56: Jill Valentine
Lyon looked up.
Did that helicopter that was hovering just explode?
Among the scattered flames, the wreckage of the aircraft spun and crashed into another building.
After a series of collisions, the wreckage got stuck between floors, igniting flames and sending a large amount of glass and building materials cascading down.
Lyon felt a strange sense of déjà vu watching this scene.
Speaking of which, the Resident Evil series was also jokingly called the Vehicle Crisis.
In the games, every operational vehicle featured eventually got destroyed.
So, it wasn't surprising that the helicopter exploded.
Maybe it was overloaded with too many muscular men, and that's why it blew up?
Lyon couldn't help but speculate with a bit of schadenfreude.
Suddenly, his ears twitched as more sounds came from the high-rise.
Grumble..
"Master Lyon. Is that... a car? A car on the rooftop?"
He looked up again in astonishment.
On the rooftop of a seven-story building, a car crashed through the railing and plummeted straight down with a completely black, towering figure on top.
Thud!
The car, with the large black figure on top, smashed heavily into the ground, creating a sound so deep it made one's heart tremble.
After the fall, the car, now unstable, flipped over, roof down, and crashed to the ground again.
At this moment, the black figure trapped under it was revealed, lying motionless on the ground.
Inside the car, a girl was continuously screaming.
She screamed in pain as the car hit the ground.
Being jostled by various forces and reacting against the roof and doors of the car, she screamed again several times.
Lyon listened and couldn't help but feel pain for her.
But what interested him more was the girl's physique, which seemed unusually robust.
She had fallen from the rooftop of a seven-story building.
Yet, after a brief moment of dizziness, she began to groan and struggle to crawl out through the car window.
Of course, the more outrageous part was that large black figure.
The large black figure was smashed to the ground from the seventh floor by the car.
In just a few seconds, he slowly got up and walked back toward the car again.
A woman, unkillable like a cockroach.
A relentless black figure, who despite being hit by a car and bombarded by artillery, continued to pursue the woman.
This pair was just like Jill Valentine from the games, and the Tyrant model pursuer deployed by the sinister Umbrella Corporation.
The so-called Tyrants are bioweapons created by Umbrella Corporation, using the T-virus and compatible clones for transformative amalgamations.
Lyon remembered that this particular Tyrant was also referred to as the Nemesis.
As for Jill, she was a member of a special elite police squad called STARS.
She was among the first police officers in the Resident Evil universe to experience a biohazard outbreak.
She is also one of the key characters in this world.
Known for her strong sense of justice and resilient character.
She has neat, shoulder-length short hair and her classic appearance includes wearing a blue tank top.
She is known as "the breathtakingly beautiful woman."
"Good, now I know the time and place I'm in."
This scene right before him was straight out of the game.
"It's 1998, September 28th, around 9:00 PM. The location is near the Redstone Train Station in Raccoon City."
Lyon, drawing on his memory of the game, deduced the current moment in time.
"Master Lyon, you are correct, it is now 9:14 PM, and you are less than a kilometer from the Redstone Station," Jarvis suddenly spoke.
"I knew it," Lyon raised an eyebrow and flipped open his faceplate, "Looks like you've connected to the network?"
"Yes, but you had previously instructed me to stop gathering information online, so I don't know much about this world right now."
"Forget that order. Continue collecting information, focusing on the Umbrella Corporation, military movements of the US, and the HCF organization."
"Understood, master."
Lyon didn't say more. He smelled the thick gunpowder in the air and noticed that Jill had already climbed out of the car window.
However, at that moment, Jill was also looking at him.
They made eye contact for a second, and a look of urgency visibly crossed Jill's face.
"Are you human?"
Lyon, in his suit of steel armor, was indeed a bit ahead of his time in 1998.
However, as soon as Jill asked the question, she already had her answer.
She frantically waved at Lyon.
"Run! Run fast! Don't just stand there, go somewhere safe! This place is dangerous!"
She shouted loudly, not noticing that the car behind her had already caught fire.
The car was about to explode, and the Tyrant was quickly closing in on her.
If she didn't move soon,
she would first be engulfed by the explosion, and then the Tyrant would finish her off.
Yet, in such a situation,
her instinctive choice was to prioritize warning the strangely dressed stranger she had just seen, urging him to leave quickly.
Sizz—Boom!
As expected, the car exploded.
The flames from the explosion spread, threatening to engulf Jill.
Jill realized this too.
She turned her head, wanting to run, but it was too late, and she could only watch helplessly as the flames sprayed onto her face.
At that moment, she was still lying on the ground, her cheeks acutely feeling the searing heat of the flames, showing a look of despair.
In a daze,
she seemed to see a scene from two months ago when she and her team encountered zombies in a mansion on the outskirts of Raccoon City.
Perhaps from the day she encountered these monsters, she was destined to die at their hands.
However...
Jill hadn't even finished forming her last thoughts.
Suddenly, everything blurred before her eyes.
The scene in front of her rapidly reversed by several meters.
The flames that should have engulfed her blossomed in the distance instead, actually blasting the Tyrant with a solid hit.
Her eyes blankly blinked twice, she sighed with relief, and then suddenly widened her eyes.
'What just happened?'
She glanced to the side and saw the man in the strange iron shell standing next to her, holding her arm.
From the touch on her arm,
it seemed he was wearing a very heavy type of armor.
But the texture of this armor seemed a bit too refined?
The shiny blue and red shell, streamlined figure, looked even more pleasing than a space rocket.
And the circular light on the chest looked like something out of a sci-fi movie, a super futuristic mech warrior.
'But how could that be possible... Something like time travel... is he like those movies... from the future..?'
Jill suddenly thought of how she had just rapidly retreated a dozen meters, and her face changed dramatically.
"You, who are you?" she looked up at the helmeted head.
The faceplate of the man had closed at some point, with only two faint blue lights glowing.
Well, now he looked even more like a mech from a sci-fi movie.
"Let me explain later," a male voice came from beneath the armor.
Hearing this voice, Jill suddenly remembered.
Before, she had seen a male face under that faceplate, seemingly quite handsome.
"Can you tell me who exactly you are..." She wanted to ask more.
Suddenly, a loud explosion came from the firestorm dozens of meters away.
A whizzing sound approached swiftly.
The mech warrior beside her suddenly took a step forward.
With a thud, he caught a piece of the car's wreckage that was thrown towards them.
The sea of fire in the distance then split in two.
The all-black Tyrant emerged from the flames, his body completely engulfed in fierce flames.
"Wow, look at this guy, there's definitely no hotter man in the world right now," the mech warrior joked.
Jill was startled, looking at the Tyrant wrapped in flames in the distance, and subconsciously thought, indeed, it was quite hot.
But she quickly realized, this was the Tyrant B.O.W., what kind of warm man is this!
Her mouth twitched, she pushed herself up off the ground to stand beside the mech warrior.
"What do we do now? Can you beat that big pool?" she blurted out with bold and crude language.
