Reborn as the Villain in a Romance Fantasy

Chapter 201: Ch 201: Can you believe it? - Part 2

The innkeeper looked at Layla nervously, waiting to see what the female would answer her with.

However, Layla smiled at the innkeeper before allowing her to rent one room to those people.

"Sure, go ahead. As long as the 'three' of them stay at the ground floor and do not cross into my business, I don't care what they do."

Layla was confident that these people's interference would not hinder her work. Plus, she could feel the familiar magic gawking at her senses and forcing her to notice it.

It was a little annoying for her, but she was reasonable. She would let a few people stay in the inn while occupying it.

"Make sure they sign the waiver that anything that happens during their stay is not our fault. It is up to those people if they go into the wrong room. It wouldn't be our fault if they were to die."

It was unlikely for those three to die from their powerful aura, but you could never be too safe regarding magic.

Magic was volatile and could cause a scary reaction if not managed properly. Layla had no intention of becoming someone who caused others pain because of her magic.

The innkeeper looked delighted, and she understood her assignment.

"Of course, Miss! I will have those people sign the waiver as soon as possible. Also, please don't worry! You won't even know that other people are in the inn while I work. I will provide all your meals and other necessities in your room."

The innkeeper seemed to have a plan to serve Layla, and Layla had no intention of interfering.

She planned to spend most of her time outside and was forming a plan to participate in the competition anyway. She had no time to sit around and play house with the innkeeper.

"Do what you want to. I will head out from the backdoor now, so make sure no one comes near my rooms if they value their lives."

The innkeeper looked beyond happy, and Layla felt she had not heard anything past a certain point.

But it was not Layla's job to ensure that the innkeeper listened to her and noted what she said.

"Don't worry, miss! I won't disappoint you with how I handle things."

The innkeeper assured Layla before she skipped out of the room to tell her new customers this exciting news she just heard.

For a second, Layla felt curious to discover who the trio was and why they were so powerful.

If they were also here for the competition, it might be a problem for her to face them.

But as soon as that thought came into her mind, Luna pressed her snot against Layla's cheek to remind her that she was there.

And as long as Layla had a dragon by her side, what kind of person would be able to oppose her? No force on this earth could become her enemy regarding raw power and potential.

"Luna, let's head out and have some fun. I am excited to see the structure of this place. We should also have a disguise that is not based on magic. As much as I trust myself and your magic, having a backup would also be nice."

The dragon chirped to show that it agreed with Layla's choice.

Luna had not started speaking, but the dragon's vocal cords developed daily.

Now that it did not have to use its magic to support and train Layla's body, the dragon was rapidly gaining strength. Soon, it would be as strong as an adult dragon despite only being a kid.

Layla felt that her dragon was not normal. The egg had hatched far too quickly, and she could feel the infinite magic pool buried under these black scales.

More than a pet or a companion, L;una felt like the final boss of this world.

The only thing that prevented Layla from making this assumption was that the last boss was an ancient god with power rivaling the other three ancient gods combined.

That was all that was said about this in the original story before it became a love-comedy centered around the female lead and her useless male leads.

'Speaking of the female lead, I wonder where Rosette and Adam ended up at once I fell into a coma. Did they make it to the capital all right? Did they meet other leads at this point? I am curious to know which point of the story we are in now.'

Layla was curious but unsure whether the original story had survived her coma.

Ideally, she should have been at the academy with the female and male leads, learning magic and other stuff. But that was not a possibility.

"Ah, well, I will think about it later once I have more freedom and knowledge. For now, I should get a weapon that I can use. I don't want to let anyone notice my unique weapon."

Layla wanted to see the new weapons that had flooded the market.

After she had explained to the dwarf how guns worked, she was especially interested to know if the concept had taken off.

But she was disappointed (or rather relieved) to learn that guns never made their way to other parts or smiths.

"Tsk, do you know that the bastard Dwarf Smith Erwin invented a highly useful weapon called a gun, but he refuses to let anyone sell it for profit commercially? He says it is because it is highly unstable, but to me, it just looks like he wants to make a killer profit.

Don't you think it's unfair? I am sure I can make a better weapon if I know what a gun is and how it works."

The human, which was concerning when you consider that this was the city that valued its smith, complained, his jealousy making him speak unreasonable words. But Layla understood why the male was acting this way.

The state of his shop made it clear that his ware was not selling well, which was concerning considering that this city valued its fights more than anything else.
