"Everyone digging for mana cores take half of what you find" Gordon looked at the rats and mouse who were digging "the other half bring it to me, I want to convince Vice to make everyone stronger" the mouse and rats kept digging
"Were done, you prick" Scarlet crossed her arms and waited for Gordon but he kept digging for cores
"Hey" she walked to Gordon "are you ignoring me?" she stood in front of Gordon
'Someone has take care of him until he wakes up' he kept digging 'I doubt they'll do since they all voted to have him killed' he stopped and looked up at Scarlet
"Do you want something?" He spoke
"Were done" she looked at him with cold eyes
He looked at the hawks and buzzards circling the sky 'the rats and mouse need to leave'
"Everyone its time to go back to the caves, we'll come back tomorrow" the rats and mouse ran off, he walked on the uneven dirt to Vice
Valeria and Freya walked away when he arrived "what should we do?" He looked at Jones and Lucas
"We" Jones glared at Gordon "this was your choice deal with it" he walked away with Lucas
'I should really learn to shut up' he sighed as he looked at Vice 'how am I going to carry him back to the cave'
He looked around, all he could see was Scarlet and canyon wall across the rivine
He grabbed Vice arms and looked at Scarlet "please, grab his legs" she walked over and grabbed the legs
They walked next to the rivine back to the cave ,the wind peppered with dust but they gritted their teeth and kept walking after while they entered the cave
"Thud"
They dropped Vice on the dirt next to the green portal
"Huff..huff " Gordon leaned against the dirt wall catching his breath, he smiled at Scarlet who was straggling to breath "Thanks for the help"
Scarlet looked at him "Im not helping you, I'm repaying a favour thats all"
"Yeah" he looked up at the ceiling still smiling
"Im only doing this until he gets better" She looked at Vice "after that were even"
"Thanks" he smiled at her, she looked away from him "prick" she spoke under her breath
"lets put him inside" they lifted him and walked into the the portal
"Thud"
Vice legs dropped as Scarlet covered her mouth while Gordon stood there frozen, their home had been reduced to ashes
"what happened?" She looked at Gordon
"We'll ask him when he wakes up" Gordon clenched his jaw and dragged Vice through the black smoke
Scarlet snapped back to reality as she heard the crunching sound of Gordon footsteps, she ran and picked up Vice legs and they walked to the core region
They could not see a single tree as they crossed the regions even the mana that divided the regions had been destroyed
"Do you think he did this?" she spoke as they climbed up the slope
Gordon said nothing, the small rocks clattered down the slope as they climbed to the peak
They entered a cave that had vines on the walls and put Vice on the dirt, Scarlet sat against the wall while Gordon walked to the entrance and looked at the black smoke that covered the sky
'It doesn't make sense, why would he destroy the whole forest?' he looked at the barren land 'did I make the right choice?' His hands balled into fists
'If he did this to forest what will happen to us when he wakes up' he narrowed his eyes as he turned to Vice 'no it doesn't make sense, if he wanted to starve us he wouldn't need to go this far' he stepped closer to Vice, his fists shaking
"Gordon, do you remember when you asked me if I trusted you?" She sat with her arms wrapped around her legs
"Yes" he looked at her watery eyes
"Im trusting you this time" she buried her head in her knees
Gordon's fists stopped shaking, he looked at Vice 'I'll ask him what happened'
He walked back to the exit and waited for Vice to wake up

It took three days for Vice to wake up, in that time Gordon and Scarlet ate the tree roots from the stumps they gave Vice water while he was unconscious
"Growl"
His stomach growled as he sat in the dark cave, he looked at the two ratman that stood at the dim entrance

Vice took out some goblin meat and ate ignoring the two ratman watching him 'I need to grow stronger' he kept replaying the incident that happened in the goblin town
'She wasn't even fight me with her full strength' his jaw clenched 'if I can't touch her I'll never beat Nate and the twins'
He took another bit of the goblin meat 'leveling up is my number one priority until I meet them again' the bone in the meat snapped as he tightened his grip 'I'll kill that bastard then.. '
"What happened to the forest?" Gordon voice interrupted his train of thought
he looked at the two ratman that stood at the entrance "a human burned everything" he went back to his eating the goblin meat
'I owe Gordon that swordsmanship training' he threw a bone to the dirt then took out two books
'This books belong to Raz they should work well on Gordon' he looked at Gordon 'I should turn him into a celestial ratman'
