Resonance//Dissonance [BOOK 2 in progress]

Character Codex: Luke, The Embodiment of Ruin

Here is the Power Codex for Luke:

Book 1:

Codex of the Tainted Sun

Mental Roar — Concussive Will

Luke's hatred, humiliation, and raw will crystallize into a roar that is more than sound—it is a concussion wave of intent. The Veil itself shudders beneath it, windows shatter, alarms scream, and weaker minds falter under the crushing resonance. A manifestation of his unfiltered psyche—fear and violence made tangible.

Self-Immolation of the Damned

Hope is weakness. To embrace despair is strength. By burning away all mercy, Luke sets himself ablaze in the flames of the Primordial Heart. His flesh cracks, his ribs tear through his skin, and yet he endures as the Dying Sun—a being of agony and radiance. This act marks a Vow: to conquer fate or vanish into nothingness. The fire is torment, but it is also rebirth.

Tool of Slaughter — Bone Manifestation

From torn skin and blood, the bone blade emerges, jagged and rattling like a living spine. It answers his will, extending, coiling, or fracturing into segments of serrated destruction. The blade devours all restraint, carving through ice, earth, and flesh alike, a weapon that feeds on his suffering and answers only to slaughter.

Cleave / Heaven Breaker

Luke's mimicry of Stitcher's legendary "Slash" manifests as his own doctrine of annihilation: Cleave. When fueled by the Tool of Slaughter and his Primordial Heart, the concept itself of "cutting" becomes his ally. His swing tears not only flesh but reality, sundering earth, metal, and spell constructs alike. The escalation, Heaven Breaker, is a proclamation that rends sky and ground with apocalyptic force.

Orchard of Thorns

The Bone Blade erupts into a storm of jagged shards, flaying the battlefield into a forest of spears. With the command "Bloom," every shard grows, elongates, and impales in chaotic rhythm. A prison of bone and agony, locking enemies in a blooming graveyard.

Last Breath —

Ostatnie Tchnienie

His ultimate, desperate weapon. After the torment of the Self-Immolation, after the body is consumed and only vengeance remains, Luke channels the fury of the Tainted Sun Heart through his throat. His mouth unhinges, his jaw cracks, and a jet stream of plasma erupts forth, white and absolute, burning reality itself.A beam of condensed starfire, a final defiance against fate. A breath that erases all before him.

Telekinetic Reinforcement — The Frame

Threads of chaos coil around muscle, tendon, and bone, hardening his body against strain and amplifying every movement. Luke's first instinctive step into turning his flesh into a weaponized frame.

Telekinetic Burst — The Shove

With a pulse of force, Luke alters momentum itself—dragging enemies closer, slamming them away, or breaking his own movement into sudden, violent angles. Crude, but decisive.

Healing Matrix — Patchwork Web

By weaving chaotic strands into broken flesh, Luke forces wounds closed. The result is scarred, rigid, imperfect—but it keeps him alive. The Matrix is no gentle healer, but a jailer binding meat to his will.

Grenade Tooth

A tooth torn from his own jaw and infused with chaotic force becomes a living fragmentation device. When spat, it detonates in a violent spray of shards and fire. Self-mutilation as weaponry, necessity over sanity.

Mental Roar — Concussive Will

Luke's rage erupts as a resonant shockwave, shattering glass, rattling metal, and crushing weaker minds. Not mere sound, but pure intent given form.

Void Cowl

A cloak of subtractive force that smothers resonance and perception. Where chaos blazes, void devours. Wrapped in this cowl, Luke becomes harder to sense—his presence blurred, muffled, eaten by subtraction. Not invisibility, but absence.

Book 2:

Primordial Circulation — The Burn Within

The heart is a furnace. Its flame spreads, coursing through every channel of flesh. Luke floods himself with the Sun's essence, burning weakness away, hardening sinew and bone until they can bear the impossible. Each cycle scorches and reforges him anew. Pain is the hammer, chaos the forge.

Doctrine of Hollow Pulse and Shattered Frame

Luke anchors himself with violent footwork, hips locked, frame twisted into a spring. Telekinetic pulses seize his weight, dragging him sideways, snapping him forward, hurling him across walls and ceilings. Movement becomes erratic, unpredictable, and brutal, a doctrine of close combat where every limb is a weapon launched from unseen strings.

Ashborne Ignition Frame

(Unfinished Doctrine)

Chaos threads form a carapace about his body, skeletal wings jutting sharp, a spearhead prow stretching from his chest. At his back, fire condenses behind the shoulder blades, a thruster of flame and pressure. The construct is not armor, but a missile—Luke himself transformed into a living spear, built to pierce all resistance. The doctrine is unfinished, but already terrifying in promise.

Healing Matrix — Refined Lattice

What was once a crude web becomes tighter, steadier. Chaos woven into flesh no longer just patches wounds but compels tissue to knit faster, smoother. It remains imperfect—scar-bound and fragile—but Luke's refinement lessens the toll, promising a future where even chaos may one day heal cleanly.

Fray the Strings

(Perception Technique)

In learning to extend his senses, Luke discovers that all magic resonates like threads strung tight. By focusing, he can feel these cords hum in the dark, tracing their tension. To fray them is to disturb, blur, or even unravel the magic woven by others. Still unstable, still raw, but the first step into a doctrine of perception.

Command Voice — Refined Compulsion

His will sharpens. No longer just a crude lash of words, Luke threads his intent into tone, resonance, and silence. A phrase, a whisper, a breath becomes a chain of command. The strong can resist, but the weak falter, pulled under his authority like prey under tide.

Void Channeling — Pressure Doctrine (nascent)

Where Chaos weaves, Void devours. Luke learns to treat Void not as threads but as blotches of ink across a canvas—subtraction made tangible. By erasing the concept of weight, he makes bodies float. By erasing lightness, he makes the air crush. Primitive still, unstable, but promising a future where pressure and absence themselves become weapons.

Knife Doctrine — Applied Efficiency

In the dark streets, Luke turns back to human craft. Knives, daggers, karambits—each strike measured, each kill surgical. Unlike chaos, steel requires no cost but precision. In Luke's hands, every blade becomes a technique: ribs torn apart by punch daggers, tendons cut by low curves, throats opened in silence. Efficiency reborn as doctrine.

This is of course not fully complete, I would add more flavor to his classification of combat, magic and his overall ranking in the magical world, but it is not yet explained and will be within the next 10-15 chaps and once the Big Thing happens, we will update this little sheeth, together with other characters that will pop up.

Tell me what you think so far.

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
