Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 625: Hundred Ghost’s Side

After Elder Dreadpoint made his declaration, it goes without saying that Eagle Snipe's career with the Reaver Guild or the GRIM Corporation had come to an end.

Even when he was forcefully dragged away, Eagle Snipe could never understand how he had fallen from his position.

'Why did Jason spearhorn me and not Hundred Ghost?' This was a question that would never be answered in his mind.

Shortly after, Gao Zhong turned his attention to Jason and Hundred Ghost.

"Immediately rush to Star Falls City and make amends. As long as the compensation price isn't much, agree to it and ensure that our two guilds remain neutral." He commanded, no longer in the mood to have a war against a mysterious yet powerful guild.

If the Vanguard Guild was just a mere upstart guild with zero power, then he would have made a move to prove a point that he deserved to be in his current position.

However, there were too many unknown variables and Gao Zhong couldn't afford to start a guild war.

"Elder Dreadpoint, I'll leave the matter here for you. I need to report to my father."

Dreadpoint nodded his head. As the elder and a longtime friend of Gao Zhong's father, his presence naturally commanded a lot of respect. Of course, Dreadpoint wasn't someone to make things difficult and would only act based on facts.

Hence, with concrete evidence of Eagle Snipe still attempting to provoke such an unknown guild, Dreadpoint acted without hesitation to eliminate such a time bomb from their guild.

At the same time, Gao Zhong also agreed with such action, so it wasn't a hard decision to make.

Once everyone went away to do their own stuff, leaving only Hundred Ghost and Jason alone to discuss how to make amends with the Vanguard Guild, the two started to glance at each other menacingly.

"I've helped you regain your position, so don't forget the deal." Jason snorted coldly.

"Rest assured, both you and I know that I can't ever expose that matter." Hundred Ghost sneered, reminding Jason that if the truth behind the Eternal Guild was actually orchestrated by Jason, then he would also be eliminated.

After all, he risked his honor and integrity to pin the blame on Eagle Snipe.

"Hmph, then you will go make amends with the Vanguard Guild. I may have wanted to use the opportunity to rise up, but don't forget they were provoked by you from the start." Jason said and proceeded to log out.

With Jason logging out, Hundred Ghost was left alone.

'Make amends? How hard could that be?' Hundred Ghost sneered inwardly and opened up his message prompt.

From the list of players available, Hundred Ghost hovered his finger over to a name called Cool Wind.

Hundred Ghost: Honorary elder, the task has been completed and I've regained my authority. Please give me a chance to commence a meeting to continue the show. Also, Young Master Gao and Elder Dreadpoint's stance looked amiable on the surface, but they are secretly clashing hard for influence.

As the message was sent, Hundred Ghost breathed a sigh of relief.

Who would have thought his former enemy would be the one to give him a beacon of light in the end?

When Hundred Ghost recalled being ordered around by Eagle Snipe and suddenly received a message from a player named Cool Wind, he nearly thought someone was playing a prank on him.

An honorary elder of the Vanguard Guild?

Such a rank didn't even exist to the public, but after Cool Wind was exposed on the Game Forum posts from Riverwood Town, he realized it was the truth.

And from there, he decided to jump ship. Since the Reaver Guild wanted to discard him like a stray dog, then he might as well stab them in the back.

'The Vanguard Guild really can't be underestimated. Just how did they figure out Jason was the one to commission the Eternal Guild to attempt the sabotage?' Hundred Ghost still couldn't fathom their intelligence network.

Origin Trial, Battleship Lux

While many things were occurring behind the scenes and how the Vanguard Shop's auction had been a success so far, Xu Feng remained unaware of it.

After all, his Game Forum and messages were disabled to prevent him from contacting anyone during the Origin Trial phase. It was also a method to ensure the player won't be distracted.

However, even if he could be contacted, Xu Feng still wouldn't be bothered at all, given his current situation.

'Okay, the robots have finished inspecting the lower floor and are approaching mine soon.' Xu Feng's eyes were focused on the tablet that showed the robots' positions. They were about to reach his current floor, and he already constructed a plan to avoid detection.

While the robots were numerous and worked simultaneously, there was a split opening when all of them were focused on the doors to scan. Since they were all programmed the same, their attention in the scanning was at the exact time.

Therefore, his chance was during the scanning phase to slip through them.

The only problem?

These robots were goddamn monsters and only required less than 5 seconds to finish a scan. One might expect the scan to take at least 30 seconds, but these robots scanned so fast.

And what was most problematic was the fact that his dorm was located in the middle. In other words, he was being pincer, with nowhere to escape.

'Wait a minute… these robots wouldn't check the ceiling.' Realization quickly dawned upon Xu Feng.

He was finally enlightened as to why the Phantom Grappling Hook wasn't disabled. Apparently, the trial seemed to have anticipated or had technically orchestrated such a scene to begin with and forced him to use the tool for his escape.

Nevertheless, to implement the plan still required lots of timing and precision.

"I'll only have 5 seconds to act when they scan and use the chance to latch myself to the ceiling." He murmured, feeling regretful that his mind had been so clouded to think of this part.
