Chapter 8: Magic Coins
Time passed without realizing it, Glen who had learned knowledge about the world of magic, had now mastered the basic things that Jill taught him.
On the other hand, the relationship between the two of them becomes increasingly close and romantic, this is based on the two of them always doing everything together.
And this of course makes the two of them understand each other more.
"Glen you have mastered all the basic water attribute magic that I taught you" with an amazed look Jill said to Glen.
He, who was given the task of teaching basic water attribute magic to Glen, had to admit that Glen's talent was one of the best he had ever known.
Generally it takes more than 1 month for someone to be able to make small progress in magic.
Which includes 1 magic spell for them to master.
And Glen in front of him currently only needs 1 day to understand basic magic and the next day to be able to practice it.
Which of course made her amazed and surprised by Glen's magical talent.
"Ahhh...is that all, Jill? Why do I feel so short??" Helpless, Glen felt that what Jill taught was very ordinary and little.
What he didn't realize was that he was like a very strong sponge in absorbing the magical knowledge that Jill had given him.
Without any obstacles and with his understanding of magic combined from his previous life, Glen understood it very easily.
"Is everyone the same as you, so perverted Glen????" Annoyed Jill said back.
"Hahaha...I don't know about that, Jill," replied Glen in a joking tone, because he knew from what Jill had told him that he was a talent that had been rare for hundreds of years.
"Never mind, don't talk about yourself, it will only make me annoyed and jealous," replied Jill again as she sat next to Glen.
"Ohhh...you could be jealous too Jill," Glen teased again.
" Why not??? Isn't it natural to be jealous of you, Glen if other people at birth have to learn to roll over, stand, walk and run, then when you are born you can walk straight away and run in no time, isn't this cheating!!" Jill replied again with a helpless expression.
Even so, she felt happy because after all Glen was her husband and master.
Thinking about the child who might be born in Glen's bloodline, Jill somehow felt excited and blushed with embarrassment at the thought.
Glen, who saw Jill's cheeks suddenly turn red, felt strange and asked.
"Why are you blushing??" Glen asked.
"I just remembered something funny" distracted him and then spoke again.
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Jill asked Glen.
"I'm always ready," replied Glen with sharp eyes.
He had some worries within him, but it couldn't make him doubt about the future he would face.
Moreover, after he had digested a lot of information about the magical world from Jil, He also realized that even though it seemed very dangerous.
But on the other hand, he also has various prospects of good opportunities and a future full of new things that he is ready to discover.
So instead of being pessimistic, Glen prefers to be optimistic about this.
Why is there basically that he can't refuse, and there are big hopes from his late parents and also Jil, his partner.
"It's good if you have an attitude like that, Glen, I'm very proud," replied Jill happily.
He felt that Glen was very mature despite his young age, but he was very wise in thinking and acting.
Thinking about Glen's previous attitude when his parents were still around, Jill couldn't imagine the big changes that had happened to Glen now.
Can make him so mature and wise.
"Everyone needs to grow up Jill and so do I," replied Glen firmly as he continued talking.
"Especially now, I have become the head of the maple family and the honor of the maple family Can't stop and die in me, I have to spread it to grow strong and big.
And for that reason, even though the future seems uncertain and does not look easy, I remain optimistic and positive in order to protect myself and the people closest to me like you from all kinds of dangers that might come." Glen then made a determination about the future he had want.
"I will definitely accompany you Glen, whatever happens." Jill, who was impressed by what Glen said, also made her own promise.
She knew at this moment that Glenn would definitely change the wizarding world and make him known by name.
Because of the radiance the aura that Glen gave her, she realized a big vision that he was trying to portray to herself.
And strangely she could see the physical image, as if it was something that would happen in the future.
"Okay then let's prepare for tomorrow" Glen then said again to prepare for their departure to the wizarding world.
"Okay," answered Jill happily.
#####
"Gold is the main transaction tool used in the wizarding world, gold will be converted into magic coins which are the only legal tender in the entire wizarding world.
The conversion values provided for exchanging gold into magic coins have the following values:
1 gram of gold = 1 magic coin
And these values remain and have not changed for thousands of years," Jill explained briefly to Glen.
"Ohhhh...it's really very expensive, what's so unique about this magic coin???" Glen asked Jill.
Feeling that this exchange is quite expensive when compared with the real world today, please note that the price of gold per gram in the world this year, which is in the 90's, is equal to.
310 £ / Troy, which is equal to 31 £ / Gram of gold.
Even though a worker's annual income is only around £35,000, which if divided into monthly income is around £2900 per month.
Which if divided into gold can only get less than 100 grams of gold, (2900£ : 31£ = 93.5 grams of gold)
And now Glen, who listened to the explanation of the exchange rate of gold for magic coins, felt that it was very expensive, even though he didn't really know the real price of necessities and goods in the wizarding world.
"So what are the prices of basic necessities in the wizarding world? Isn't that very expensive???" Glen asked, curious about the value of this magic coin
"Don't worry, even though it looks expensive, basic necessities such as food and clothing are relatively affordable and there are some food ingredients that are cheaper compared to the real world," answered Jill.
" Just food and clothes??? That means besides that it's expensive, right???" Glen caught Jill's meaning.
