Primordial Sin System

Chapter 589-Illusion Queen

As Dave stood victorious, the remnants of the shattered golem still smoking in the clearing, something strange began to stir in the air.

A sudden, unsettling feeling washed over him as if the world itself was watching him, waiting for the next move.

He turned sharply, sensing something behind him, and there it was: the same large, bloodshot eyeball from before. It floated in mid-air, glowing with a strange and almost hypnotic light.

Before Dave could react, the eyeball blinked, and the world around him started to twist and warp.

The ground cracked open beneath him, and in an instant, he was plunged into a swirling vortex of colors.

He felt a brief moment of disorientation, the world around him stretching and compressing as if he were being folded into another dimension.

When the spinning finally stopped, Dave landed softly on his feet, his golden aura flaring up to stabilize him.

"Whoa~"

Looking around, Dave saw something strange. He was no longer in the forest where he had just fought the golem.

Instead, he found himself standing in a lush, green forest where everything around him was… huge.

The trees towered over him, their trunks so thick it would take several people to wrap their arms around them.

The grass was tall enough to brush his shoulders, and the flowers bloomed like giant, colorful lanterns.

Even the air smelled sweeter here, and there was a strange, almost intoxicating fragrance that hung in the air.

"Well, this is new," Dave muttered, looking around curiously.

"This place is massive. Did I shrink, or is everything here just way too big?"

Before he could investigate further, a figure emerged from behind one of the towering trees. I

t was a man, tall and well-built, with sharp features and an air of confidence.

His dark hair swept back in perfect waves, and his deep, dark eyes shone with an almost otherworldly glimmer.

He wore a regal outfit, adorned with gold embroidery and intricate patterns.

Dave couldn't help but notice how perfectly handsome he was—practically a living statue.

'Even so, I am still more handsome.'

"Who dares enter my domain?" the man asked, his voice smooth and commanding.

Dave raised an eyebrow, grinning.

"Well, hello there. I wasn't expecting to meet such a handsome guy in the middle of this… giant forest. But hey, if this is your domain, you must be a pretty big deal, huh?"

The man's eyes narrowed slightly as if confused by Dave's response. "I am the King of this domain. Do you not know who I am?"

Dave tilted his head. "You're the King? You don't look like a king, you know. I mean, I'm not complaining, but I was expecting something a little more... royal."

The figure's lips curled into a smirk, but there was something strange about his expression.

"You are bold, I'll give you that," he said. "But don't mistake my appearance for weakness. I will not be easily fooled."

"Not fooled?" Dave laughed. "Please. I'm not easily fooled either. Besides, I've got a great sense of smell, and I can tell you're definitely not a man."

He leaned in closer, taking in a deep breath with exaggerated flair. "Hmm... there it is. Definitely a woman. You've got that sweet scent about you."

The figure froze for a moment, clearly caught off guard. "You… you can smell that?" she asked, her voice suddenly tinged with something… almost flustered.

Dave grinned even wider. "Oh, I've got the nose of a bloodhound when it comes to things like that. Trust me, I know when a lady's in front of me."

The figure's expression shifted, and for a brief moment, Dave thought she might actually be embarrassed.

But then, to his surprise, she gave him a sly smile and said, "So, you figured me out. Very clever, but it doesn't matter. You're still in my domain, and I control everything here."

Dave waved his hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah. I've heard it all before. So, what are you going to do? Turn me into a frog? Make me fall in love with you? Because, let me tell you, that last one is a lost cause."

The Illusion Queen chuckled darkly. "No, I have something much better in mind."

With a snap of her fingers, the world around them seemed to shimmer and change, as if the very fabric of reality had bent to her will.

Suddenly, Dave found himself standing in a lavish palace, surrounded by golden walls and towering columns.

The floor beneath him was made of polished marble, and the air was filled with the scent of expensive perfume. He blinked in confusion. "What the—?"

"Welcome to my world. Let me introduce myself, I am the Illusion Queen" the Illusion Queen's voice echoed from all directions. "Here, you are mine to control."

Dave smirked. "Oh, nice try, sweetheart. I've dealt with illusions before. I'm not falling for this."

But the illusion only grew stronger. In a flash, Dave was no longer standing in the palace.

Instead, he was now at a grand banquet table, surrounded by what appeared to be beautiful women in lavish dresses.

They fawned over him, offering him food and drink, their eyes filled with admiration.

"Oh, Dave, you're so strong and handsome," one of the women said in a voice that sent shivers down his spine.

"Why don't you stay here with us? We can give you everything you've ever wanted."

Dave looked around, his grin never fading. "Oh, I've definitely been in this kind of situation before. I'm not buying it."

But then, the women's expressions began to change. Their eyes darkened, their smiles twisting into grotesque, monstrous grins.

Their features distorted, becoming hideous, with sharp teeth and glowing red eyes.

The once-beautiful banquet hall transformed into a dark, desolate cavern, the air thick with an oppressive sense of dread.

Dave shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh, a little horror to spice things up. I'll admit, that's a nice touch."

The illusion shifted again, and suddenly, Dave was standing in a fiery pit.

The ground cracked open, and flames licked at his feet.

The creatures lunged at him, their claws scraping the air. But Dave, calm as ever, simply put his hands in his pockets and yawned.

"Alright, I'll give you credit for creativity," Dave said, unfazed by the horror unfolding around him.

"But this is starting to get a little repetitive, don't you think?"

Just as he spoke, the creatures vanished, replaced by a vision of himself—only this time, he was dressed in a ridiculous clown costume, juggling pies and wearing a red nose.

The entire scene seemed to mock him, as if the illusion itself was laughing at him.

"Is this your idea of a joke?" Dave said, staring at the clown version of himself.

"Nice try. But I'm done playing around."

He clenched his fists, feeling a burst of energy surge through him. "I've been in worse situations than this. Illusions won't work on me."

But just as he thought he had broken free, the world shifted once again.

This time, it wasn't just a single illusion—it was a series of overlapping illusions, each one more bizarre and exaggerated than the last.

One moment, he was floating in space, surrounded by giant floating hamburgers.

The next, he was being chased by giant, angry chickens. And then, he was suddenly alone in a room filled with thousands of tiny versions of himself, all laughing hysterically.

Dave couldn't help but chuckle. "Okay, I'll admit it. This is starting to get funny. But you know what? I'm still not impressed."

The illusions continued one after another, looping endlessly in a cycle.

The line between reality and fantasy began to blur, and Dave realized that he was stuck in an endless loop of illusion within illusion.

But still, he remained calm, unfazed by the ever-changing world around him.

"I've got all day," Dave said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's see what else you've got, Illusion Queen."
