Reincarnated As The Villainess's Son

Chapter 299: Wilhlem [1]

"The Three Main Gods who are worshipped by the majority of humanity."

Wilhlem's voice echoed within the class as he stared at every student who listened to his words attentively.

"As you all know, they are—Elohim, Adon, and Elyon."

His gaze swept around the class before landing on Himmel.

His expression hardened as he noticed him sleeping with earphones on, but he chose to ignore him.

"Humanity was weak—weaker than any race for most of their existence in Lumina." Enjoy new chapters from empire

He gestured toward Aimar. "How did they come to existence?"

"There is no proper explanation about it," Aimar replied, shaking his head.

Wilhlem nodded, pacing around the class. "Like he said, there isn't any concrete evidence of how they came to existence.

Some say they were born from a pair of man and woman. Can anyone tell me their names?"

""Adam and Eve.""

The sound resonated within the class, making Wilhelm nod.

"Some say humans originated from their reproduction. Some say they were made by the Anunnaki, which many believe are just a different name for the Three Main Gods."

For a moment, Wilhlem hesitated, as though tempted to reveal more.

But he quickly shook off the thought and resumed.

"Regardless of the theory, one fact is agreed upon: humanity did not descend from the Origin Races—the Dajin and the Divyan. Yet today, humanity stands as one of the most well-known races in Lumina."

His gaze swept across the class once more. "Can anyone tell me why?"

"...."

A complete silence lingered within the class, which made Wilhelm sigh.

"It's because of the Three Main Gods," he replied, pointing at the board behind him. "To be more specific, it's their church that helped humans."

He asked, "Elijah, when did the church first become prominent?"

Elijah, who was busy poking Himmel with a pen, flinched before composing himself.

"Just after the birth of the first Child of Mana," he replied, looking at Wilhelm. "But their growth increased rapidly after the Second Holy War."

"Exactly." Wilhlem moved before leaning against the teacher's desk. "It's believed that, unlike other races, humanity had far more help from the Gods."

Taking his stick, he moved toward the board. "One of the ways was by sending their messengers—beings who helped them overcome many hurdles. One of the most prominent among them was Moshel."

He pointed at the intricate diagrams of churches sketched on the board.

"Many churches exist, including those aligned with the Dark Trinity.

Yet humanity continues to favor the Church of the Three Main Gods. Why?"

RINGGG!!!!!

The bell rang, ending the class.

Wilhlem placed his stick down as he looked at the students once again.

"The annual field trip is in three days," he announced. "All selected students from the Diamond, Gold, and Platinum classes should prepare accordingly."

The students murmured in excitement as they began packing their bags.

Wilhlem's gaze, however, remained on the sleeping boy.

"Himmel," he snarled, looking at him.

Elijah shook him violently, making Himmel groan in frustration.

"What?" Himmel grumbled, glaring at Elijah before turning his gaze to Wilhelm.

"Meet me in my main office after classes," Wilhlem ordered curtly, then strode out of the room.

Himmel nodded before falling asleep once again.

******

"Urgh."

I groaned as I walked through the grounds of the academy.

It was already noon, with the sun shining brightly above us.

'Where did she go?'

I thought as I sighed tiredly, removing my earphones while stopping the music.

Yesterday, I was so close to Echo, but I still couldn't see her.

I tried finding her all around the mall but couldn't.

It was as if she just disappeared.

'I wish I could have identified her bird earlier.'

Was I disappointed?

Of course, I was.

With all the things going on around me, I completely forgot about her.

She lives in Akasha and attends the same academy.

'Though she rarely joins any class.'

Well, her circumstances don't allow her to move freely.

Her being the [Forbidden Heroine] of the game doesn't help either.

[Aren't you too obsessed with her?>]

'I am not.'

[<Really? Don't you sleep listening to her song. Daily.>]

'...That's just because her music is good.'

[<Sure, keep telling yourself that.>]

Listening to her song doesn't mean I am obsessed.

"Why did he call you?" My gaze turned to my side where Elijah walked along with me.

"I asked Mariam for an appointment with him," I replied, looking forward. "I have a few things I want to talk about."

"I see," he mumbled, nodding his head.

"But why do we have to come along?" Aimar groaned, dragging his feet behind us.

"Just come with me, will you?" I replied, glancing back at him.

He muttered something under his breath, but I chose to ignore it.

"By the way, did something happen between you and Siersha?" Elijah asked, his voice laced with curiosity. "She seems—"

"Nothing happened," I cut into his words. "And she isn't really my fiancée, so don't bother trying to tease me with her."

He frowned, but I quickened my pace before he could ask anything.

We quickly arrived at the building assigned to Wilhlem.

Calling it a building would be an overstatement.

It was more like a house.

Between the house and the boundary, there was a garden.

A garden from where a child's laughter echoed.

"Do the honours."

I gestured towards Elijah to open the door.

He was regular here, so it was better for him to open it.

He sighed, opening the door, walking inside, and we followed behind him.

The first thing that came into my view was the beautiful garden, and at the side was a resting table where Wilhlem sat.

He was mixing some ingredients, seemingly making some kind of dish.

"Someone is here, Daddy!"

My gaze shifted towards a little girl's cheerful voice.

She had abnormally pale skin along with long, elongated ears peeking through her black hair.

Unlike her sickly appearance, her eyes were shining green, just like her father's.

Wilhlem turned to look at us; only then did I notice.

He was wearing an apron with a teddy bear printed on it.

"Uncle!"

The little girl immediately recognized Elijah as she rushed towards him.

Elijah grinned, pulling a small pack of chocolates from his pocket. "This is for you, Izara."

"Come in," Wilhlem said, his tone neutral as he gestured toward us.

Then he turned to Elijah, adding, "And bring her here."

"Yes, sir." Elijah grabbed Izara's hand and guided her back toward Wilhelm.

We also walked behind him, albeit Aimar had a weird look on his face.

As we approached, Wilhlem smiled gently and picked up his daughter, placing her on the table beside him.

"What happened?" I mumbled, leaning closer to him.

"Is he really that Wilhlem?" he whispered back. "He can smile like that?"

"I know it's hard to accept," I replied, gazing at him. "He seems like a different—"

"I can hear both of you," Wilhlem said, looking at us.

I cleared my throat as I asked, "Your daughter?"

Wilhlem didn't answer immediately.

Instead, he scooped a spoonful of food and gently fed it to her.

"She is," Elijah confirmed, taking a seat around the table.

Izara's curious gaze fell on me, her bright eyes wide as she stared in silence.

I smiled softly, waving at her.

She tilted her head slightly, her lips parting as if in a daze.

Wilhlem continued to feed her while we awkwardly stood there.

Scratching my cheek, I asked, "Should we come later—?"

"What do you want to talk about?" Wilhelm cut in my words.

[<Qais>]

'Hm?'

[<Just an advice. Be serious.>]

"..."

I drew in a deep breath.

She is right.

I need to make the conversation go my way.

Wilhlem will be important to me and to Elijah as well.

I can't let him meet the same ending as the game.

I rubbed my cheek as I looked at the pair of father and daughter.

...What would Esmeray do if she were in my situation?

More importantly, can I really pull this off?

"Himmel?"

"Your daughter looks a lot different than you," I said, looking at the girl.

"She takes after her mother," Wilhlem replied, his voice softening as he gently wiped his daughter's face.

Oddly enough, she was still looking at me in a daze.

"I see," I replied, taking a seat beside Elijah. "Your wife must be quite beautiful."

"..."

Wilhlem just combed his daughter's hair after feeding her.

"Is she away?" I asked, feigning ignorance. "I don't see her."

Elijah tugged my sleeve. "She's not with us anymore."

"Oh," I replied, acting surprised.

I looked back at Wilhlem, who placed his daughter down. "I am sorry, I didn't know that—"

"Get to the point," he said calmly, looking at me.

Before I could respond, Izara toddled over to me, her small hand reaching out.

Her sparkling eyes met mine as she pointed toward me and asked, "Daddy, can I have him?"

"..."

Wilhlem glared at me furiously.

What the fuck did I do?

I sighed, kneeling down to her level.

Ruffling her hair lightly, I said, "You can't have me—someone's already claimed me."

She whimpered, rushing back towards her father. "Daddy!"

"Yes, I heard him," Wilhlem muttered, scooping her up with ease. "He's a bad guy—don't go near him."

"But I want him!" Izara pouted, tears welling in her eyes.

"You can't, Izara," Elijah chimed in, looking at her. "He is already engaged."

"But uncl—Cough, cough."

Her words died out as she started coughing violently.

"There, there," Wilhlem soothed, rubbing her back gently.

I stood up as I looked at Wilhelm.

The look of distress on his face as he looked at his daughter.

...I have seen this before.

"Can you play with him?" Wilhlem asked, looking at Elijah.

"Sure," Elijah replied, standing up.

He took Izara and walked away with Aimar.

I sat back on the chair while Wilhlem did the same.

"She seems sick," I said, looking at Izara playing with Elijah.

"Don't state the obvious," he scoffed, glaring at me. "What do you want?"

I leaned back lazily in my chair and exhaled. "Let's make a deal."

He frowned. "Deal?"

"Yes," I said, looking into his eyes. "I want Oiyz Sword Art."

I blinked.

A sword rushed toward my face.
