The Poison Powder dispersed rapidly in the water, spreading its toxins. Gyarados's reaction was just a step too slow, and it was now poisoned.

The symptoms would only worsen over time.

With a loud splash, the Gyarados, now covered in purple spots, burst out of the water, sending waves surging around it.

Its expression revealed significant discomfort, and its body was twitching unnaturally.

"Use Ice Fang!"

Seeing Gyarados in this state, Meiko realized it had been poisoned. Given that it was still in the toxic water, its condition would deteriorate further.

Determined to make use of what strength Gyarados had left, she immediately ordered an aggressive attack.

Normally, Gyarados wouldn't have been poisoned so easily, even in toxic water—especially if it had avoided drinking the water or sustaining too many wounds.

After all, Magikarp, even in heavily polluted industrial waters, are known for their remarkable resistance to toxins.

As its evolved form, Gyarados naturally possessed an even greater resistance to poison.

However, Gyarados had inadvertently ingested the poisoned water, and with its body already wounded, its poison resistance had been significantly weakened.

As a result, poisoning was inevitable.

Despite its poisoned state, Gyarados's fierce nature ensured its combat effectiveness remained formidable.

Upon hearing Meiko's command, it exhaled freezing air from its jaws and lunged at Bellossom like a ravenous dragon, aiming to deliver a powerful Ice Fang.

The water arena greatly restricted Bellossom's mobility on land. Confronted with Gyarados's aggressive attack, Bellossom's expression turned serious.

"Don't be afraid! Counter with Leaf Blade!"

Sato was well aware of Bellossom's disadvantage in the water arena. Faced with Gyarados's brute force, the only option was to confront it head-on.

At his command, Bellossom swiftly drew two long leaves from her leafy skirt.

As soon as she gripped them, a verdant green glow enveloped the leaves, sharpening them into sword-like blades.

With the leaf blades in hand, Bellossom's demeanor shifted subtly, and her movements became more urgent.

Her graceful dance morphed into a fast-paced waltz, transforming the blades into a spinning whirlwind of slashing edges.

Unlike the special moves Gyarados had used earlier, Ice Fang was a physical attack. Combined with Gyarados's impressive physical attack stats and immense size, it posed a terrifying threat.

Finally, Gyarados's Ice Fang clashed with Bellossom's Leaf Blade.

Relying on her agile movements, Bellossom dodged Gyarados's frontal assault, but she couldn't entirely evade the attack. The Ice Fang grazed her, inflicting minor damage.

In return, Bellossom's dual leaf blades unleashed a flurry of strikes on Gyarados, cutting through its blue-scaled armor and leaving deep, menacing wounds.

As Gyarados plunged its freezing head back into the water, icy waves erupted, instantly freezing into sheets of ice.

A thin layer of ice began forming across the water's surface.

However, just as Sato and Bellossom thought the assault was over, Gyarados's exposed tail suddenly became enveloped in a swirling current.

With lightning speed, it delivered a devastating Aqua Tail, striking Bellossom—still wielding her dual leaf blades—squarely.

"Boom!!"

Bellossom was caught off guard by the sudden attack and was sent flying into the water, creating a massive splash.

"Well done! Don't let her get back onto land—finish her on the water's surface!"

Meiko's face lit up with triumph as Gyarados's hidden Aqua Tail landed successfully. She immediately commanded Gyarados to press the attack and keep Bellossom in the water.

This combination of Ice Fang as an overt move and Aqua Tail as a hidden trump card was the result of Meiko's meticulous training.

Now, in this critical moment, the synergy between these moves was fully realized, showcasing their deadly effectiveness.

"Quickly surface and head to the nearest platform!" Seeing Bellossom fall into the water, Sato's expression finally betrayed a hint of panic as he hurriedly instructed Bellossom to get back on land.

In the water, the battle capabilities of Water-type Pokémon increase exponentially.

While Bellossom was decent in water, she was no match for Gyarados, the tyrant of aquatic battles.

Thanks to her plant-based body, Bellossom was lightweight and had significant buoyancy.

Swiftly moving her arms, she propelled herself toward the surface.

However, just as she was about to break the surface, a massive, menacing head emerged in her path.

Gyarados was preparing to unleash Thrash against her.

Gyarados's current choice of moves was quite limited. Using Thunderbolt in water would be suicidal, while Ice Beam and Ice Fang would freeze the water and hinder his movements.

As for Flamethrower, it was out of the question entirely.

After deliberation, Gyarados resorted to his favorite move, Thrash, recklessly charging at Bellossom.

At that moment, Bellossom's eyes sparkled with determination. Quickly crossing her arms in front of her, she began forming a verdant Energy Ball.

Since evasion was impossible, she had no choice but to counter directly. The opportunity presented itself, and she wasn't going to waste it.

The Energy Ball took form rapidly. Before Gyarados could close in with his bite, Bellossom fired it off.

This time, instead of compressing the energy for a single shot, she chose to launch a series of successive attacks.

Aimed directly at the massive, gaping mouth of the oncoming Gyarados, the Energy Balls shot forward.

In the next moment, a deafening explosion echoed as a huge splash erupted from the water. Gyarados's massive body surfaced, letting out a roar of pain.

The Energy Ball had detonated inside his mouth, not only interrupting his Thrash but also inflicting significant damage.

Simultaneously, Bellossom broke through the water's surface. Between her hands, another Energy Ball rapidly formed, but this time it was tightly compressed, radiating intense energy waves.

Without hesitation, Bellossom seized the moment of vulnerability and launched the compressed Energy Ball at Gyarados. The resulting explosion sent Gyarados reeling a short distance through the air.

Due to the polluted water, neither Sato nor Meiko could see much of what had transpired underwater. As the two Pokémon reemerged, their states became clear, eliciting mixed emotions from the trainers.

"How could this happen?"

Meiko's face turned pale, her expression filled with disbelief as she saw Gyarados, a Water-type powerhouse, forced out of the water by Bellossom.

"It's time to end this. Bellossom, use Leaf Storm!"

Sato was amazed by Bellossom's outstanding performance but remained calm.

Seeing that the poisoned and battered Gyarados was at its limit, he commanded Bellossom to unleash her finishing move.

In the next moment, Bellossom radiated a blinding green light as countless glowing leaves materialized around her.

These leaves formed a raging Leaf Storm, which she sent hurtling toward the severely weakened Gyarados.

"Don't give up! Counter with Ice Beam!"

Meiko shouted at the injured Gyarados, urging him to fight back.

True to his fierce nature, Gyarados, despite his worsening injuries and poison taking a toll, mustered his remaining strength.

He raised his head and unleashed a thick, icy-blue Ice Beam from his mouth.

However, Bellossom's Leaf Storm was overwhelmingly powerful. The weakened Ice Beam was no match, and the verdant tempest tore through it, slamming into Gyarados with full force.

In the end, with an anguished roar of defiance, Gyarados's massive, battered body slowly collapsed into the water, sending up a small splash as it fell.
