Chapter 187: The scheme Begins...
If even the God Realm cultivators were fearful, then how would they be able to defend against it? They felt powerless in the face of such strength.
Noticing that the Scarlet Moon organization showed no signs of moving, they sighed in relief.
The whole battlefield was silent for a moment before terrifying sounds resounded.
Horrifying attacks surfaced, and spells sprung out. The battle for the sixth relic had begun once again.
Time passed slowly, and soon the relic was taken by one of the God Realm cultivators.
The battle was extremely terrifying and lasted for a few minutes.
At this moment, all was silent. Then, slowly, the surroundings stirred.
This time, it wasn't just at one place. Rather, two places stirred.
Everyone's eyes lit up with greed.
Both the seventh and eighth relics had appeared simultaneously. This was an unprecedented event.
This time, the chance of obtaining a relic had increased drastically, even for those who were in the God Incarnate Realm.
If the God Realm cultivators could struggle for the relic at one side, their chance of getting the second relic would have increased drastically.
At this thought, everyone felt their breath quicken. Meanwhile, Kranos and the others who were still in the secret realm felt the surroundings change, and they were slightly startled. Luka glanced out of the secret space and noticed what was happening, causing his eyes to widen slightly.
"How interesting!"
Kathryn turned to Kranos and the others. Now it seemed as though she was no longer concerned with thoughts about the soul relic, however Kranos knew better.
Kathryn would never let go of him, at least not yet.
"We are going for both relics. Kevin, Luka, and I will head over to take the relic on the further north. Kranos and Aurora, you two should be able to take the relic on the other side, right?" Kathryn asked, raising a brow.
Kranos pondered for a moment, trying to find any flaws in her plan. However, even after a moment of thinking, he couldn't come up with anything.
At this, Kranos sighed.
The only reason he could come up with for Kathryn splitting them up like this was so that he and Aurora could exhaust themselves. Then, in the following battle, their mana would be depleted, and she would be able to handle them quite easily.
But Kranos wasn't certain of his guess. Perhaps he was overthinking things and Kathryn really separated them like that because Kranos and Luka were both good at speed. Aurora was also good at speed, which was why she was to follow Kranos.
And Kathryn and Kevin could act as backups for Luka, who was even faster.
Kranos felt he was thinking too deeply on the matter, so he decided not to dwell on it.
In the end, he and Aurora were a very terrifying duo.
With her being unaffected by time, all Kranos had to do was pause time, and they could massacre the crowd.
Then, they could calmly take the relic with them.
Luka and Kevin didn't have any issues with her plans, and Aurora, seeing that Kranos wasn't speaking up, had no issues with the plans as well.
The battle for the relics had already started. With that, the duo no longer hesitated and rushed out in different directions.
Kranos used the Heaven and Earth movement technique, quickly racing through the surroundings, and so did Luka.
Aurora, although slightly slower, was also behind him.
As he moved, Kranos' thoughts spun wildly as he calculated silently in his heart, cross checking all his plans to ensure that everything was right.
He couldn't make any mistakes. After this relic, which was the seventh and eighth, the next battle would ensue, and then he would have to face Kathryn.
Was he truly ready to kill Kathryn?
Kranos was perfectly unsure.
He had tried his best.
He had plotted to the best of his ability and done everything that an old man filled with anger and hatred would do.
But ultimately, was it enough?
Kranos faintly felt he was missing out on something.
But what exactly was it?
He could no longer dwell on such thoughts as he had finally reached the place where the relics were.
Ahead of him were five God Realm cultivators.
Coincidentally, where Kranos and Aurora were sent to was where the God Realm cultivators were.
Kranos glanced around and frowned for a moment, but then relaxed his expression.
Sensing their extremely weak aura, there was a pause in the battlefield.
Were there still weak cultivators such as these alive?
How was that possible?
They were slightly apprehensive, but some of them didn't think too much about it.
It must have been by luck that they were able to live this long.
One of the God Realm cultivators said calmly to them.
"Since you have been able to survive this long, it shows you have some measure of luck. It is better for you to prioritize your life and leave the battlefield now that it is still early."
Aurora just sneered in disdain. Hearing their words, she didn't give them any respect at all and said loudly.
"With how weak you all are, is there a need for us to fear?"
Hearing her words, the expressions of the cultivators changed slightly.
Who was the little girl calling weak?
Ultimately, in the end, who was truly weak?
Wasn't it they who were just at the Dao Palace realm? Was this some sort of joke?
They stared at Kranos and Aurora, and killing intent began to surface on their expressions.
Another God Realm cultivator from the five spoke up suddenly.
"This is not a place for Dao Palace realm cultivators. Isn't it best for us to kill them and then continue with our battle? Having such small fry insult us is truly irritating."
The female cultivator's face held a look of disgust as she spoke.
Aurora glanced at her then ignored her completely.
Seeing this, two of the God Realm cultivators also agreed with her words and instantly moved.
Aurora turned to glance at Kranos.
'How about pausing time? Let's see who kills the highest number of cultivators before you run out?'
Kranos thought for a moment, then a mysterious aura spread out from him into the surroundings.
Kranos had never been one to compete, but he was curious.
What was the extent of Aurora's strength?
Eternal Hunger appeared in his hand.
This wooden sword, which had accompanied him for a while now, radiated a mysterious, profound aura.
It emitted a strange silver light the moment it appeared.
Seeing this, Kranos was slightly startled.
What was going on?
Eternal Hunger seemed to understand his thoughts and faintly trembled.
Kranos was stunned. Then a thought struck him.
He hadn't paid too much attention to the sword before, but now.
Was it evolving?
Eternal Hunger had been growing steadily for a while, breaking past the basic rank, the intermediate rank, the profound rank, and so many other ranks. However, it had never displayed any unique phenomenon while breaking through.
At least not until now.
It seemed this breakthrough was far from ordinary.
Kranos was overjoyed.
'Since you need time to completely break through, I will satisfy your desire.'
There was also the fact that Kranos was about to compete with Aurora.
He was excited.
He definitely wouldn't lose.
Although Aurora was unaffected by time, it was only for now.
It was mostly because his control of time was insufficient.
When had time ever been inferior?
Time could only be the greatest and continue to become even far greater than everything.
What was the essence of nothingness?
In the end, it was still nothing compared to time!
With all these thoughts, Kranos attacked.
At this moment, Kranos, for the first time in a while, had created a sword technique.
...
Kevin, Kathryn, and Luka moved as well.
There was one major reason why Kathryn had chosen Luka to come with her.
It was because of his luck.
With Luka's luck present, nothing could go wrong.
Honestly, if Kathryn was asked who she wanted the most among Kranos and Luka, it would without a doubt be Luka.
In this timeline, Aurora had not come as Kranos' enemy from the Black Rain Pavilion, so Kathryn was ignorant of the fact that Kranos could control time.
In Kranos' previous timeline, she at least held vague suspicions, but in this timeline she only thought he could control space just like in her past life.
If she knew about Kranos' ability to control time, then the choice would undoubtedly become difficult.
Between luck and time, in the end, which one was more powerful?
Unfortunately, Kathryn held no knowledge of all these things.
Because of this, she would choose Luka without a doubt.
The only reason she hadn't moved towards plotting against him, instead treating him with respect, was because she knew how terrifying luck was.
In her previous life, Luka went on to become the most terrifying expert of the era.
With his luck, even all twelve calamities weren't his match, and he had survived them unscathed.
Plotting against someone with unfathomable luck was dooming oneself.
