Prince of Gluttony: Born from Betrayal

Chapter 46: Abel's Shitty Day

Abel was indeed in the common lounge attempting to flirt with some girls. After all, he was handsome and strong. Top 10 in his grade for combat skills and a hero who had saved a beautiful woman from a dungeon while risking his life.

Of course most of that was just a self serving lie. But he was so narcissistic and delusional that he truly believed all of it. Yet the truth was when compared to Cain, he lacked in both status and appearance and when it came to Combat ability, he couldn't hold a candle to the likes of Jayden. Even still, he believed that the only one worth serving him was her.

He had nearly broken his phone when he got that selfie sent to him by Cain. How dare he sleep with what was his. How dare a lowly cretin like him have a taste of her before him. How could such a piece of trash try and fuck her. He must have used his status as a prince to coerce her.

That was the only assumption he could come to believe in. Why? Because it was undoubtedly what Abel would have done if he had Cain's status.

At the moment, he was leaning against the back of a couch with an easy, practiced smirk as he made two first-years giggle nervously. His gaze drifted lazily around the lounge until it landed on Jayden approaching with Anna at her side. He straightened instantly, the way a cat perks up when it sees something worth stalking.

"Well, well," he said, letting his voice drop into what he probably thought was a sultry tone. "If it isn't the most dangerous beauty in the academy. To what do I owe the honor?"

Jayden, already regretting her part in this plan, held the plate between her hands gingerly. The idea of giving something to anyone other than Cain was a little nauseating to her.

Abel's eyes flicked down to it, then back up to her face. His grin widened.

"Is that for me?" he asked, pushing off the couch and sauntering toward her. He moved with the swagger of someone convinced the world revolved around him, a predator who assumed the prey was already too charmed to run. "You didn't have to, sweetheart. But I do appreciate a woman who knows how to take care of a man."

"It's… a gift," Jayden said, her tone deliberately neutral as she averted her gaze. She was sure she would throw up if she looked him in the face now.

Anna stood a few dozen feet away behind her, barely containing her amusement as she watched. Abel looked truly pleased with himself that Jayden was finally 'opening up' to him.

Abel accepted the plate like it was a prize, his eyes lingering on Jayden just a little too long. "Oh, I'll enjoy it," he said, voice dripping with innuendo. "Anything from your hands, Jayden, I'll savor. Unlike a certain someone, I know how to treat a woman right~!"

Cain, who had quietly entered the lounge was leaning against the far wall pretending to browse on his phone, rolled his eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn't get stuck that way. He said nothing yet, watching the trap being set as Abel sat with the 'food' in front of him.

Abel took a forkful without hesitation, making a show of it as though he were about to indulge in the finest meal of his life. His lips curled upward, and for a second he even closed his eyes as if savoring it. The effect was ruined the instant the taste hit his tongue.

He chewed slowly, trying to mask his grimace. The texture was off in a way he could not describe. The flavor was worse. His pride, however, refused to allow him to spit it out. He swallowed and chased it with a quick sip of water.

"Mmm," he said, dragging out the sound just long enough to make it clear to anyone paying attention that he was forcing it. "Interesting. Very… unique."

Anna's smirk widened from across the room. She folded her arms and leaned slightly to whisper something to Cain, who no longer could take his eyes off Abel.

Jayden kept her expression unreadable, though her lips twitched like she was holding back a comment. "So, do you like it?"

Abel set the fork down with exaggerated care and looked her straight in the eyes. "I appreciate the effort. Not many would go out of their way to do something like this for me. It speaks volumes."

He then leaned in and tilted his head while giving Jayden what he believed to be a charming smile.

"You know," he said, his tone low, "if you ever wanted to spend some time with someone who truly values you, you could always come to me. No titles. No games. Just you and me."

That's when it happened.

A loud, wet fart ripped through the air, shattering the false charm he had been trying to maintain. Conversation in the lounge froze. The two first-years who had been sitting near him blinked in shock, their smiles gone.

Abel's confident smirk collapsed into a twitching, horrified grimace. His cheeks flushed crimson as he tried to recover. "Ah… excuse me, ladies. Must have been the chair," he said, forcing a laugh that sounded more like a choke.

But before he could even finish the excuse, another fart exploded from him, louder and wetter than the first. This one left no room for interpretation. The sound was followed instantly by a horrific, unmistakable smell that hit the air like a physical force.

Abel's eyes went wide. His breath caught in his throat. And then came the true disaster. A loud, squelching noise was accompanied by the sudden realization on his face that he had lost all control. The smell intensified, heavy and rancid, filling the lounge in seconds.

Screams erupted from the girls nearby. One of the first-years clapped her hands over her mouth and bolted for the door, dragging her friend with her. Others gagged, fanning the air as they stumbled out.

Jayden took three sharp steps back, covering her nose with her sleeve, her expression a mixture of disgust and reluctant fascination.

Cain, on the other hand, broke instantly. He doubled over, clutching his stomach as he burst into full, unrestrained laughter. His cackling echoed through the lounge, almost as loud as the chaos Abel was causing.

Abel was frozen in place, sweat beading on his forehead, his face twisted in agony and humiliation. "I… I am so sorry, I… it must have been…" He stopped mid-sentence, his voice catching as another sickening squelch sounded beneath him. The smell somehow worsened.

Anna could barely speak. "What the hell!" she muttered under her breath.

Cain had tears in his eyes as he held a thumb up to Anna.

"Good job! You could market this as a cure for constipation~!"

The lounge was nearly empty now except for the three of them and Abel, who sat rigidly with his plate forgotten, trapped in his own disaster. The stench hung in the air like a warning to anyone who dared taste Jayden and Anna's cooking.
