Chapter 483: [Dystopian Elven War] [59] [Rank Eternal]
[Eastern Borders, Tamrial Kingdom]
[The army of Vampires]
Edwin looked at the troops of thousand standing in front of him with a hint of approval in his eyes.
The trained army of his with selectively picked commander was now ready to handle anything.
Edwin closed his eyes, raising his head slightly.
'I am finally going to complete your wish…ancestor.'
A smile crept on his face as he finally saw himself winning.
For countless years, the vampires have been oppressed and looked down upon.
Edwin hated it, he hated how the elves considered themselves superior.
Those filthy beings that are still alive only because of the World Tree.
He drew in a deep breath, suppressing his deep-rooted hate.
'It doesn't matter now.'
He thought, his eyes slowly opening.
'The elves will be annihilated today.'
Lines of different portals were on standby as well.
Once they crush the western border Edwin planned to join forces with the Demiurges to kill the rest of the army.
His smile only grew as he turned around and found a man standing there.
His gaze was firm but he had a hollow look in his eyes.
His short black hair fixed properly, body wrapped in a chainmail armor.
Those crimson eyes remained fixed at Edwin.
The Head of Valentine Household smiled as he looked at his son. "I am glad you chose to join me in this war, son."
Ledger looked at his father with nothing but hatred.
Edwin didn't mind as he placed his hand over his shoulder.
"What happened to your daughter wasn't your fault." He spoke. "Siersha chose that stupid boy and died because of it."
"..."
Ledger swallowed his anger as he nodded.
Ledger would have never joined this stupid war but to keep his son Carson.
Had he not joined the war, Edwin would have forced Carson.
"We will look for your daughter's remains after we win the war." Edwin spoke with a smile.
"I am sure some bones of her should be somewhere out there."
Edwin oozing with confidence walked away with a smile on his face.
Though he quickly got serious as he turned to look at the troops of human soldiers.
His gaze remained especially on the boy who stood as the commander of the group.
'Aimar….'
Edwin for some reason had a good image of the boy even after his association with Himmel.
The boy struck him as someone who is an opportunistic person.
Though, he still found his involvement in the war suspicious.
'….But it doesn't matter.'
He thought, stretching his neck slightly.
'He is nothing in front of a demigod like me.'

[Oliver's POV]
'…Why is this old man staring at me?'
Oliver wondered as he looked back Edwin who quickly averted his eyes.
'Stupid fuck.'
He scoffed as he looked at the army standing behind him.
The first thing that he noticed was the look of distance on their face.
'…They really don't like me, do they?'
He thought, chuckling to himself as he looked away.
[≤Are you going to kill Elves now?≥]
The sweet and gentle voice of Lilith echoed within his mind.
'Why?' he asked. 'Do you have a problem with that?'
[≤No. I just don't want you to cry in my arms later on.≥]
'Don't say that.' Oliver thought, rubbing his face. 'And I bet you would love to see that side of mine.'
[≤…..≥]
She didn't respond making him smile slightly.
'My plan is to kill the army behind me.' He thought, tightening the grip on his chain weapon.
'I have no plans to hurt those who aren't coming in my way.'
[≤I am glad.≥]
Oliver didn't reply as he looked down at his hands.
'Hey, Lilith.' he thought, grimly. 'Is Azariah really—.'
[≤No. There is a Goddess always protecting him and I don't think she will let him die.≥]
'…I see.'
He drew in a deep breath as he wore his helmet.
"Form the lines,"
A voice echoed within the battlefield.
Oliver turned to look at Edwin who slowly began to float in the air.
"We take what's ours today!"
His voice echoed feeding the vampires below him.
"The tyranny of the elves will end today and no one can stop it!"
"HOOO!!!"
The battle cry from the vampires echoed.
Edwin pointed at the elven soldiers standing in front of them.
"In the name of Goddess Sekhmeth."
He spoke slowly but clearly.
"Charge."

[Capital City, Tamrial Kingdom.]
[Near World Tree.]
Nerissa stood in front of the world tree as her gaze remained fixed on it.
Another woman stood by her side staring at the World Tree as well.
"….Are you at your end?" Nerissa asked, glancing at the woman. "Lady Elfie?"
Elfie nodded her head, reaching out to touch the dying World Tree.
"There is nothing we can do now." She spoke with a sad smile. "…. It's already too late."
Nerissa didn't speak as she kept on looking at the tree.
Since she was a child, Nerissa had always seen the World Tree as the symbol of hope.
Now, seeing it dying didn't make her feel bitter.
Nerissa reached out her hand, brushing her fingers across the faintly glowing bark.
"What will happen with the Gate of Hell?"
Nerissa asked as she let her hand fall down.
"Will it—."
"Yes." Elfie nodded her head. "It will open up and corrupt the entire city."
"….I see."
Nerissa didn't know what to say anymore.
Her childhood belonged to this place and knowing it will be destroyed….
She let out a sigh as she looked at Elfie once again.
"…I plan to find a quiet place." She spoke gently. "I want to spend the rest of my time to make up the mistakes I made."
Elfie looked at her with a tender look on her face. "….I see."
Nerissa hesitated for a second before she forced herself to ask.
"…Am I doing the right thing?" She looked down. "By running away?"
"People make choices and they have consequences." Elfie spoke softly. "It's up to you if you can live with those burdens."
Nerissa didn't reply as she kept on looking down.
She slowly turned around and walked away from the place.
She had made up her mind and she wasn't going to change it no matter what.
Taking in a deep breath, she moved back to her house.
But something still pressed in her chest.
It was her intuition that was telling her something was really wrong.
Nerissa ignored it as she moved towards her house.
…As she reached closer she felt a presence inside her house.
She quickly walked in, her expression hurried as she found both Nymeria and Mariam inside.
She frowned. "…Mariam?" She walked closer. "What are you doing—?"
"You need to get out of here!" Mariam snapped pushing Nymeria towards her. "Leave the kingdom now!"
Nerissa blinked, caught off guard. "What's going on."
Nymeria's eyes flicked to the window as if she expected someone to burst through at any moment.
"Something is wrong mother."
Mariam's hands were tight on Nymeria's shoulders, and she looked pale.
"The Gerald Household is dead." She spoke her voice firm. "Everyone of your family is dead."
Nerissa's mind turned blank. "….What?"
"I came back as fast as I can from the border after hearing the news." She spoke, her voice urgent. "…You need to leave now."
Nerissa remained frozen as Mariam pushed her away.
She finally looked at Mariam. "….Who?"
BOOOMM!!!
Her question was answered as something fell from the sky right in front of their house.
As dust settled down, a man with long crimson hair stood with his hand clasped behind his back.

[Palace of dignity, Demiurge Kingdom.]
[Himmel's POV.]
The world around me twisted as soon as I reached the other space of the Lumina.
In only a fraction of a second, I was back to the place from the place I vanished from.
[<Qais, Qais! Can you hear me!>]
A loud, almost panicked voice boomed in my head.
'…Inna?'
[<Ah, you are safe right. Are you alright?>]
'….Yeah.'
I thought, closing my eyes as I felt an enormous amount of data flooding my mind.
…Knowledge that I shouldn't be aware of was jamming my thought process.
"…Mom…."
A sniffing voice made me stop for a second as I looked to my side.
Zenith sat on the ground, hugging herself like a child lost in a crowd.
'….What?'
I immediately noticed the changes in her physical body.
She looked much older now and much more mature.
….She looked more like Yenna than Zenith herself.
"…Zenith." I spoke softly. "….Where is Yennefer?"
She didn't speak as she began to cry even more.
My thought process stopped as I finally understood. "…I see."
[<Qais, you need to leave your kingdom quickly.>]
I nodded my head in response as I could feel it as well.
Someone or something was trying to affect my mind as well.
I closed my eyes as I drew in a deep breath.
In an instant, millions of random information flooded my mind.
They were unfiltered and much more useless.
The noise in my head grew unbearable, like thousands of voices whispering at once.
[<Do not try to control the entire World Qais!>]
Inna's words snapped me out.
[<Build it like you are making a new kingdom, start with just—>]
SWISH!!!
A violent and torrent wind broke my focus from her voice as I looked above me.
An enormous war hammer was heading straight for my head.
I didn't move, I just willed that the hammer would miss the mark.
And that is exactly what happened, the air around it bent and it slammed right beside me.
I formed a shield around Zenith to keep her safe as I looked at the man who threw it.
"I knew you would come back!" Kryllios spoke with a bright smile on his face.
"No way, you were going to die without a proper fight!"
I spoke, my voice dead serious. "….I don't have time for you, Kryllios."
He only smiled brighter at my words.
"No can't do." The hammer floated as it moved back in his hand.
"We are just a step away from winning, I can't let you destroy all my work."
I slowly closed my eyes for a long while before I opened them once again.
'….I can't sense Siersha anywhere around us.'
There was a shudder in my heart but I chose to ignore that.
I raised my hand as the Sun Disk slowly appeared behind me.
A crimson liquid poured out of my hand, forming into Naraka.
[<You still haven't formed your kingdom completely.>]
'Don't worry.'
I thought, slowly letting mana lift my body.
'I can form my kingdom and kill him at the same time.'
