Chapter 158: Chapter 158: The Stealthy Actions of the Group
"Kamino Ward?"
"Yes, the situation is quite troublesome..."
On the train heading to Kamino Ward, the group gathered to find Midoriya. Shinso began explaining everything he had been doing during this time.
It had already been a week since Midoriya Izuku was labeled as an "enemy." The teachers at U.A. High had informed the students, but the news outlets, with the help of heroes and police, had been working hard to suppress the information and prevent it from spreading.
The main effort came from All Might and Officer Tsukauchi, who didn't want the fact that Midoriya had become an "enemy" to become public knowledge across Japan. They hoped there might still be a way to salvage the sad situation.
Shinso knew about this. He had even worked alongside Midoriya that night. However, the "Shie Hassaikai" group had no evidence to accuse him. Plus, people who had been "brainwashed" by his Quirk lost their memories of the event, so Shinso wasn't implicated.
After Midoriya was labeled an "enemy," Shinso felt deeply frustrated. He had sacrificed himself to help others, and now Midoriya's farewell left him unsure of what had truly happened.
So, Shinso started investigating Midoriya's whereabouts. He wanted to see Midoriya again, and... "that thing" had to be handed over to Midoriya.
During this time, Shinso completely disregarded the "Quirk Usage Law." He had been using his Quirk to "brainwash" and control people with connections to the dark side of society to gather information. Since the controlled people didn't remember anything from the period of control, no one had noticed Shinso's actions or suspected him.
"Not being caught doesn't count as a crime."
This saying can be used for the "villains" doing bad things, and it can just as easily apply to "heroes" who are gathering information.
In this wide-ranging search, Shinso finally managed to gather some information on Midoriya Izuku.
"Midoriya seems to have joined the *League of Villains*."
"What!?"
Shinso Hitoshi's words left everyone shocked and speechless. Midoriya Izuku joining the *League of Villains*? No one would believe it if you told them.
"Although I'm not sure about the exact reason, from what I heard from the enemy, Midoriya is now with the *League of Villains*."
"So where are we going now?"
Todoroki Shoto noticed they were heading toward the Kamino District. Shinso Hitoshi nodded and answered:
"We're going to the *League of Villains*'s hideout, the place where Midoriya was kidnapped last time."
"But didn't the heroes and police already shut down all of the *League of Villains*' hideouts? Are they still in Kamino?"
Takeyama Urei asked, and Shinso shook his head, indicating that he didn't know.
"I got this information from someone called a 'broker.' He seems to have some sort of deal with the *League of Villains,* and that's how I learned their current location in Kamino."
"Like a 'third hole for a rabbit,' the *League of Villains* probably has more than one hideout in Kamino, so it's not surprising they still have a base there."
Bakugo clenched his fist. If they ran into those guys this time, he was going to make sure the *League of Villains* paid for it.
"But why didn't you tell All Might about this, Shinso? He could take care of all those bad guys, right?"
"Uh... if I told All Might, there'd be no need for us to do anything..."
Shinso awkwardly answered Ochako's question, and Hatsume Mei knocked on Uraraka's head.
"Midoriya-chan is considered the 'enemy' now. Us sneaking around to find him is already illegal. Do you want Midoriya-chan to go to jail?"
"Sorry..."
...
When the train finally arrived at the station, the group reached Kamino District. Before they went to find Midoriya Izuku, Shinso stopped them.
"Let's disguise ourselves first. We were on TV during the U.A. Sports Festival, so walking around the streets will make us too noticeable."
Everyone agreed with Shinso's suggestion. This wasn't a casual outing or adventure, and if the *League of Villains* noticed them, it would be really dangerous.
"Don Quixote," a popular store in Japan known for its funny costumes. Once everyone entered, they came out 20 minutes later and gathered again, looking completely unrecognizable.
"Uraraka, what's with that outfit... pfft~"
"Hey, you're one to talk! Why are you laughing at me?"
Uraraka Ochako and Takeyama Urei were dressed similarly. Ochako had a sports cap on her head and was wearing a sporty outfit, looking full of energy and youth. Though, her face was a bit round... so the cap didn't quite fit right.
Takeyama Urei, on the other hand, wore a summer sun hat and a light blue dress, transforming from a battle-ready heroine into an elegant, soft-spoken lady.
"So~ how do I look? Does this suit me?"
"Not bad. You've never shown up at the sports festival before, so you didn't really need to dress up that much."
Hatsume Mei, wearing a jumpsuit, didn't look much different from her usual style. Shinso Hitoshi, who was giving his expert opinion, had a pair of sunglasses on and covered his messy hair with an afro wig, giving off a street punk vibe.
"Looks like you're all ready. Where's Bakugo?"
Todoroki Shoto, who had only changed his clothes and put on a black wig, went from looking like Prince Charming A to Prince Charming B. It just goes to show that being "handsome" is the most important thing.
"Tch, I'm ready too!"
"......."
When Bakugo Katsuki finally showed up, everyone was stunned for a moment. Then:
"Pfft—Bakugo, are you out of your mind? Haha... I can't, I'm dying of laughter!"
"Ahem... Bakugo, are you feeling okay~~ (pfft)"
Takeyama Urei was doubled over laughing, while Ochako tried to stifle her giggles. Bakugo's look was just too much for them to handle.
"Hmm... you look completely different. I guarantee even Midoriya would be shocked if he saw you."
"So this is what a disguise looks like... unbelievable."
Shinso Hitoshi gave his fair and honest critique, while Todoroki Shoto stared at Bakugo, rubbing his chin, clearly inspired.
"Shut the hell up! My disguise is way better than any of yours!"
Bakugo Katsuki, his eyes practically spitting fire, didn't look all that unusual. His spiky hair was just slicked back into a neat part... the same style "Best Jeanist" had forced on him.
When they were discussing disguises earlier, Bakugo had no idea why he suddenly decided to grab some hair gel and slick his hair back... and now, well, even his own mom probably wouldn't recognize him at first glance. A total disguise success.
After everyone finished critiquing each other's disguises, Shinso Hitoshi quickly cut in to stop the chaos.
"Alright, enough wasting time—let's move out!"
