Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Now that the mysterious GS Ball has been delivered to Kurt, the Pokeball expert, Mew and her friends are now making their way to the Azalea Gym for Mew's long awaited match.

"It can't be far now," Mew says.

"The second gym in the Johto League, the Azalea Town gym," Brock says.

"I can't wait to see," Tomo says.

"I can't wait for Mew to win," Jen says.

Mew giggles in reply.

Just then, Misty holds her canteen and uses it as a microphone to ask, "Mr. Ketchum, do you have a prediction about your upcoming Pokémon match?"

"Well, I predict that it might be a tough battle, but I'm sure to win," Mew says.

"Eevee," (I agree.) Eevee says.

"Pikachu!" (You betcha!) Pikachu says.

"You're right about that. I think this'll be a tough one for you, if you haven't come up with a plan yet," Misty says.

"How come?" Mew asks.

"You don't have your star battler anymore. In your other gym matches, you could count on Charizard to use its fire power to win during tougher matches," Misty says.

"That's true, but I have my other Pokemon with me who are just as strong," Mew says.

Then she brings out Cyndaquil's Pokeball, "I do miss Charizard, but I know he's training hard at the valley. And I have my other Pokemon, like Cyndaquill who has plenty of firepower."

"That's true, it might be tough, but I'm sure you'll win if you have a plan," Misty says.

Soon, Mew and the others are standing in front of the gym

"Well, this is it," Mew says

Mew calls out, "Hello? Anybody here?"

"Are you positive we're in the right place? Cause this looks more like a garden then a Pokemon gym," Misty asks.

"Well, it may look like a garden, but according to the guide book, this is the Azalea Town gym," Brock says.

"Come on, let's have a look around," Mew says, and walks inside.

"Uh, guys. Maybe we should wait here," Misty says.

Soon, everyone begins to walk inside the gym to find the gym leader.

Mew looks around, "The gym leader's gotta be around here, someplace."

"I know we're inside, but it feels like we're in a forest," Brock says.

"Yeah. Kind of reminds me of the forest just outside of Pallet Town," Mew says.

"Or the Viridian Forest," Misty says.

"Or the forest at the Pokemon Nature Preserve," Tomo says.

Then Jen says, "Or the forest at Jurassic Island."

"Well, to me, it feels like something creepy is gonna jump out at us any second now," Misty says, growing uneasy.

"What kind of something, Misty?" Mew asks.

"Like, something that could sneak up behind you and…" Misty says, but interrupted to feel something on her head.

Misty screams and runs around in a panic, "Something's on my head! Something's on my head!"

Mew stops Misty from running, "Calm down Misty, it's only a Caterpie."

Misty stops panicking and looks up to see that it is a Caterpie on her head.

"Oh, so it is," Misty says. Then turns to Mew, "Can you get it off of me?"

"Sure," Mew says, and picks up Caterpie from her head.

She places it down on the ground, "There you go."

Then Caterpie crawls away.

"That really scared me for a minute there," Misty says.

"Is this really a gym? It's more like a forest or Bug Type, which is a good environment for them," Mew says

Suddenly, someone says, "Wrong, miss."

Everyone soon looks up in the tree to see a young boy with purple hair, and wears a safari like outfit.

The boy says, "This is definitely a Pokémon gym, the Azalea Town Gym, and in a way, this is a forest, for my Bug Pokemon anyway. Because everyone knows that bug Pokémon are the best Pokemon in the world!"

"Um hello, who might you be?" Mew asks.

"I think it will be more proper if you tell me who YOU are," The boy says.

Mew then says, "My name is Mew, from Pallet Town, and I came to challenge the Azalea Town gym leader.

"Oooooh! You're another challenger!" The boy says, "I'm Bugsy, the Azalea Town gym leader. Bug Pokemon are my specialty. And I know just about everything there is to know about them."

"Okay then, let's battle," Mew says.

I accept all challengers, that's the job of a gym leader," Bugsy says, determined

But then says, "But before we start…"

"Yeah?" Mew asks.

Then Bugsy asks, "Could you get the ladder? I'm stuck up here."

Everyone stumbles in disbelief. Later, Mew helps bring the ladder against the tree, and Bugsy climbs down.

Climbing down, Bugsy says, "Thanks, guys."

"You should be more careful, Bugsy. If we weren't here, you'd still be stuck up there," Mew says.

But Bugsy says, "The only reason I knocked the ladder over was cause you guys yelled and surprised me. It was your fault I got stuck in the first place."

"OUR fault?!" Misty exclaims in anger.

Brock tries to calm Misty, "Settle down."

"He's right, Misty. It might have happened when the Caterpie landed on your head," Mew says.

As the group talks, Team Rocket spies from outside.

"Those kids must be here to win another badge," James says.

And Meowth says, "And from de looks of dis place, dat gym leader's gonna use bug Pokemon!"

"Perfect," Jessie says, "We'll wait until the twerp gets caught up in his match then we'll catch Pikachu and Eevee."

And James says, "But we'll have to disguise ourselves to blend in with the décor."

"Why not go with the classic garden motif?" Meowth suggests.

Soon, Team Rocket is in the gym disguised as a tree.

Dressed as a Sunflower, Jessie muffles, "I'll be a beautiful flower."

James is disguised as a tree, "I'll be a sturdy tree."

Disguised as a weed, Meowth says, "I'll be a pesky weed."

Then Victreebel comes up and spooks James from behind, catching all the Bug Pokemon's attention towards them.

Jessie muffles, "They've spotted us."

"Don't move," James muffles.

"Just act organic," Meowth muddles.

However, Victreebel lets out another screech. Then all the Bug Pokemon web Team Rocket and Victreebel with String Shot.

Later, Bugsy shows Mew and the others the battlefield.

"Hey, what's this?" Tomo asks.

Then Brock says, "Now I understand! He uses bug Pokémon and they like to live in the forest, so that's just where Bugsy built the gym and the battlefield."

Just then, the referee says, "This official Pokémon battle between Bugsy, the gym leader of the Azalea Town gym, and Mew, the challenger from Pallet Town is about to begin! Each trainer may use three Pokémon! A gym badge is at stake! Are the trainers ready?!"

"I'm ready when you are!" Mew says.

"Mew, before we start, I want to ask you something," Bogsy says.

"Sure, what is it?" Mew replies.

Then Bugsy asks, "Have you ever heard the saying, 'the trainer who learns the rules of the bug Pokémon learns to rule the bug Pokémon'?"

"No," Mew answers, shaking her head, "Who said that?"

"Me, weren't you listening?" Bugsy answers.

That makes Mew rather confused.

"That Bugsy's sure got bug Pokémon on the brain," Brock says.

"I agree," Misty says.

"Then Bugsy says, "I'm gonna start off with one of the strongest competitors in my bug Pokemon arsenal!" and throws his Pokeball, "I choose Spinarak!"

Then Spinarak comes out of the Pokeball.

"In that case, I know just the Pokemon I'm gonna choose!" Mew says and throws her Pokeball, "I choose you, Cyndaquil!"

And Cyndaquil comes out of the Pokeball

"Ash made a good decision. This should be an easy win," Brock says.

Cyndaquil lets out a yawn.

Mew giggles, "Guess you just woke up from a nap from your Pokeball."

"Cyndaquil," (I did.) Cyndaquil answers.

"Well then, let's get you warmed up and then we'll turn up the heat," Mew says.

"Cyndaquil," (Right.) Cyndaquil says.

Then Bugsy makes the first move, "Spinarak, use String Shot!"

Spinarak shoots a line of silky sting.

Mew calls out, "Dodge it, Cyndaquil!"

Cyndaquil dodges with ease.

"Keep it up, Spinarak!" Bugsy calls out.

Spinarak fires another string shot.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, just keep dodging its String Shot attacks and we'll wear it out!"

Cyndaquil continues to move and dodge the attack.

"Spinarak and I aren't gonna let you off that easy! Spinarak, cover the whole field with String Shot!" Bugsy says.

Spinarak does so and the string shot fires to Cyndaquil.

Mew calls out, "Quick Cyndaquil, use Flamethrower!"

Cyndaquil acts fast and performs Flamethrower to burn up the String Shot.

Bugsy calmly smiles and says, "Not bad."

"You're doing good, Cyndaquil," Mew says.

Then Bugsy calls out, "Spinarak, Poison Sting attack!"

Spinarak fires the Poison Sting attack.

"Cyndaquil, dodge!" Mew calls out.

Cyndaquil dodges the attack and is light on his feet.

"Cyndaquil is great with defense," Tomo says.

"He's light on his feet," Jen says.

"Loetta," (Like he's dancing.) Meloetta says.

Snubbull and Amaura nod in reply.

Bugsy calls out, "Continue using Poison Sting!"

"Keep dodging Cyndaquil!" Mew calls out.

Cyndaquil continues to dodge the Poison Sting Spinarak is firing. Then Cyndaquil jumps high into the air.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, use Swift!"

Cyndaquil then uses Swift Attack, which is very effective against Spinarak.

"Now use Flamethrower," Mew says.

Cyndaquil then begins to use Flamethrower. It's not as effective as the last one, but it caused some damage.

"Use Tackle!" Mew calls out.

Then Cyndaquil strikes Tackle Attack at Spinarak, causing Spinarak to fall over. Soon, Spinarak is knocked out.

Bugsy runs to Spinarak, "Are you okay?"

The referee announces, "Spinarak is unable to battle! Cyndaquil wins!"

"We did it! You did great, Cyndaquil," Mew says.

"Cyndaquil," (Thank you.) Cyndaquil says and is happy to have won.

"Cyndaquil seems happy," Jen says.

As the group celebrates the win, Team Rocket peeks in through the window.

Jessie chuckles, "Well, just as we predicted. The twerps and Pikachu are caught up in their big, important gym battle."

"We better get to work, quick," Meowth says.

Then asks, "What plan will we use?"

"I think this situation calls for a variation on the old pitfall trap," James says.

Then Jessie says, "We'll tunnel under the gym and come up from below."

"They'll never see us coming!" James says.

They'll just see Pikachu going!" Meowth says

Soon, Meowth and James laugh.

"Then we'll escape through the tunnel," Jessie says.

James happily says, "I love it! It's simple, it's nasty, and it's cheap!"

"Yeah! Just like me! Let's go!" Meowth says.

Back in the battle.

Bugsy calls back his Pokemon, "I can't believe you beat my first Pokémon, but this one's gonna be harder. In fact, this one's gonna be a lot harder. Metapod, go!"

Soon, Metapod comes out of the Pokeball.

"A Metapod?" Mew says, a little surprised.

"Mew, don't let your guard down!" Misty calls out.

"That Metapod must be super strong or he wouldn't use it in a gym match!" Brock says.

She looks at the Metapod and says, "Yeah. It may not look like it, but that Metapod looks tough."

Then notices Cyndaquil, "And Cyndaquil, looks a bit tired."

Mew calls back Cyndaquil, "Take a break Cyndaquil."

And calls back Cyndaquil into the Pokeball.

Then Mew calls out, "Okay, I choose you, Chikorita."

With that, Chikoirta comes out of the Pokeball, and quickly gives Mew a hug.

Mew giggles, "That's nice Chikoirta, but right now, we're going to have a battle."

"Chiko," (Okay.) Chikoirta says, and jumps to the battlefield.

Confused, Bugsy says, "She's going to use a Grass Type against a Bug Type? What kind of decision for a trainer to make?"

"Quite an odd one," Brock says.

"But I'm sure Mew has a plan to make it work," Misty says.

"Yeah. Chikoirta's a tough girl," Jen says.

"I'm sure she can win this one," Tomo says.

"Sometimes types aren't always everything, and sometimes you have to battle by instinct," Mew says.

Then says to Chikoirta, "I have faith in you."

"Chiko," (Thank you.) Chikorita says.

"Just remember that this is Bugsy's second Pokemon, so this Metapod is tougher than it looks," Mew says.

Chikoirta nods in agreement.

Then Bugsy says, "I have pretty good instincts as well, and mine tells me Chikorita is going to lose."

Mew says, "Okay, Chikorita, Vine Whip attack!"

Chikorita extends her vines.

"Metapod, use Harden, now," Bugsy says.

Metapod hardens its shell, causing Chikorita's attack to be rendered useless as Metapod opens its eyes, catching Chikpirta off guard.

"Hmm, this is unexpected," Mew says.

Then calls out, "Try your Razor Leaf, Chikorita!"

Chikorita then fires Razor Leaf.

But Bugsy says, "Metapod, use Harden again!"

Metapod does so, rendering the Razor Leaf useless.

Mew says to herself in thought, "Very clever."

Brock soon understands, "I get it! Bugsy's strategy is to stick with Harden!"

"That way, Chikorita's attacks won't work!" Misty says.

"Come on, Chikorita! Use Razor Leaf as hard as you can!" Mew says.

Then Chikorita fires the attack again.

"We can't stand still for this kind of thing!" Bugsy says.

Then calls out, "Metapod, jump, now!"

Metapod does so, which takes Mew and Chikorita by surprise.

Then Bugsy calls out, "Metapod, Tackle attack!"

Metapod then dives down to Chikorita.

"Quick Chikorita, dodge!" Mew calls out.

Chikorita quickly dodge the attack as Metapod lands on the ground, creating a large cloud of dust.

"Where did it go?" Mew looks around.

In the dust, Metapod appears behind Pikachu

Bugsy calls out, "Tackle it, Metapod!"

Metapod dashes in, but Chikoirta senses and hears Metapod's presence, and evades the attack as Metapod heads smack into the tree, causing a bunch of leaves to fall.

"What's it...?" Mew asks.

Suddenly, Metapod vanishes completely.

"Metapod just, disappeared!" Mew says.

Then Bugsy says, "It's all about speed. Nothing can match a bug Pokemon that's been trained to move."

Chikoirta hears Metapod and searches around to see it charging in. Chikorita quickly invades the attack as Metapod skids to a halt, damaged from the missing sneak attack.

Bugsy calls out, "Metapod!"

"Your Metapod may be fast, but is fast herself!" Mew says.

Then Bugsy calls out, "Metapod, Tackle attack again!"

Metapod dashes in.

"Chikorita dodge it!" Mew calls out.

Metapod tries to charge at Chikorita, but the grass type continues to dodge the attack.

"Alright Chikoirta, let's wrap this up!"

Chikorita quickly steps back and soon begins to use an attack. When Chikorita fires her next attack, it's similar to Razor Leaf, but it's more powerful, and strikes at Metapod with full force.

"What is that?" Jen asks, surprised.

"That's Magical Leaf!" Brock says.

"Wow Chikoirta, you've learned Magical Leaf," Mew says, amazed.

Bugsy cries out, "Metapod!"

Soon, Metapod falls to the ground in defeat.

The referee announces, "Metapod is unable to continue! Chikorita wins!"

Bugsy recalls Mtapod and says, "You battled great, Metapod. You deserve a good rest."

"We did it, Chikoirta! You were great and learned a new move," Mew says.

Very happy, Chikorita jumps into Mew's arms and snuggles her.

"Just look how happy Chikorita is," Brock says.

"This is her first gym win," Misty says.

Just then, Bugsy says, "You're good, Mew. You're the first ones to last into the third round in a match with me for a long, long time. Lucky for me, I saved my best Pokémon for last. The bug Pokémon warrior!" And throws his Pokeball, "I choose you, Scyther!"

With that, Scyther is released from the Pokeball.

Scyther calls out, "Scyther!" (Ready to battle!)

"Oh no! A Scyther!" Brock says, shocked.

"The real battle's starting right now!" Misty says.

Mew turns to Chikorita, "You ready, Chikorita."

"Chiko," (Sure am.) Chikorita says.

"Alright Chikorita, use Tackle," Mew calls out.

Chikorita charges towards Scyther, but it remains motionless.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is underneath the gym, listening for where Pikachu could be.

Meowth says, "Okay. Pikachu stopped movin' around up dere."

"All we have to do now is dig up," James says.

"Then, at long last, we'll achieve our nefarious goal," Jessie says.

"Whatever that means, but we'll finally have Pikachu! The Boss will be so proud of us, Jessie!" James says.

"We'll all get the recognition that we so richly deserve!" Jessie says.

"Who cares about recognition, all I want is a humongous bonus and a hot buffet!" Meowth says.

"Let's get to work then, shall we?!" James says.

Soon, Team Rocket begins to sing.

Jessie:

Oh prepare for trouble, that's what they should do!

James:

And make it double, we're grabbing Pikachu!

Meowth:

Haaaaah!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Meowth:

Sing it!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket digging through to Pikachu at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now or prepare to fight the crowds on opening night!

Meowth:

Meowth, dat's right!

Soon, James makes a hole and pokes his head up through the battlefield, and finds himself right behind Scyther.

"Hey, what's this!" James asks.

Then Mew calls out, "Chikorita, use Magical Leaf!"

Chikorita then begins to perform the attack.

Bugsy calls out, "Scyther, use your Double Team, now!"

Scyther creates multiple copies of itself, The Magical Leaf strikes three of the clones and travels into the hole James made and strikes Team Rocket.

Then Bugsy calls out, "Scyther, use Slash attack!"

Scyther and its Double Team copies charge in.

Mew calls out, "Don't let em fool ya, Chikorita! Hit em all with an Magical Leaf Attack!"

Chikorita fires Magical Leaf and dispatches the copies, but the real one isn't among them.

"Fury Cutter!" Bugsy calls out.

Scyther comes up from behind Chikorita and strikes at her.

Shocked, Chikorita says, "This is bad. Every time Scyther's Fury Cutter hits, the damage to Chikorita is doubled!"

"They can't win!" Misty says.

"Chikorita!" Mew cries out.

Soon, Chikorita falls to the ground, defeated.

The referee announces, "Chikorita is unable to battle! Scyther wins the round!"

"Okay. You did great, Scyther!" Bugsy says.

Mew then picks up Chikorita, "Chikorita. Are you okay?"

Chikorita comes to and nods.

Mew smiles, "You did a real great job, Chikorita. You just take it easy for a while." and calls back Chikorita into her Pokeball

"Mew still has two Pokemon left, and Mew needs to make a choice from it," Brock says.

"Scyther is stronger so she can either use Cyndaquil, or use Pikachu or Eevee," Misty says.

Mew brings out her Pokeball and calls out, "I choose you, Cyndaquil."

"Alright Cyndaquil,this is the last Pokemon we need to beat, and we need to give it our all," Mew says.

Cyndaquil nods.

"We don't need a strategy against a Pokémon that won't do too many attacks, "Bugsy says.

Then calls out, "Scyther, end this with Fury Cutter!"

Scyther charges.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, get away!"

Cyndaquil dodges in time and avoids all of Scyther's swings.

"Nice work, Cyndaquil! Keep dodging just like that!" Mew says.

Cyndaquil continues to dodge the attack, until the back flames begin to light up.

"Alright! Its flame is kicking in!" Mew says

Then Bugsy says, "Scyther, Double Team attack, now!"

Scyther then creates more duplicates, but Cyndaquil quick footwork help dodges all the attacks, causing the flames to increase even more

Mew then calls out, "Now that Cyndaquil's fire's back, Bugsy's bug Pokémon don't stand a chance against me!" and Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, Flamethrower!"

Cyndaquil performs Flamethrower and dispatches the copies until the real one remains.

"There, Cyndaquil! That's the real one!" Mew says.

But then Bugsy says, "Scyther, time for Swords Dance!"

Scyther spins around and deflect the flames, shocking Mew. She didn't expect Scyther to use that move. Scyther finds an opening while Cyndaquil is shocked and strikes, knocking Cyndaquil back.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, can you still battle?!"

Cyndaquil quickly gets up.

"Great! That's the spirit!" Mew says.

Soon, she realizes something, "Hey, if we use Flamethrower again, Scyther will just blow it right back at us like before."

Just then, Bugsy says, "It's no use, Mew! I know fire attacks are a bug Pokémon's greatest weakness, that's why Scyther and I came up with a perfect way to repel every one of them. There's no way to get past my Scyther's Swords Dance attack."

"I see now. While Scyther builds up its strength from Swords dance it spins like a fan that repels flamethrowers," Brock says.

"Mew will lose if Cyndaquil's attacks get blown away!" Jen says.

Mew begins to think, "There's gotta be some way to bring that Sycther down." then has an idea, "Wait! That's it!"

"Scyther, end it with Fury Cutter!" Bugsy calls out.

Then Mew calls out, "Okay, get your Flamethrower ready!"

"That's a bad decision," Busy says.

Then calls out, "Scyther, Swords Dance, now!"

Scyther starts spinning around again.

This time, Mew calls out, "Alright, Cyndaquil, jump right above Scyther!"

Cyndaquil does so and jumps high above Scyther

Then Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, point your body straight down!"

Cyndaquil does a nose dive and goes into a corkscrew.

Bugsy is shocked, "What's he...?"

Shocked, Brock calls out, "GUYS! LOOK!

Mew calls out, "Quick Cyndaquil, use your Flamethrower right now!"

Cyndaqul performs Flamethrower and engulfs Scyther into a fiery vortex.

"Scyther!" Bugsy calls out.

Soon, Scyther is burned and dizzy from the attack.

"Quick Cyndaquil! Use your Tackle attack!" Mew calls out.

Cyndaquil charges in and strikes at Scyther with full force, knocking it out cold.

The referee announces, "Scyther is unable to battle! Cyndaquil wins the round! The victory goes to the challenger from Pallet Town!"

"We did it, Cyndaquil!" Mew happily cheers.

Bugsy calls back Scyther while Cyndaquil rushes to Mew in celebration.

"Great job, Scyther. Take a good rest now," Bugsy says.

"That was great thinking, Mew," Misty says.

"Cyndaquil was pretty great, too," Brock says.

Cyndaquil yawns in reply.

Jen giggles, "I think Cyndaquil is tired from the battle.

Mew smiles and says, "Thanks, Cyndaquil. I knew you'd come through."

Pikachu and Eevee happily nod their heads.

Bugsy walks to Mew and says, "Well, Mew. Coming into this match, I thought there was no way Scyther could lose to a fire Pokémon, but you came up with a really great strategy. You deserved to win." and hands Mew the badge. "Here. This Hive badge is yours."

Mew looks to see the Hive Badge has a ladybug pattern, black and red with black dots.

"Thanks a lot, Bugsy. This one means a lot to me," Mew says, and takes the badge.

"Hey, Mew. Maybe if you and your friends and coach ever come back to Azalea Town, you could give me a rematch," Bugsy says

"Sure, that'd be great. But you better watch out, cause I'll be an even better trainer than I am now!" Mew says.

Bugsy chuckles, "And I hope I will be, too."

Then the two trainers shake hands.

"Thanks again, Bugsy," Mew says.

"Good luck, Mew," Bugsy says.

Later in the evening, Mew and the others leave the gym and are planning to head back to Kurt's place.

"Guess after seeing Kurt, it will be time to say goodbye to Azalea Town," Mew says.

"It took a long time to get here, but it sure was worth the trip!" Brock says.

"Yeah," Misty says.

"I'm going to miss it here," Jen says.

"Well, I can't wait to see how the Pokeballs turn out," Tomo says.

"I wonder if Kurt ever figure out more about the GS Ball.

Suddenly, Maisie calls out, "Mew!"

Everyone looks to see Maisie running towards them.

"Hi Brock, Hi Misty, how'd the Gym match go?" Maisie happily says.

"Maisie!" Misty happily says.

"It went great! I won a Hive badge!" Mew says.

"Congratulations," Maisie happily says

"Thank you, Maisie," Mew says.

Then asks, "Hey, did you just come out here to congratulate us?"

"No," Maisie says, and reveals the Pokeballs, "Grandpa said these are for you."

"Hey, look guys! Pokéballs!" Brock says, amazed.

"The ones with the little bubbles are Heavy Balls, and the greenish ones are Lure Balls. The others in the bag behind me are for the rest of you," Maisie says.

"That's great. Thanks," Misty says.

Brock says, "It was really nice of you to bring them to us."

"I think I'm gonna take a Lure Ball," Misty says, taking the Lure Ball.

Then Brock picks up the Heavy Ball, "I think I'd rather take a Heavy Ball."

"And the rest will get Lure Balls," Mew says.

Then Tomo, Jen, and Mew each take a Lure Ball.

"Oh yeah, Grandpa told me to thank you all... for the GS Ball," Maisie says.

"Hey, it was no problem," Mew says.

Then Misty asks, "Has he found out anything new about it since we left?"

The group turns to see the Shiny Slowpoke from before walking towards them.

"Oh, hello again," Mew says.

"It's the Shiny Slowpoke from before," Brock says.

"Wonder why it's here?" Jen asks.

The Shiny Slowpoke walks to Mew and gently rubs her head against Mew's leg.

"Mew, I think this Slowpoke wants to be yours," Misty says.

"I think so," Mew says.

Mew kneels to Slowpoke, "You want to come with me."

"Slowpoke…" (Yes please…) Shiny Slowpoke says.

Mew then brings out her Lure Ball and taps it on Shiny Slowpoke and it goes inside. With a few small shakes, Slowpoke has been caught, and now part of Mew's team.

Mew smiles and says, "Welcome to the group, Slowpoke.

And now, Mew has a brand new friend with the group. Now the group begin to continue their journeys across the Johto Region.

Later in the night, Team Rocket are still in the Azalea Town gym, and filly emerge from the tunnel

"Well, so much for dreams," Jessie says, defeated.

"The way things turned out, it feels more like a nightmare," James says.

And Meowth says, "Well, at least them twerps ain't around to bug us."

However, all the Bug Pokemon from the gym appear in front of Team Rocket and immediately attack them.
