Chapter 62: War - 1
On the north side of the Central Continent region, chaos reigned as a massive battle unfolded. Two of Li Tian's clones, both masters of Reality Path, stood firm amidst the blood-soaked battlefield, their presence commanding despite the overwhelming odds.
Opposing them were five Gu Immortals from the Heavenly Court, including the imposing figures of two Rank 8 Immortals whose power rippled through the very fabric of existence.
"You fools! Do you truly believe you can stand against the might of the Heavenly Court?" Jia Tianxing roared, his Star Path energy flaring around him as his robes shimmered with celestial brilliance. His voice carried both anger and disbelief, amplified by the devastation he unleashed with Celestial Star Rain.
Li Tian's clones exchanged a glance, their expressions calm and unbothered. "Maintain the domain," one of them said to the other, his tone clinical, as if discussing strategy over a game board. "Ensure the barrier does not falter."
The first clone unleashed the killer move Reality Shatter Domain, destabilizing the environment and causing Jia Tianxing's celestial stars to fizzle out upon contact. "Your arrogance blinds you," the clone remarked quietly to himself, observing the inefficiency of the Heavenly Court's tactics.
"Cowards! Face me directly!" Feng Yuehan bellowed, his Sword Path aura slicing through the battlefield with violent arcs from Void Rend Slash. He charged forward, his blade humming with lethal energy.
"Do not engage," the second clone said to his counterpart, sidestepping the attack with Temporal Collapse Barrier. "Let him wear himself out," he added, his voice devoid of emotion, yet filled with the confidence of someone in complete control.
"Your silence mocks us!" Zhou Ming snarled, summoning Frozen Abyss Wave. His killer move clashed with Wu Xiaoyan's Infernal Tidal Surge, the chaotic interplay of fire and ice causing tremors across the battlefield. The clones, however, remained unaffected, their Reality Path mastery neutralizing the elemental chaos with Temporal Bastion.
"Redirect their attacks," the first clone instructed. "We need them to destroy their own forces."
The clones moved with precision, exploiting every mistake made by the Heavenly Court Immortals. The battlefield, once a chaotic mess of energy and destruction, now became a carefully orchestrated trap. Every attack from the Heavenly Court was redirected, amplified, or deflected, causing collateral damage to their own ranks.
"Your calm demeanor is infuriating!" Wu Xiaoyan screamed as she unleashed another fiery assault. The second clone merely nodded to his counterpart, saying, "We're ahead of schedule. Adjust the domain accordingly."
As the battle reached its crescendo, the Heavenly Court Immortals found themselves outmaneuvered at every turn.
Their frustration grew, their fury unable to crack the stoic resolve of Li Tian's clones. Each attack was met with cold precision, turning the tide further against them.
In the end, only Jia Tianxing and Feng Yuehan remained standing, their faces twisted in a mix of rage and desperation. "You may win today," Jia Tianxing spat, "but the Heavenly Court always prevails in the end."
The clones exchanged a final glance. "This is how Fang Yuan may have felt," one said, "Yeah, even we readers felt it we saw how these b*tches die and come back alive, every fu*king time."
"Well, I think Star Constellation is already aware of the situation. Even though she left only a will, she's now gaining support from Heaven's Will because of us. I don't think either of them will stay silent; they're going to make a move." Just as he finished speaking, a bright star emerged in the sky, its brilliance spreading rapidly across the heavens, illuminating the battlefield below with an almost blinding radiance.
"Well, there it is," the first clone muttered, his tone calm but laced with unease. "The Star Beast Tribulation is starting... wait." His voice trailed off as his gaze fixed on the celestial phenomenon. "The first tribulation should be a normal one. Why is it beginning with a Myriad Tribulation?"
The star's light intensified, casting eerie shadows across the blood-soaked terrain. From within the radiant glow, a low rumble began to echo, growing louder and more menacing with each passing second.
The Heavenly Court Immortals, battered and exhausted, froze in place, their expressions shifting from anger to relief.
"Don't worry, everything is within our plan's expectations. The more tribulations they release, the more it benefits us. We'll gain even more dao marks." Li Tian messaged everyone, his tone calm and unshaken. He didn't elaborate further, deeming it unnecessary for the situation at hand.
Hearing this, the clones collectively sighed in relief, their composure unaffected as their gazes turned toward the battered Heavenly Court Immortals. The first clone stepped forward, his eyes cold and unwavering as he uttered a single, chilling word: "Die."
In the blink of an eye, the killer move activated. A ripple of destructive energy spread across the battlefield, targeting every weak point of the Immortals. In an instant, the Heavenly Court Immortals' brains erupted within their skulls, their bodies collapsing lifelessly as their souls were forcibly extracted and absorbed into Li Tian's reserves.
The once-chaotic surroundings dissolved into an eerie, unnatural silence. Everything within the range of the move vanished, leaving no trace of life or battle.
The killer move, aptly named Die, was a devastating combination of Reality Path and Destruction Path energies. The first clone, being proficient in both, utilized Immortal Gu such as Void Core Immortal Gu and Soul Render Immortal Gu alongside several support Gu.
The move was crafted to exploit critical weaknesses in the enemies' physical and spiritual structures, directly targeting their brains and souls—their most vital components. As a result, everything in the vicinity was obliterated, reduced to nothingness, reinforcing the absolute lethality of the technique.
