Chapter 535 Shocked to the core
[Name 'Brontes' has been chosen. Taming process is complete.]
The system confirmed Alex's choice and another system notification quickly appeared before his eyes, however before Alex wanted to do anything there was one thing he wanted to check.

[Check for further tame details]
First off there were many things that had changed in his details ever since he had last checked them. For one, his soul core was B- now, which he had already known, but there was a huge difference between feeling it and actually seeing that fact actualised in his system details.
Right now, he could be considered a part of the genuine upper class of the Federation thanks to his higher life form status. But even disregarding that, becaus of the fact that he was Variant class, he was actually stronger than 99% of the other B tiers in the Federation.
It was general knowledge among the awakened that the higher one pushed their classification, the harder it would be to advance through the ranks of their soul core. Because of this fact, many opted to just stop at Mutant class, if they even had the opportunity to get that far, and instead focus entirely on their soul core from that point onwards.
However, other than that, there were many other changes that Alex had noticed.
First off, there was a new set of requirements for him to check that he would need to complete if he wanted to reach B rank.
He checked those requirements without a moment's hesitation.
[Requirements for B rank: Kill 100 Variant class B+ rank beings.]
'Hmmm, not as bad as my B tier rank up requirement.' Alex thought to himself.
If he was being honest though, this was mostly what he was expecting. He already knew that the requirements to rank up across tiers rather than minor ranks were much harder to complete.
He could only be grateful that his requirements didn't mention anything about killing A tier beings! He had yet to judge his new strength against other opponents, so he didn't know exactly where he ranked.
The gap in strength between each tier grew exponentially the higher one went up after all!
Finally though, there was one last thing that Alex felt his heartbeat increase in excitement to check.
He looked down at the [Tames] section of his details, and couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline as he willed the details of Brontes to show up in his face.

'...'
Alex was speechless upon inspecting Brontes' details. He didn't even know what to think, with his mind literally becoming blank when reading through the endless list of impossibly powerful details.
It just kept of getting more and more shocking the further he read on. Just as he thought it couldn't get anymore shocking, he just had to continue reading.
First off, what was this 'Mythos' rank that was attached to each one of its talents? Alex only knew of the traditional F-S ranking for both the soul core and the talents attached, and his own 'Soul' rank for his Soulforge talent.
But this was the first time he was hearing of such a rank, obviously beyond S tier, let alone seeing it in person.
'Mythos, huh?' he muttered to himself internally.
Then he started to analyse each of Brontes' talents.
[Aetherial Lightning Mastery (Mythos+) - Complete dominion over lightning infused with your own unique Aetherial energy. Lightning you generate isn't merely electricity; its imbued with aetherial energy that can disrupt energy fields, destroy matter at a molecular level, and even bypass conventional defenses. Should any beings with Lightning talents come across you, their abilities will be nullified.]
Once again, Alex didn't know what to think. Brontes clearly controlled unparalleled power over the lightning element itself, far beyond Alex's own Phoenix Flames.
He had no doubt that if Brontes used this talent, it might engulf the entire star system in lightning…
This entire situation was clearly far out of Alex's league, but he continued looking anyway.
[Cosmic Vitality (Mythos+): As a divine class entity, you are essentially immortal. Your body can regenerate from catastrophic damage, and its sheer size makes most conventional attacks insignificant. Your scales are imbued with Aetherial properties, making them impervious to most physical and energy based attacks. Only beings Divine class or Beyond S tier equivalent can pose a threat to you.]
Alex felt his eyes bulge when reading this. Immortality? Impervious to nearly everything below a certain level of strength? This was on a level that was simply unfair. His conenction to Brontes buzzed faintly, as though the creature could sense his amazement and was basking in his admiration.
'You're a walking fortress… no, you're a living calamity!' Alex thought to himself. But there was more to uncover, and he wasn't just going to stop now.
