"WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME!"

As we were following the Litwick, we heard someone screaming, and the voice was familiar to us. We looked at each other for a moment before rushing towards the source of the voice.

When we reached there, we saw the girls from N25. Ena was in tears while sitting on her knees, she was the one screaming earlier, Kanade and Mizuki where standing on her side trying to calm her and Mafuyu was looking at them. With them, there were a Starvia, a Sneasel, a Hatterene and a Duskloak.

"You'll never understand me, Mizuki! You've been born with a silver spoon. Someone like you would never be able to understand the struggle of commoners like me! You're the last person I want to hear saying that!" Said ena furious while crying at the same time.

"Wha… Ena... You..." Mizuki was surprised to hear that an was a bit crestfallen by it.

"What's going on here!" I said with a slightly raised voice.

They were surprised seeing us. Mizuki gave me an apologetic look.

"This doesn't have anything to do with you!" Shouted Ena defiantly.

"You know, during her Elementary school, Mizuki has been bullied for being 'born with a silver spoon' and have developed a slight trauma at the time. You calling her that should have frightened her a bit and saddened her."

Ena was taken aback and looked at Mizuki regretfully but due to her emotion turmoil, she couldn't say anything.

"Mafuyu, what happened for her to react like that?" Seeing her maintaining her calm, I decided to ask her. At first, I thought she lost her emotions since I couldn't feeling anything but it seemed like they were locked away with some hex energies, the power relative to ghost type Pokemon. With my actual mastery of miracle power, I can't unlock them without causing a serious damage so I'll have to find another solution.

"Earlier, we found an unknown white Pokemon and Ena tried to catch it but the Pokemon disappeared and she ended up getting a variant Rattata instead. And after that, she screamed, I don't know for what reason." She explained.

I was a bit speechless hearing that then asked. "Ena, did you react like that just because you caught a Rattata?"

"You don't understand! Earlier, when we were searching for Pokemon, my only successful catches just happened to be normal type Pokemon. They may be good Pokemon but it would make my team less effective.

"When I found that unknown Pokemon, I thought I would finally get a good Pokemon that would get a good Pokemon to complement my team but no, instead, I ended up with a useless Rattata. And now half of my team is nothing but useless Pokemon. I was always told by my father that I don't have a talent for Pokemon battles and now, it's like the heavens are telling me to keep being an average "normal" girl till the end." She whined.

"If you find them really that useless then why don't you just release them and catch better Pokemon?"

"Hmpf! Isn't it better to keep them and just catch new ones."

"What? Are you going to keep them even if they're useless?"

"Do you have a problem with that? And they may be not so useless after all."

"Then why are you complaining?"

"That's because I was frustrated okay! Most of the Pokemon I wanted to catch managed to get away or caught by the others and when I thought I would get a good one, of all things, I got a Rattata instead."

"I see, well, can you tell me which Pokemon you have on your team?"

"Um, let's see, Starvia, Smeargle, Bidoof, Kangaskhan, Tandemaus and Rattata. Smeargle, Bidoof and Rattata being the weak ones."

"A full team of normal type huh, but you know, your situation seems to be a blessing in disguise."

"Huh? Are you mocking me?"

"No, I'm not. You know that specializing in one type would be very efficient for trainers, it would also make the team predictable since they would have a common weakness. But it doesn't change the fact that it's very advantageous to specialize in a single type.

"You may think normal type is just an average type but it's the safest choice if your battling talent isn't that good. Its only weakness is fighting type which can be easily countered with psychic, fairy and flying type. Also, normal type Pokemon can easily learn moves from other typing which would give a good coverage and variety of moves."

"I see, but what about the Pokemon themselves? It's very well known that most of the Pokemon of that type aren't that strong."

"Well, when it comes to raw power, most of normal type Pokemon aren't much. I know most of people in this world think that power is everything but there are a lot of strategies for the weaker ones to beat the stronger ones. Let's take Raticate for example, even though it's a very average, there's a strategy that could make it feared even by legendaries.

"You said that Bidoof and Smeargle are useless. Bidoof and Bibarel may be average when it comes to raw power but its three regular abilities are so good that if it master the three of them, it would become one of the best Pokemon in this world, so much that it could contend with legendaries but such a case is unprecedented since everyone gave up on training it due to its average raw power."

(A/n: I decided to make a competitive approach for this fic. While the original legendaries are extremely powerful, the ones that could be caught are like in the games where you can beat a Dialga with an overleveled starter.)

"... What? Are you serious? How could that be!" Ena was dumbfounded by what she heard, and she wasn't the only one, it was the same for the others.

"Aah~ I'm also amazed by what he said but if it's Yuu who say it then it's true. You see, other than his miracle power, Yuu was also born with a unique power that gives him every knowledge about Pokemon." Explained Mizuki.

It took Ena a moment of contemplation for everything to sink in. "*Sigh* Even if everything you said is true, I'm just a girl with not much talent so it's not like I would be able to train my Pokemon to reach that level. Rattata, Bidoof and Smeargle, huh? Wait, what about Smeargle? Isn't it completely useless? It can only use a move to paint something in few seconds and nothing else. I tried to teach it some easy moves but it couldn't learn anything."

"Well, Smeargle are a special case. They can't learn anything the normal way. What makes them special is their signature move, Sketch. Sketch allow them to reproduce almost any moves through drawings. When their mastery over a move reaches the minimum, they would be able to use it without using sketch anymore.

"The only moves that can't be reproduced are custom moves and a few legendaries'moves. Other than that, it can learn any move regardless of the type or the condition to use them such as being able to use wing attack without having wings."

"Really! Let me try it immediately!" Ena immediately took out her Smeargle excitedly and distanced herself from us a bit to try having Smeargle learn her Starvia's Wing attack.

"Well, we'll take our leave for now since we have something to do. Oh right, Mizuki, when you're back, you can give Kanade a Razor Claw to evolve her Sneasel during the night. Anyway, see you later everyone!" I told them.

"See you! And thank you for helping Ena!"

As we went away, I saw a white fox-like ghost Pokemon hiding behind a tree looking at the girls, or more precisely at Ena. It seems this girl is really fated to be a Normal type specialist.

"This is wonderful! Smeargle can really use Wing attack! Yuu-kun was right. Wait, where did they go?"

"Hahaha, you were too absorbed in what you did, Ena. The went away a while ago." Said Mizuki.

"What? Really?

"Yeah, do you miss him already?"

"No! That's not it! It's just that I forgot to thank him. Also, I should apologize to him for shouting at him. Also, Mizuki, I'm sorry for taking my frustration out on you."

"Hehe, don't worry about it. We're friends so I accepted your apology. As for Yuu, I have an idea, why don't you..."

After that episode with these girls, we continued to follow the Litwick till we reached a dilapidated mansion.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Is this what I think it is? And a real one at that? A real haunted mansion? This is... This is absolutely fantastic!!!" Shouted Saki joyously.

"Fufu, Saki-chan, calm down bit."

Even though the atmosphere surroundings the mansion was pretty scary, Saki was even more excited than usual which caused everyone to calm down, especially Sakura who seemed a bit pale earlier. Since the space inside the mansion would be limited, we decide to keep only one Pokemon with each of us and one that wouldn't take much space, though Sachiko kept staying in my shadow.

When we were walking towards it with Sakura and the Litwick leading the way, a white dog-like Pokemon with a black blade-like horn on the side of its head blocked our way."

"Hey, it's an Absol! We should chase it away or else, a disaster would hit us!" Exclaimed Saki.

"T-that's wrong! It doesn't bring disaster at all! My grandma said that Absol can feel the danger and would warn people when it feels disasters would occur but people misunderstood them as bringers of disaster instead." We were surprised since it was the first time we heard Sakura rising her voice. The Absol seemed a bit happier hearing Sakura taking its defense.

"Oh, is that so! Then, I'm sorry for misunderstanding about you, Absol."

Absol just nodded at Saki showing it accept her apology.

"But, Yuu-kun, doesn't that mean this mansion is dangerous?" Asked Hoshi-chan.

"Nah, there's nothing that dangerous here. I can feel some weak ghost type inside and a very special room inside but nothing too dangerous. The only thing that could pose slight danger would be the pranks like having a chandelier fall on you or getting tripped on a stair but we have our Pokemon to help us and I'm also here."

The Absol just snorted at me and kept staying in the way.

"Um, c-can you let us go inside please? And, uhm, you can come with us if you're still worrying about us."

It stared at Sakura for a moment and finally relented but stayed at Sakura's side.

When we entered, we were welcomed by the usual scene in horror movies. The door closing suddenly, broken and dusty furnitures here and there, unrecognizable paintings on the walls and there was some keys on a floating key ring. Ah, the last one was actually a Pokemon, a Klefki. It was a pretty good Pokemon so I caught it.

"Rai!"

"Over there!"

As we followed Litwick, Saki's Alolan Raichu, Célia, shouted suddenly and Saki threw a tamato berry towards a certain direction. The berry hit a Ghastly who was trying to sneak on her, most likely trying to prank her.

"Haha, yeah!! I got you! I finally got you! Hahahaha!!" Saki was elated to have pranked back the Ghastly who kept pranking her.

The Ghastly was a bit annoyed and threw a small purple liquid towards her but it stopped mid-air thanks to Célia's psychic.

"Wha! ...Hey, HEY! Bad boy! No poison! You can't use poison when pranking! Very bad boy!" Saki admonished the Ghastly causing it to be regretful.

"You know, pranking is okay as long as you don't do anything dangerous okay. Poison is absolutely no go! Be a good boy okay!" Saki lectured it while also patting its head.

It got surprised by Saki's action before blushing then it ran away.

"Aw, what a bummer. I wanted to catch it." She was dejected seeing it running away like that.

"No need to worry, Saki. You can still catch it when you find it later."

"You're right, Yuu-chan! I'll definitely cath it next time I find it."

With that we continued to follow the Litwick until we reached a certain door. Absol seemed a bit suspicious of the door but knowing what was inside, I opened it and we entered the room.

At first, it looked like an empty storage but as the door closed, the room started to crumble. The girls and the Pokemon were startled but the fall that everyone expected to happen didn't, it was just our surroundings that changed into a wide black, white and grey space. It was a space between the world of the living and that of the dead, also know as the death corridor. This there are multiple death corridors and each of them connect to a specific place.

Absol was on his guard and focused its senses trying to find a danger but surprisingly, it felt nothing. That's right, even though it connects to the world of the dead, this place is very safe as long as there's no dangerous Pokemon and no normal person can enter that world while being alive.

The reason Absol was on his edge was due to the death energy from here but that kind of energy actually have no effect on living humans. It would just give an eerie feeling and nothing else.

"Wick wick!" The Litwick gleamed in joy for successful pranking us. Litwick's favorite prank is actually to make people get lost in a death corridor even though it's pretty easy to get out of here

"What would you do now that you succeed in your prank?" I asked the Litwick.

"Lit? Wick." It just shrugged since it now has nothing to do.

"Then are you interested in becoming my Pokemon?" Asked Sakura.

"Lit? Litwick!" It accepted feeling that it would see more interesting things.Seeing that, she took out a PokeBall and caught it.

Much to Saki's delight, we decided to explore this space for a while since it's not everyday that we can explore it. During our exploration, there was an instance where tried to catch a frillish but when she threw a PokeBall, the Ghastly from earlier appeared in front of it and got caught instead while the frillish ran away. She was surprised but was very happy with her catch.

When we had enough, we opened a door in a certain wall. During our exploration, we saw some doors from time to time and they should be connected to the mansion. And as expected, we came back. After closing the door, Saki was curious and opened it but what was inside was just a dilapidated kitchen.

On our way back, Sakura decided to catch the Absol while I caught a Chinchou that got my interest. And with that, we decided to call it a day.

Finally, I finished writing it.

As you saw in this chapter and every previous chapters, I have changed the background of proseka characters for them to fit in this world. For Ena, art is just her hobby, not her focus. I changed that because there would be no reason for her to enter this school otherwise. Leo/need, MMJ, and WonderShow didn't have that much changes other than the siblings having different mothers and Emu being in the Himekawa clan and also being a reincarnator. I'm still hesitating over a few things especially about VBS.

Due to the focus not being on Proseka and the setting of the world and their school, it would be impossible for most Proseka canon events to happen here. So, other than their group formation events, I would create my own stories for them. I may take some inspiration from the game events but most of them would be my original. Though, don't expect me to create stories as good as the originals, I mean the Proseka stories are so great that a new author like me would never be able to make.

Please, don't shy away from giving me some suggestions. I really love Proseka even though I can't play the game (can't be played on my phone) and my shallow understanding of them comes from YouTube and the wikis. Also, feel free to give me some criticism since those would help me to improve my writing.

Anyway, thank you everyone for reading this not so good fanfic of mine.

Don't forget the power stones.
