examined herself further: "she" had been a "he" just moments before.

Before she could dwell on this point any longer, a doll in the room she was in jumped up and walked over towards her. The doll had massive eyes and curly brown hair and was wearing a pink bow along with a blue dress. Its head was far larger than the rest of its proportions should have allowed for.

While it was clearly a well-made doll, it seemed slightly unsettling with an uncanny valley kind of effect as it moved around and talked.

Bai Ning Bing put up her hands defensively, but it did not attack her.

Instead, it hopped all around her excitedly. "Fairy! Fairy!" the doll yelled. "You look so pretty, fairy! Without a doubt, you'll be a great inheritor for this Gu House!"

Bai Ning Bing narrowed her eyes. "What's going on? Inheritor?"

"Why, yes, indeed," the doll said. "Fairy, this place was created by my master."

"Only an Immortal could have created this kind of place," Bai Ning Bing mused, sensing the aura of over a thousand gu worms all around her.

"That is correct, fairy," the doll answered. "This place was created by my master, who was a Rank 8 Gu Immortal in the Western Desert. I am this Gu House's guardian spirit."

Bai Ning Bing tapped the doll on its forehead. "You're not just a spirit, though."

"Indeed, fairy, I'm one of the puppets that my master used which has a portion of his intent sealed within, the spirit of this Gu House," the doll answered. "My master was rather skilled when it came to the puppet path. However, he ended up failing his second Myriad Tribulation and passed away. However, he wanted to leave this house to an inheritor. There's even more to inherit other than just this house, fairy, so long as you meet his other requirements."

'Meet his requirements...' Bai Ning Bing thought to herself. "What requirements did I meet right now? As in, why are you giving me this Gu House? Or do I need to do something else to prove I'm worthy of it?"

"Oh, the requirements to inherit this Gu House are simple," the doll answered. "You see, my master was quite heroic when he had been alive. He fought many battles for his clan and led his clan to prosperity. He was a loving husband and caring father. However, even though he was thought of as extremely brave, he always felt like he was a great coward inwardly."

"He felt like he was a coward?"

"Because he could not reveal to the world who he truly was... or that is, who he truly wanted to be. My master wanted to become a woman," the doll answered.

Bai Ning Bing blinked.

"However, even though he always felt like a woman despite being born as a man, he had never had the courage to live as his true self while he was still alive. And therefore, he wanted to entrust this Gu House to someone who could and had the bravery to do what he could not do. In other words, fairy, this Gu House can only be inherited by a man who is currently in a woman's body, such as you."

Bai Ning Bing: ...

"Fairy, I knew that the person who would inherit this Gu House would be a woman," the doll continued. "However, I never imagined she would be as beautiful as you. Without a doubt, you could easily be ranked as one of the top beauties in the entire world! We have many clothes which I think would greatly suit you, fairy. And if you have any other people who also want to join us after seeing your example, then that's even better. As my master said, in the future, we, the Dollhouse Sect, will rule over the five regions and two heavens!"

By this point, Bai Ning Bing had heard enough and kicked the doll across the room where it hit its head against the wall. "Stop calling me fairy! And shut up with your nonsense! I didn't choose to become like this!"

Bai Ning Bing had no idea if the doll could feel pain, but small teardrops formed around its eyes as it got up. "Fairy, why did you hit me? I didn't say anything mean to you, after all..."

"And you're going to obey my orders, right?" Bai Ning Bing asked.

"Yes, fairy."

"First of all, stop calling me fairy," Bai Ning Bing said. "Second of all, turn me back into a man."

"Oh, I can't do that," the doll said.

"What do you mean, you can't do that?"

"You were turned into a woman by Yin-Yang Rotation Gu, it appears. That means you need the Yang portion of the Yin-Yang Rotation Gu to turn back into a man," the doll answered. "It's only that specific Yang Gu which can turn you back into a male. Another Yin-Yang Rotation Gu won't work either. But fai- Senior Sister, if you want my advice I think you should remain as a woman."

Bai Ning Bing gritted her teeth. "Outside, there are two people, Fang Yuan and Fang Zheng. Bring them inside." Fang Yuan was the one who had started this, and he was likely the only one who could fix it as well.

The doll obliged, and Fang Yuan and Fang Zheng were both transported inside the Gu House.

"So this is what Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable wanted me to pass on to someone else," Fang Yuan mused as he arrived inside. Although it was still just a mortal Gu House, one could not even mention his Blood Chariot Wheel and this Gu House in the same sentence together. This house was incredible- being skillfully made form thousands of mortal gu worms. By comparison, his creation seemed like a crude stack of rocks before an enormous and extravagant palace.

Clearly, this Gu House had not been made in a rush with limited resources. It had been designed by a Gu Immortal who did not lack mortal gu after much thought and experimentation.

Even if Fang Yuan had been a Rank 6 Immortal, he still could've found a use for such a structure depending on what it could do, though he would've quickly outgrown it the moment he reached Rank 7.

"Senior brothers, senior brothers," the doll said, hopping around Fang Yuan and Fang Zheng. "Have you considered becoming senior sisters instead?"
