Regeneration System

Chapter 7: Chapter 7:Level 1

The yelling escalated into banging being heard and the sound of two men grunting.

Kain moves to the door cracking it open just enough so he can see what is happening.

Vulcan is currently being mounted by another man in rags as he is choking Vulcan,

Kainn thinks, "What should I do? Do I care what happens to him? Who else can I get food from? But how can I help? I learned that some receptionist can hold me, and I couldn't break free. What can a grown man do?"

Then he notices some of the swords on the ground. One of them is even close to the door. It looks like it got knocked loose during the struggle.

Kain then begins to consider whether he can save Vulcan and thereby improve his quality of life. Vulcan has sufficient financial resources to establish a workshop and to provide sustenance for at least two individuals. Despite having only recently encountered Vulcan, Kain is already contemplating the possibility of a long-term relationship.

Kain has reached a decision. He begins to advance in a deliberate manner toward the door, attempting to be as quiet as possible while also moving with sufficient speed to reach the man in a timely manner.

Kain starts moving stealthily towards the man and, without wasting any time, swings the sword with all his might into the back of the man's head.

The sword was not properly maintained, lacked the requisite sharpness, and Kain's apparent lack of strength proved inadequate to overcome his adversary in a single swing.

Vulcan Now choking and gasping for air

Kain can see that the man is still alive, which is not ideal. Kain backs away from the man and swings his sword, striking the man again and again. Kain is unsure of the exact number of strikes he delivered, but he continued until a blue screen appeared.

Kain lowered the sword, feeling a sense of detachment. He then observed the injuries sustained by the man, noting that the back of his head was severely damaged and that there was blood on various surfaces.

Moments later Kain was observed to be vomiting repeatedly outside. Despite the absence of any remaining substance in his system, he continued to experience episodes of dry heaving

Vulcan comes outside after a couple of minutes.

Thanks, but you could have let me move. Now I think I got his brains in my mouth, and cleaning up all the blood is going to take you quite some time. Oh, and now you are wasting the food I gave you. Vulcan approaches Kain.

Let's go get you to the river to clean up. I'll just get a bucket. Volcun runs inside and gets a bucket, then comes back out to greet Kain and says, "Let's go."

Volcun and Kain set off for the river. They didn't get a single comment or second glance from anyone along the way. It was as if this was just normal around here..

Once they made it to the River Kain and Volcun, Kain took a moment to clean up. He noticed that this was the first time he was seeing Vulcan not covered in soot.

Volcan appears to be a male in his mid-30s, with a neck-length beard and short brown hair. While he does not possess particularly striking physical characteristics, he is above average in terms of appearance.

Volcan notices Kain looking at him and says, "What do you mean I've got brain in my hair or something?"

Kain just stares at him and says, "I thought you'd look older."

Volcan, shut up and could you please fill that bucket? This isn't going to be a fun time. There is blood everywhere.

Kain fills the bucket, and they both return to the house, where they spend the remainder of the day cleaning. They consume some bread and porage together, after which Kain departs for the closet to obtain some sleep. However, he experiences difficulty falling asleep, ruminating on the events of the day. He recalls that the system had indicated the availability of an update.

System what is new.

First you have reached Level 1 rewarding you with a few thing First is you are given 3 stat points everytime you level up

Second The Regeneration skill has evolved,

Third Missions have now been unlocked more then just daily.

I would like to open my statues

Currently, the System indicates that I am at level 1 and displays the experience points needed to advance. It also provides additional statistics, including my health and mana. However, I haven't noticed any changes in my skills.

system show me my regeneration skill

Regeneration;

Boots your rate of healing by the percentage achieved -->Boosts your recovery rate of Hp, Mp,and Stamina by the percentage achieved.

I must say, this is quite the upgrade. While it isn't particularly powerful at the moment, I can already see the impact it's having on my opponents. They see that I can heal from any attack and never tire, allowing me to cast spells continuously. It's quite effective, if I may say so.

Now system how is my Hp and Mp Calculated

Health points is 10x Vitality

Mana points is 5x Intelligence

OK I see how it works now.

System what about missions.

There are Daily missions, Weekly missions, MIssion board, and Emergence Mission.

What are the differences

Daily mission resets everyday

Weekly every week

Mission board will have independent times and rewards for each also the only one you can freely pick what you want to accept.

Emergence Missions are ones that, if not done, will result in a penalty for the host, which could be anything from losing a stat point to death. You'll also be randomly assigned to these missions, and you can't refuse

All of them seem reasonable except the last one. I'm not sure I understand the system. It seems like you're assigning a mission that could potentially put me in harm's way if I don't complete it. What if I'm unable to do it, or if I do it, it will change my whole life?

Not my problem These are here to make you stronger no Emergence quest is Impossible.

If the host dies then we will just find a new host to continue the experiment, don't forget you are not special you can be replaced.

Oh, thanks for the vote of confidence Kain states in a sarcastic tone.

After another hour of Kain complaining, he gives up and starts to go to sleep. Despite the nightmare, he still manages to get some rest until dawn the next day.
