"Well, I guess that was that it wasn't as hard as I imagined," Emily said. "Right?"

"Yeah, it was kind of easy, no? I think we have grown really strong…" Sofia nodded.

"Not as strong as everyone else though, they're the real powerhouses here!" Alma said. "But I'm glad I could help! My water turned out to be the best against these Nightmare Demons, hehe."

"And… Uh, well, Egolatra did what she could, she's pretty useful when she acts nicely," Martina nodded. "And I also got my own magic too, which seemed to have gotten stronger."

While riding over the large the back of a giant Nightmare Kaiju Undead, shaped like a giant turtle with enough space on his back for everyone to sit comfortably after I created a little bone terrace there, I heard the girls talking while sightseeing the surrounding.

The landscape was… I think this is the first time I visit such a place, full of magma, fire, and ashes. I don't think I've ever visited such a place even on Yggdrasil. It's nice to know that there's places like this even in this world, which seemed to be "normal" at the beginning.

"Yeah, yeah, you girls are alright," Partner said, walking to their side. "Back then I thought you girls were dragging us down, but you've grown pretty strong, not going to lie."

"Thanks?" Sofia raised an eyebrow.

"I guess she's trying to be nice… That's a start," Emily crossed her arms.

"Thank you Partner!" Alma smiled. "As always, you're awesome too."

"Heh, I know, no need to praise me for that," Partner said. "Maria upgraded my weapons and made them even stronger too… Her power is awesome."

"Right? She's the best!" Alma nodded cutely.

"Yeah, yeah!" Partner nodded while crossing her eyes. "You truly get it, Alma! I like you. I think we can get along just fine."

"Well thanks! I think you're very cool too… I always hoped we could be friends," Alma said. "Despite you being known as a bully… I always thought you were just misunderstood like I was. You just have a hard time showing your true feelings, right?"

"E-Eh? Bully?" Partner sighed. "Ah right… Uh, I guess… Maybe, well it doesn't matter…!"

"Heheh, see? you're doing it again…" Alma giggled, as her friends noticed that as well.

"Yeah you always have a hard time acting more emotional, huh? You remind me of Sof," Emily said. "Well, back then, now she has changed after the Nightmare Realm event."

"Event? You talk like it was some kind of video game mission or something…" Sofia groaned. "But yeah… I hope we can get along, Partner. We'll be fighting together after all; we might as well try to be friendlier and all."

"Sure…!" Partner nodded. "I usually respect the strong only, and you girls are strong, so I'll respect you."

Partner is still technically a "monster" born from my own bones as an undead being, so she still got this quirky personality of hers, originating from her monstrous instincts to only respect (and fear) the strong.

As they heard them chatting, I saw Emeraldine and Nia walking towards the girls, they were also chatting with each other, it seemed Emeraldine was the one that Nia preferred the most when talking, aside from me.

"Hello girls, how are you doing? The temperature here can get really hot, are you hanging on just fine?" Emeraldine wondered, her motherly nature obviously made her worry about them.

"Ah yeah, it's hot as fuck here, but I'm fine," Emily nodded. "Havin Alma around helps, her aura of ice is really nice and cooling."

"I'm glad it can be of help!" Alma said.

She had channeled her Dream Aura, using the Water Element and then the Cold Element within it, allowing her to create a "frosty aura" that helped everyone feel fresh and cool around her.

"I was a bit tired, but I think I'm fine," Sofia said. "I wonder how long this trip will take? Are we going to go fight all the demons right away or wait until tomorrow?"

"I think it might be right away waiting until tomorrow wouldn't be good," Emeraldine said. "Well, if you feel exhausted, let me take care of that. We need everyone at top condition after all."

Emeraldine touched Sofia's shoulders, massaging them slowly, and making her feel much better, Sofia's eyes opened wide.

"Oohh… E-Emeraldine, your massage is amazing?!"

It didn't just feel nice; this was part of Emeraldine's many special skills, her Soothing Skills and Healing Spells were the best at relaxing the body and mind.

"There, an hug to finish it off."

And her strongest Skill [Hug of Adoration] was the best, whoever she hugged after helping them would regain most of their stamina, energy, and heal any wound quickly. Even Mana would start to recover fast for a while.

"E-Eh? An hug? Eh?!"

Sofia blushed as Emeraldine gave her a comforting hug, making her feel all happy for a moment, before Emeraldine let go of her.

"Feeling better now, Sof?" Emeraldine asked.

"Y-Yes… Thanks… I don't know what you did, is this part of your magic?" Sofia wondered.

"Yeah, whoever I hug feels nice afterwards," Emeraldine smiled. "Now, who wants an hug?"

"Me!"

Emily quickly jumped to the opportunity, spreading her arms to hug the cute Emeraldine… I didn't feel jealous but I noticed she went for it right away, huh?

"Of course."

Emeraldine smiled motherly, hugging her and letting Emily's head rest over her chest, Emily felt in heaven, probably.

"Hmm~ This is so nice, like being hugged by my mom."

"Fufu, I'm not your mom though~"

Emeraldine giggled, finding it funny.

Emily didn't want to let go of her, hugging her back tightly.

"Now, now, Emy, I think this is enough…"

"Let me hug you more…"

"I said that's enough…"

Emeraldine's face and attitude changed, becoming serious out of nowhere.

"Eek!"

And Emy quickly stepped back, realizing the nice and motherly Emeraldine didn't let others take advantage of her kindness, despite what most might think.

"Aw, I wish I had an ability that worked like that…" Alma sighed. "I also want to hug and make Maria feel good."

As I heard her murmuring that, I walked to her side, hugging her from behind.

"But you have it~ Whenever I hug my cute girlfriend I feel rejuvenated instantly," I said, whispering to her ears.

"Uwah?!" She panicked lightly, accidentally hitting my chin with her elbow.

"Ouch…" I groaned.

"A-Ahh! S-Sorry Maria…! I ruined the moment…" Alma sighed, apologizing.

"It's alright, it's alright…" I giggled, as I saw our army moving through the volcanic lands, there was a huge fortress surrounded by small volcanic houses in the distance. "Well, what I was saying is that your hugs are already very comforting."

"Y-You think so?" She muttered. "I'm sorry, did I hit you too hard? Ah, it's red?!"

"Calm down, I've been hit harder before," I said, patting her head and kissing her forehead, and then her nose, and then, after a pause, her lips. "There. I feel much better now."

"A-Ahh… W-We're in front of everyone… that's embarrassing…" She blushed, getting all red.
