Reborn As A Ghost: Time To Build My Undead Army!

Chapter 1558: Starless Apotheosis

"{Starless Apotheosis}!"

Everything converged and died within a single point. A singularity was created within the universe in that moment, as the monstrous beast was consumed by it. Stars dying constantly generated a massive explosion that shook the universe and the boundaries of reality.

BOOOMMM!!!

And then, it exploded, and everything suddenly turned completely white, as if everything had disappeared and returned to nothingness.

"What? This is…? Where am I?"

Maria looked everywhere, only to find a pure white void… and then someone, or something. An endless cloud of that white void, spreading everywhere, reached her with its endless tentacles made of anti-matter.

A single crimson eye glanced at her with curiosity, as the tentacles pushed her away, into a crack through this endless white void.

"We need you in the Tower. It wouldn't be good if you stayed here for much longer, lest you become part of the Void."

"You're…! Ginnungagap?!"

Maria was left speechless, as she was finally meeting her greatest benefactor, and yet what he did was simply push her back where she came from.

She had met him before, though, but it was so brief she felt frustrated. And yet now that she finally had this being in front of her…

She felt a lot of fear. It was something beyond anything, and her.

"That is the name those of the Tower gave to me. Now go, Shub-Eryndra. Destroy the Tower."

"Destroy the Tower… Is that the only way?"

"There is no other way to end this endless cycle of destruction. You saw it yourself. What Odin did to Yggdrasil, what the Nightmare did to Azure Star, you'll see the same thing happening in every world, all brought by the Tower… By the Heavenly Father and his children, the High Administrators, the Archangels."

"…"

"You were made to free everyone. Your status as Boundless, your System and the Archangel within it, to them this was all a joke, but now you've become the greatest threat against their eternal dominion over the Worlds."

"I don't really buy the whole chosen one thing…"

"You don't have to. You're already on that path… if not by choice, you'll do it by necessity. Our needs align together. Even if you don't want to, you'll do it, and that will greatly benefit us."

"I hate how you're not wrong… Goodbye."

Maria thought about it for a long while as she moved through the White Void, or Limbo, into the Universe beyond. She felt a force, a powerful gravitational energy, a dimensional or perhaps divine power pulling her.

It was the Tower. Its warm embrace was calling her back inside its floors once more. As one of the beings born within the Tower, she was bound to it. She could reject it. She felt she could free herself from it and go somewhere else if she desired.

But that wasn't the way either. She had a lot to do back there. She had made a promise to the Cultivators to visit Murim and solve their problems. Then she also wanted to go to Atlantis and visit the Ancestors of the Mermen people, and then also go to Earth, to try to find her sister, her mother, and… her body.

FLAAASH!

The light shone brightly, as Maria moved through it and then reached the stars once more, floating through them, still overflowing with some leftover Divine Dream Power from everyone within her Shadow Realm. She slowly made her way to the Azure Star.

"Ugh, what a mess this is…"

Maria sighed, realizing that with the moon and planet Mars gone, there would be a lot of messy things happening. There were now millions of giant asteroids floating everywhere, and she feared some might end up impacting the planet, destroying it.

She quickly waved her hand, wielding her new powers and the Divine Dream Energy she had left over. Although she couldn't bring back the two astral objects, she could at least take away all the danger left behind from their destruction.

"I am more inclined to destruction than creation… I cannot easily restore what I destroy… but at least I can destroy what's dangerous."

Maria closed her eyes, as her Void Tears divided into millions, flying everywhere, destroying every single dangerous piece of debris within an immensely wide vicinity.

Each Void Tear consumed the debris, making it disappear completely. As she did this, she slowly began shrinking, returning to her original appearance, floating above the skies of Azure Star.

A few meteors had fallen, and some destruction had been brought to the world. She even saw a tsunami striking a few countries, thousands dying…

But even then, the fight and her victory prevented billions from dying.

As she descended, she reached the empty sea where the island had been located and placed it back there using her Shadow Realm and her Abyssal Dreamwave Dominion, fusing it with her Abyssal Dreamforge and other Skills to quite literally manipulate matter through infecting it with nightmare power.

This caused the entire island to reattach itself where it was, while Maria left several invisible barriers to protect it from further destruction, and made sure the pillars attaching the island to the surface of the planet would remain strong, composed of her own cosmic bones.

"The leak of Nether and Miasma might cause some problems but… nothing they wouldn't be able to handle."

She tried purifying as much as she could, but the Cosmic Bones that made the pillars of the island wouldn't stay strong if they were purified, so she had to leave them like that.

Undead Monsters might pop up eventually, and perhaps a Dungeon here and there, but… it was definitely better than leaving the place without an island, right?

"Phew…"

As she finally reached the island's surface, she regrouped with everyone else, who greeted her with smiles and tears, happy that she was able to achieve such an incredible feat.

"Hello everyone… It's done. That has been the hardest fight I've ever fought before- Ugh?!"
