Chapter 359: 359 on the way
Shang Zhenkun laughed, this Xiao Jiang is really indescribable. His mind works so fast.
Actually, there really isn't anything valuable here. If a thief wanted to steal a fan, there's really nothing that could be done. Such a big target, even a fool wouldn't do that.
Locking the door, Shi Jing held Shang Zhenkun's hand, Jiang Xinyu held Jiang Feifei's.
"Master Shang, if we get separated, just come back here at the appointed time. Here is the key."
When the four of them got off, they were dumbfounded. There were only a few scattered people, nothing else.
With no other choice, the four of them wandered below. Quite a few men had come down as well to smoke.
"Mom, why is it so desolate?"
"There are few passengers."
It was still hot outside. After staying for ten minutes, the four of them got back on the train.
Afterward, the three resumed studying, and Jiang Xinyu joined them.
At six o'clock in the evening, the four went to the dinning car together and had lamb soup noodles.
At eight o'clock, they reached a major station. By then, it was cool outside, so the four disembarked again. They stopped there for forty minutes.
This time there were many people getting off, and there were small stalls set up outside, making it much livelier.
The two children still found everything remarkably new.
After boarding, Jiang Xinyu prepared bathwater for them, letting them bathe before bed. She waited until after two in the morning to wash up in the restroom, feeling disgusted, but there was no other option given the conditions.
They stayed on the train for ten days this way. Fortunately, neither of the kids showed any adverse reactions.
After lunch, Shang Zhenkun took the kids for a walk to aid digestion. Normally it was half an hour, but because more people were around, it was reduced to thirty minutes.
But after forty minutes, they still hadn't returned, and Jiang Xinyu grew anxious. She locked the door and went to find them.
She searched one carriage after another.
When she reached the fifth carriage, there were a lot of people gathered.
Jiang Xinyu's heart skipped a beat as she squeezed in to see Shang Zhenkun holding Feifei, stepping on someone, and Shi Jing standing aside.
Jiang Xinyu felt her heart stop. "Feifei?"
"Mom." The little girl pursed her lips, on the verge of tears. She was really scared.
Jiang Feifei was particularly beautiful, especially cute, and they were all just wandering in the carriage.
She wanted to go to the bathroom, so the two of them continued to wander outside waiting for her, but five minutes passed and Feifei still hadn't come out. Shang Zhenkun called at the door but got no response.
He pushed the door, but inside there was no Feifei. Shang Zhenkun broke into a cold sweat in fear.
"Shi Jing, your sister's missing, and the train hasn't stopped yet. We need to find her quickly." Saying this, he pulled Shi Jing and ran forward.
Shi Jing was also terrified. That was his sister. How could she be missing?
Their speed was extremely quick. There was only a quarter of an hour until the next stop, and they had to find Feifei before then.
"Shi Jing, you're too slow."
"Master, you go ahead. I'll follow right behind you."
"No way, what if I lose you too?" Shang Zhenkun was trying to ease Shi Jing's tension.
They were extremely fast. Actually, the whole event took only a few minutes. Jiang Feifei was still struggling. She was allergic to the sedatives and didn't pass out.
"Help! Someone help me; I don't know him, he's a bad guy."
Some people on the train stood up.
"Girl, stop making a fuss. Dad will buy you rice candy. Stop it."
Jiang Feifei knew this wasn't working. "I was in the sleeper car. He tied me up after I came out of the bathroom. Please help me, I really don't know him."
Then a young man blocked the man: "You two don't even remotely resemble each other. You're clearly not related. Let go of the child."
"Get lost, none of your business."
Seizing the opportunity, Jiang Feifei bit down hard on the man's neck, restraining her weak limbs, using all her strength in that bite.
The man screamed and slapped Jiang Feifei's back hard.
The man who intervened took advantage of the moment and kicked the man's knee.
At this point, Shang Zhenkun and his two were also there.
The young man took the chance to grab Jiang Feifei's clothes.
Caught off guard, the man fell backward, releasing Jiang Feifei from his arms.
Shang Zhenkun stomped on the man's chest.
Jiang Feifei saw Shang Zhenkun, and her tears fell immediately. "Master Shang."
Shang Zhenkun took her and gently patted her back, "It's okay now, it's okay, don't cry."
"Sister, sister." Jiang Shijing cried, calling out to Jiang Feifei, but the man on the ground blocked his way, so he kicked the man's shoulder.
"Comrade, thank you very much for rescuing our child. Could you call the train police? This kind of person should be shot."
"Okay, I'll go right away."
When Jiang Xinyu arrived, she saw this scene.
She took her daughter, tears streaming down. "Feifei, Feifei."
"Mom, I'm okay, I'm okay."
With Jiang Xinyu left by herself, she stepped down harder. The person lying there had struggled at first, but now they were completely motionless, begging for mercy. Jiang Xinyu pressed down even harder.
The person below could only moan, feeling their chest bone getting crushed.
Now everyone in the carriage knew this man was a human trafficker, and the crowd buzzed in condemnation.
A few minutes later, the young man returned with two train policemen.
The four along with the young man went to give their statements.
Jiang Xinyu couldn't stop crying while holding Jiang Feifei. It was a terrified relief; if anything had really happened, she wouldn't be able to go on living.
During the interrogation, it was found that he had accomplices, but they had likely escaped when they stopped earlier.
Yet, they still sent people to search, but they couldn't find them.
The train authorities decided to hand over the criminal directly to the local police. It would be dealt with there.
After they returned, Jiang Feifei lay limply on the bed. Jiang Xinyu knew her daughter had been drugged and was worried about any long-term effects, but she really didn't know what to do.
Shang Zhenkun went to the broadcast room to request a doctor on board to check on the child.
Finally, two doctors came, an elderly Chinese medicine doctor and a Western medicine doctor.
The old doctor felt Feifei's pulse. "Just let her drink lots of water and urinate frequently, that will eliminate the effects of the drug."
The Western doctor agreed, so Feifei kept drinking water and going to the bathroom. By evening, she felt much better.
In the evening, she wasn't in the mood to eat at all. Jiang Xinyu specially paid the chef in the dining car to make rice porridge for Feifei.
