I watched as Chippo's mom knelt on the ground, begging us to save her son. We all hurried to help her up, promising we'd go rescue him and telling her not to worry. It took forever to convince her, but she finally stood.

Then, the question hit us—where was Chippo's dad? Asking that just made her break down in tears again. From her reaction, I could tell something awful had happened. And yeah, it had. She told us that while escaping the construction site, guards attacked them. Her husband got hit and didn't make it. We had to comfort her all over again until she stopped crying.

Suddenly, I noticed Doraemon's face looking all serious while he checked on Prince Kuntakku with his Doctor's Kit. Everyone's attention shifted there.

"How is it, Your Excellency Doraemon?" Brus asked, sounding worried.

"I'm sorry, but he's lost too much blood, and his heart has been pierced," Doraemon replied. "And it's not just the heart—his spleen and lungs are also damaged. Especially that sword wound in the middle, which nearly cut the prince in half at the waist. The external injuries are one thing, but I discovered that he was poisoned a long time ago. If he hadn't suffered such severe injuries, it would have been fine; over time, his body would naturally expel the toxins. But with this injury, the poison has spread throughout his entire body. With wounds this severe, I'm truly powerless!"

He said it all apologetically. Brus cursed, "Damn it! It must be Daburanda—he poisoned His Majesty and must have poisoned the prince long ago as well."

Man, this prince is really pitiful, I thought. Poisoned and hacked up like he's been dismembered.

Just then, after Doraemon's treatment, Prince Kuntakku slowly woke up.

"Your Highness, rest assured, I will definitely save you!" Brus said, trying not to cry.

"No need to say it, Brus. I heard everything just now!" The prince's dog-like face was pale and weak.

"Your Highness, don't say that. This country still needs you!" Brus was tearing up now.

"Brus, have you forgotten that prophecy?" The prince shifted the topic away from his injuries.

"You mean the prophecy of King Bauwanko the First from the legends?" Brus and Chippo's mom both gasped.

"What prophecy?" Doraemon asked, curious.

Brus took over so the prince didn't have to strain: "It's an ancient legend passed down in the royal family. In times of national turmoil, five foreigners will come here and activate the Heart of the Giant God. So it seems that you all are the warriors from the prophecy who will save the country."

Five? Isn't it supposed to be ten? The original plot's been changed again, I thought.

"But what do we do next? The prince is in this state!" Doraemon asked, worried.

"Then we'll wait for the prince..." Brus started, probably meaning to wait until he recovered. But we all knew that wasn't happening.

"Brus! You've forgotten that this country has another person with the blood of Bauwanko!" The prince's words lit a spark of hope in Brus.

"You mean..." Brus hesitated.

"That's right, Princess Spiana!" The prince finished.

A prince and princess in the same kingdom—siblings, no less. And they got married? I mean, full-on married, like sharing a bed and everything. Incestuous royals screwing each other to keep the bloodline pure. Damn, noble circles are so fucked up and twisted.

"Nobita! Can you come over here?" The prince's voice snapped me out of my gross thoughts.

I was stunned—why me? But I walked over anyway.

"Nobita, besides Brus, you're the person I trust the most!" he said right away.

I was confused about what he wanted.

"I have one more request for you. Considering I'm about to die, I know this is imposing, especially since all along this journey, you've been helping me without any repayment from me, and now I'm asking for even more help!" He sounded so sorry.

"Go ahead, what is it? If it's something within my power, I'll help you!" I couldn't refuse him like this.

Seeing I'd agreed, he struggled to sit up, even though Brus told him not to move. Ignoring that, he took off his gem necklace and handed it to me.

"Nobita! This is for you!"

I looked it over—a gold chain with a diamond-shaped frame holding a green gem. Super fancy. How'd he hide this while wandering without anyone stealing it?

"Your Highness, this is..." Brus tried to protest, but the prince cut him off.

"Nobita, I hope you take this necklace and go rescue Princess Spiana. When she sees this necklace, she'll believe you," he pleaded. "With my body in this state, I can't continue the mission to save the country. Now, only Princess Spiana can take my place to save this nation, and you're the only one who can enter the palace!"

"No way! You know how dangerous the palace is?" Shizuka jumped in, all protective like a mama leopard.

"I know this is really imposing, but I truly have no other choice!" The prince was basically begging now, like he might drop to his knees.

"Alright! I'll help you!" I thought about my superpowers—sneaking in to save someone shouldn't be too risky.

"Thank you! Thank you, Nobita!" Tears streamed down his face.

"No, Nobita, how can you agree to something so dangerous?" Shizuka and Doraemon tried to talk me out of it.

"Listen to me. We have to defeat Daburanda anyway. This isn't just about this kingdom anymore—they want to invade the human world too. To protect the outside world, I have to do this!"

Sure, their tech isn't that advanced—they'd probably just mess with some natives outside—but it made a good excuse.

"But..." They couldn't argue.

"But we're going with you!" Doraemon suggested.

"Don't you know my abilities? I can bring Princess Spiana out, but not a whole group! And if you all leave, who's protecting the prince and Chippo's mom? Just Brus?" I talked them down.

After a ton of arguing, they finally chilled out.

We used Doraemon's Plant Re-modeler to whip up some food and get warm, then everyone found spots to rest. I got myself ready for tomorrow's rescue mission on Princess Spiana.
