Laura rolled her eyes but couldn't help smirking at his calculating tone. "Always one to keep an eye on the spoils, aren't you?"

---

A tremor reverberated through the mansion as if an unseen force pressed against its protective barrier. Faint whispers of dark magic crackled outside, the unnatural energy crawling against the shield. The guard's face went pale as he realized what was happening. "Demons…" he whispered, horrified.

Eight Yugoloth demons had converged upon the mansion, drawn by its unyielding barrier amid the Abyssal invasion. The powerful enchantments meant to keep them out now marked the mansion as a tempting target, and they threw themselves at the barrier with a ferocity born of dark hunger. The air crackled as the demons pressed in, clawing and tearing, their blackened talons scratching against the invisible wall that separated them from the prince and his entourage.

The quiet was abruptly shattered as one of his guards burst into the room, panting and wide-eyed. "My prince!" he gasped. "Outside… demons have appeared! There's a strange dark energy pressing against the barrier—it's like nothing we've seen!"

Instantly, the prince and Luo were on their feet, alarm flashing in their eyes. Without a word, they hurried outside, flanked by his guards. They emerged into the open courtyard, where they were met with a sight of pure horror. A pack of Yugoloth demons—grotesque, hulking creatures—hovered at the edges of the barrier, their blackened claws scratching against the invisible shield, creating sparks of dark magic.

As they watched, the demons' onslaught intensified, the air thickening with dark, chaotic energy. The mansion's protective enchantments flared and wavered, struggling against the relentless demonic assault. The prince's jaw tightened as he assessed the situation, realizing the defenses might not hold much longer.

"Your Highness, it's not good for us to be here!" Leo watched hundreds of soldiers advancing steadily while shouting the games of God.

What he originally thought was to lure the black dragon out and let Ravel use the forbidden spell to sneak attack and kill it.

But in order to show his strength in front of that woman, this guy decided to fight the demons face-to-face with great fanfare.

"We are the regular army of the Kingdom of Del. What is a sneak attack?" Ravel looked at Laura behind him and said seriously.

As if that would fully bring out his manliness.

Laura didn't expect this guy to be so unreliable, but she still smiled and said, "Your Highness is right, we just let people on the mainland see the strength of the Kingdom of Del!"

And as they expected, realizing the mansion's defenses would soon give way, the prince turned to his guards. "Prepare yourselves," he ordered, his voice cold and commanding.

"Humans, you have to pay the price!"

From her point of view, the overall situation had been settled, and the endless Abyss and Demon power pressed towards Leo and the others.

This was blood pressure.

The two warriors around Leo stayed by Ravel's side even though they wanted to escape; it was their duty.

And Ravel was almost scared to pee.

"Your Highness, quickly use the forbidden spell!" Laura hurriedly remembered.

"Yes, forbidden curse!"

Ravel hurriedly took out a khaki scroll.

He began to activate it with the magic power in his body, and with the injection of magic power, the surrounding fire elements were mobilized.

But the demons felt something was wrong.

They broke through the seal and began to breathe toward several soldiers.

This was Ravel's expensive enchanted weapon at work.

"This is forbidden magic!"

With a flourish, he drew a forbidden scroll from within his coat. "I did not come here to lose," he said with a smirk. He unfurled the scroll, and flames erupted as he summoned a towering fire elemental, its form a raging inferno of power.

"Hurry up, Your Highness, the demons are coming towards us!" a soldier said hastily.

Under the eyes of several people, Ravel released the remaining scroll of forbidden magic.

"Advanced Fire Element Summon!"

As Ravel's scroll was released, several people felt endless light and heat.

As soon as the demon in the distance rushed in front of them, they were immediately sent flying by a big fireball and hit the stone wall fiercely.

Then a huge humanoid creature whose whole body was made of flames appeared in the air, and it was just the fireball it spewed out.

"Good job, kill them for me!" Ravel excitedly said.

The Demons shook their heads, and they roared at the fire element.

Demons are used to fire, and they don't like this kind of fire attribute attack.

With a flick of his wrist, the prince arrogantly addressed the demons not far away from him. "Serve me," he called to them. "Sign a contract of loyalty, and you may yet survive the fires."

But his demand was met only with a chorus of growls as the demons' wrath grew more frenzied. The barrier shattered in an explosion of dark energy, and the Yugoloth demons lunged forward. The fire elemental roared, charging into battle against them, flames blazing and igniting the night as it clashed with the demons.

"It's useless, the fire element is almost immune to all physical attacks!" Laura shook her head.

"Your Highness, as far as I know, the Fire Elemental seems to exist for a limited time after being summoned, and this Fire Elemental seems to be more powerful than the high order!"

"The magic power on the scroll is enough to support the existence of this fire element for at least a quarter of an hour, enough for it to kill the demons, and this is not an ordinary fire element, but a fire element lord!" Ravel looked at Laura and explained.

The demons have fallen below from the very beginning. The most powerful body of the demons is useless to the enemy, and their abyssal language magic can't do much damage.

Besides, there were Leo and two other eighth-level fighters staring at them next to him.

If this battle continues, the demons are very likely to lose.

Several people in Leo also saw the fatigue of the demons. At first, the prince and Luo watched with confident anticipation, believing the elemental would crush their enemies. Yet as the battle continued, they saw the demons' resistance to fire emerge as a brutal advantage.

"Be careful not to let them escape!"

"Demons, I will give you a chance, surrender to me, and sign a contract with me, you will have a brighter future!" Ravel said proudly.

It would be even better if these demons could be subdued.

The Demons glanced at Ravel like a fool and then continued to deal with the fire element lord in front of them. This guy's magic restrained them greatly.

They tried to bypass the fire element several times to kill Ravel and they were all stopped. Two eighth-level fighters and Leo, an eighth-level light magician, made the black demons unable to approach.

It felt a little awkward that no one paid attention to Ravel.

In the demons' eyes, human beings are just ants on the ground, how could it be possible to regard human beings as the main ones.

Even an adult metallic dragon will not recognize the master casually.

Seeing more and more wounds on their bodies, they finally made a decision.

They started to fly towards the center of Voltan city where the demons are abundant, and the fire element will be restricted a lot.

The fire element followed suit.

The elemental was relentless but struggled to inflict lasting harm. It managed to kill only two of the demons up until now.

"Don't let her run away, chase them!" Ravel said hastily upon seeing this.

Hearing this, the fire elemental lord used more of his energy to follow after the demons with much faster speed.

Several fireballs exploded towards the demons.

Many demons' flying skills were not that mature yet, although they dodged a few, one still hit them.

What?

Their eyes lit up when they saw their scales, there were only some burnt black marks on them.

This damage is not as high as before! The fire elemental lord had gotten weaker.

It broke the defense, but they can still withstand it!

This injury can be recovered by itself with the physique of a Yugoloth demon.

They looked at the fire elemental, this thing has shrunk too much, and its strength seems to have dropped a lot!

So with that, they all stopped running.

The fire element threw out two chains of flames and collided with demons again.

Boom~

The demons were directly pulled to the ground and a big hole was made.

"Haha, you can't escape, obediently be my slaves!" Ravel said ecstatically.

"Who gave you the illusion that you have caught us!" Yugoloths got up from the ground.

His yellow vertical pupils stared at Ravel and Laura.

Only then did Ravel remember that there seemed to be no other guards beside Laura.

"Hurry up and seriously injure it!" Ravel felt that the existence time of the fire element lord seemed to be running out.

The fire elemental lord continued to attack demons.

They returned with handfuls of magical claws, but the damage it caused was very limited.

They knew that the physical damage this thing could do to them was very limited.

Instead, one of them turned his gaze to Ravel and Laura, who were on the side.

Seemingly seeing what the demons were thinking, the two hurriedly hid behind the fire element.

"Ravel, you and the fire element should deal with these demons together, they are not easy!" Laura said suddenly at this moment.

"I'm a prince, how can I do this kind of fighting and killing!" Ravel shook his head quickly.

Laura secretly scolded Ravel for being useless. If it wasn't for the king who only had such a son, the rest would be daughters, so he wouldn't be made the heir.

The demon turned his head and began to concentrate on facing the fire element in front of him. Taking the opportunity, it directly attacked the fire elemental army.

The fire element roared, and the flames on its body quickly surged to the broken arm position and recovered its own arm.

But its size had shrunk a bit.

Seeing this, the demons went straight up to tear it apart, and the fire element rushed into the air to avoid it, but the demons also flew after it.

Roar~

Amid the roaring sound, the demons took more and more damage, but the fire elemental was down bit by bit, and the size of the fire element became smaller and smaller.

"Ravel, we can't go on like this. If the fire element loses, we won't be able to escape at all!" Laura felt a little helpless watching the fire element gain the upper hand from the beginning to the current weakness.

It wouldn't be like this if it wasn't for this idiot who directed the fire element blindly at the beginning.

"Don't worry, Laura, I have a high-tier space teleportation magic scroll, which my father gave me to save my life!" Ravel continued to watch the battle between the demons and the fire element in the distance.

"Teleportation magic scroll!" Laura exclaimed for a while.

Originally, space magic is rare compared to other types of magic, let alone made into scrolls.

These things don't come by even for a duke family like theirs.

"Can you show me?" Laura said softly.

"Of course!" Ravel noticed the admiration and envy in Laura's eyes.

At this time, the fire element had shrunk to the limit.

The last four demons alive saw that the fire element, which was almost one-third of its size, went up and grabbed this guy.

Then pulled it directly in different directions.

Countless flames sprang up from the Fire Elemental's body trying to burn demons who were already burned badly!

But in the end, it was gone bit by bit. It was overwhelmed, its flames flickering out and its form dissipating in a wisp of smoke.

After they finished, the four remaining Yugoloths looked at their own badly burned bodies, then the two people present who were responsible for all this.

Ravel was stunned.

"Laura, let's quickly..."

When he turned his head, he suddenly found that Laura was already more than ten meters behind him.

And she had activated the space teleportation scroll.

"Laura, what are you going to do? Let's go together!" Ravel rushed over frantically.

But Laura's eyes were full of indifference: "Ravel, the quality of this space teleportation scroll is not high, especially with the barrier blocking it, it can only teleport one person. If there are too many, it may lead to unexpected situations!"

"I'm sorry, Ravel, I know you love me. Didn't you say you can do anything for me?"

"Damn it, you bitch, stop it!" Ravel's eyes were red.

After the demons finished, they rushed towards Laura immediately, their speed was much faster than Ravel's.

But it was still a step too late. With ripples in the space, Laura's figure became more and more blurred.

But one of the demons reached in front of Laura at the last moment, and he swung his claws violently.

"Aaaa…"

With a burst of screams, Laura's body disappeared, leaving a white and tender arm in place.

The demon let out two puffs of white gas from his nose, but still let the woman escape.

And Ravel on the side was already stunned.

He stood there blankly, all hope was lost.

He didn't react until the demons' shadows enveloped him.

"Mr. Demons, I was wrong, please give me a chance, a chance for revenge!" Ravel showed a crazy look in his eyes.

"Oh? What can I get if I give you a chance to live?" the demon who bit Laura asked while looking at the opponent's posture.

It seems that the licking dog has really awakened, but it seems a bit late!

"I am the only prince and sole heir of the Kingdom of Del. I can find a way to kill the king, and when I become king, I can use all the resources of the entire kingdom to offer you as many souls as you want!" Ravel calmed down slowly.

A cold light flashed in the demon's eyes!

"You're very good!" He raised his hand.

There was a gleam of joy in Ravel's eyes.

But then the Demon's words made him fall into despair.

"But why should I trust a person who wants to kill his own father? If you're not a demon or a devil..." he said coldly.

"No, why? Aren't you demons? Isn't this your demon's favorite?" Ravel shouted in despair.

The prince's smug smile vanished as he realized the enormity of the threat. Panic set in.

He rushed forward and started running towards the house while the demons followed after him, eager to enjoy this.

While the prince ran through the hidden passage to an underground bunker, he slammed the heavy door shut behind him. But it was only a matter of time before the demons breached it as well.

As the demons broke into the bunker, the prince barely had a chance to fight back before they were upon him. With ruthless efficiency, they tore through his defenses, ignoring his desperate pleas and last-ditch efforts.

The mansion above, once a sanctuary, crumbled under the demonic assault as they saw this house as a tool for the expansion of the abyssal breath, collapsing into ruin and burying the prince's body beneath stone and debris.

The demons emerged from the wreckage, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake as the once-imposing mansion lay in ruins, and the body of the prince was buried deep within these ruins, another casualty in the Abyssal tide now sweeping through Voltan City.
