Chapter275-Wise Angel
Daniel was fully aware that, with his current strength, it was absolutely impossible to break through the defenses of the Emperor of Angels.
In fact, even setting aside the Emperor of Angels, dealing with any one of the demigod-level elite angels was already a tremendous challenge for him.
That was why Milla's advice had been clear from the beginning—recruit as many allies as possible, and scatter the forces of the Angel of Gold and Silver.
Looking across the entirety of the Divine Realm, the only potential allies available… were the prisoners locked away in these celestial prisons.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Vinicius looked at the reports coming in from the front lines, his expression growing increasingly complicated.
Daniel was currently moving at a shocking speed, unlocking prison after prison and releasing hordes of prisoners.
[Prison of Glimmers has been unlocked.]
[Prison of the Fallen has been unlocked.]
[Prison of Corruption has been unlocked.]
…
As more and more prisoners were set free, Milla's face lit up with a dangerous gleam of excitement.
"Well done, Lord Daniel. Keep going—release even more prisoners! Let the Divine Realm plunge into unprecedented chaos!!"
With her expression becoming more deranged by the second, Milla unleashed one of her skills—Random Portal.
In an instant, she created countless portals that scattered the newly released prisoners across various locations—
All of which she had intentionally designated within the bounds of the Divine Realm.
As a result, the entire realm fell into utter turmoil.
And among the most significant sources of disruption was none other than the Fallen Angel—Lucifer.
Having once belonged to the Angel of Gold and Silver, there was no one who understood the process of angelic fall better than Lucifer himself.
He skillfully manipulated his immense mind power, tempting and leading numerous angels down the path of corruption, one after another.
Before long, under Lucifer's banner, an entire army of fallen angels had emerged.
He was no longer a lone renegade—he was a commander.
Thus began a wave of revolt unlike anything the Divine Realm had seen before.
The released prisoners eagerly joined this grand upheaval, throwing themselves into the chaos with unrelenting enthusiasm.
But none of these prisoners were fools.
On the contrary, they all understood one brutal truth:
This was no simple rebellion.
This was another chess game—played by the gods.
They were nothing more than pawns on this divine chessboard.
And in a game played by gods, picking the right side could mean survival and freedom.
Choosing wrong, however, would lead to annihilation, with no hope of return.
That said, deep down, every prisoner knew the same thing—they no longer had a choice.
Now that they had been set loose, there was no going back.
All they could do was grit their teeth and throw themselves into the fight.
They had to do everything in their power to stir up the greatest chaos imaginable within the Divine Realm.
Why?
Because if they didn't seize this moment—if they didn't act with everything they had—
They might not even qualify to remain as pawns.
But amidst all this chaos, one question echoed in the minds of many prisoners:
Who exactly was Daniel?
What kind of background did he have that allowed him to act with such authority and coordination alongside Milla, a former devotee of the Luck Goddess?
One thing was certain—Daniel was clearly not a devotee of the Luck Goddess.
Yet, his relationship with Milla seemed to be one of mutual trust and camaraderie.
This could only mean one thing:
Behind Daniel, there had to be another powerful god—one who was likely on friendly terms with the Luck Goddess.
With no other path left to walk, the prisoners unanimously chose to follow Daniel—down to the bitter end.
And in order to prove their worth, they devoted themselves entirely to sowing destruction and chaos throughout the Divine Realm.
The scale of the unrest rapidly expanded.
The entire realm plunged into madness.
Even the top-tier angels could no longer sit still.
Vinicius, for instance, was already preparing to leave and support the front lines.
But just then—someone blocked his way.
A being that represented the embodiment of intellect and rationality:
The Wise Angel.
"Everyone, do not act out of impulse," the Wise Angel spoke calmly.
"I advise you to suppress your personal emotions and look at the situation from a strategic perspective."
"If we act now to suppress the unrest, we'll be playing right into Daniel's hands."
Vinicius fell silent, absorbing the meaning behind those words.
Gradually, his agitation began to settle.
"I must admit, I was too hasty earlier," he said.
"I was focused only on what's happening in front of me. I failed to consider the deeper implications… So, what should we do next?"
The Wise Angel did not answer immediately.
Instead, he used his teleportation authority to appear directly above a battlefield.
All around him, greenish hellfire was burning through the ranks of weak, low-tier angels.
Yet, the Wise Angel merely watched silently—he made no move to intervene.
In the next moment, Vinicius and several other elite angels teleported to his side.
Then, with a cold, clear voice, the Wise Angel declared:
"These prisoners, no matter how wild they become, cannot leave the Divine Realm."
"And as for our angelic race—we cannot be truly killed."
"The ones falling in these battles are mere foot soldiers. Ordinary angels."
"Whether they are resurrected or not—frankly, it means nothing to our race as a whole."
"In every species, the weak are dead weight."
"So do any of you still believe that these prisoners' actions hold any significance?"
"In truth, they cannot affect the Angel of Gold and Silver in any meaningful way."
"We must stay focused on the only thing that matters—eliminating Daniel, by harnessing the power of the gods."
"As for these rebellious prisoners… let them have their little moment."
"Before long, we'll return them all to their cells with a single stomp."
"Do not be fooled by the surface of things."
"Our goal is singular."
…
As more and more prisoners were released, Daniel began encountering familiar species.
But to his surprise, none of them hailed from the Lands of the Myriad Races.
For example, the terrifying dragon Nidhogg was from a realm called the Dragon Territory.
A demon he had just freed hailed from a plane known as Hell.
And the newly released blood clan member resided in a place called Dark Night Castle, a location entirely unfamiliar to him.
…
After observing closely, Daniel came to a clear realization—
Even among species he was familiar with, their homelands were not located on the Myriad Races' continent.
As he continued speaking with the freed prisoners, more information came to light.
Apparently, they too were from the Origin Lands, but not from either the Myriad Races' continent or the Flesh Continent.
This only confirmed what Daniel had suspected all along:
The Myriad Races' Continent was indeed part of the Origin Lands,
But it was only a small portion.
The Origin Lands were far, far vaster.
Perhaps, on the other side of the Endless Sea, lay the true homelands of these prisoners.
And from what they described, it sounded like most of those lands had already been destroyed by the angels.
