Pokemon: Instantly Kill God-Level Charizard At The Start!

Chapter 46: ch43

MY NEW YEAR GIFT 🍻😅NEW CHAPATER...

Sioux City. The mountain villa where Grandma Bertha was vacationing.

Alex returned Rhydon to Grandma Bertha, saying goodbye as well. Before leaving, Alex wanted to offer some payment to thank Grandma Bertha for her help, but she refused, looking at her granddaughter gently with a smile.

"Alex, if you can, please take good care of my granddaughter in the future."

Take care of her? What does that mean? Alex was confused when he heard this. Did borrowing a Rhydon mean he was to marry her?

"What are you thinking?" Elesa saw the surprised expression on Alex's face and knew he was misunderstanding. Her cheeks turned red as she stomped her foot in mock annoyance.

"Hehe, it's not like that. Elesa mentioned transferring to Jiangnan Pokémon University, so you'll just need to look out for her at school," Grandma Bertha explained, and Alex finally breathed a sigh of relief.

What was Elesa thinking? Although she was beautiful, her slim figure wasn't Alex's type. If it was just a matter of looking out for her at school, that was no big deal.

"She'll be my senior, and she'll be taking care of me," Alex joked.

After saying goodbye to Grandma Bertha and Elesa, Alex knew it was time to leave Sioux City. With Larvitar's evolution complete, he felt ready to head back, especially after spending three days in the Tiger Mountain Secret Realm. He couldn't wait to return to his dorm and relax.

That night, Alex eagerly boarded the bullet train back to school. Before the dormitory closed, he finally lay down on the hard bed in his dorm room.

"Even if it's not a luxury mattress, it still feels great!" Alex remarked as he lay on his bed, exhaling deeply.

Jirachi quietly opened a drawer, picked out a lollipop of its favorite flavor, and enjoyed it happily.

"Darn," Alex realized after a moment of relaxation. He was still alone in the dormitory. The other three roommates hadn't returned yet, leaving him feeling a bit lonely.

"Sleep, sleep. There's still two more days of vacation. I'll visit the car dealership tomorrow and buy a coupe," he decided.

After a refreshing shower, Alex lay on his bed, contemplating Pupitar's upgrade. Larvitar had evolved at level 30, and it could evolve again at level 55. Reaching those experience points required Pupitar to fight in its cocoon form, which was inconvenient.

However, as a quasi-god, Pupitar didn't necessarily need to level up through battles. With time, it would naturally emerge from its cocoon and evolve into Tyranitar. This process was similar to the evolution of Bug-type Pokémon, who evolve over time rather than through traditional battles once they reach their cocoon stage.

According to the Pokémon app, it typically takes at least half a year for Larvitar to evolve into Pupitar and then into Tyranitar. But Alex knew resource availability and Trainer care could speed up this process. With strong resources and talent, Pupitar could evolve in as little as one or two months.

Considering Alex's spike system and waveguide abilities, obtaining resources was relatively easy, so Tyranitar's evolution wasn't far off.

Later, Alex watched an Elite match battle video online. Not long after, his eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted off to sleep. The tablet slipped from his hands onto the bed. Hearing the sound, Jirachi gently placed the tablet on Alex's desk, carefully pulled the quilt over him, and then found a cozy spot beside his pillow to sleep.

The following day, Alex woke up at his usual time, a little past five in the morning. This biological clock was nearly set in stone. Without disturbing Jirachi, he took Charmeleon and Riolu for a morning run and exercise session.

This time, Alex chose a lake near the dormitory, which had a running track around it. At this hour, it was nearly empty, making it a great place for exercise. After running for half an hour, Alex found a spacious area to do some basic strength training.

Charmeleon and Riolu mimicked Alex's movements, doing push-ups and sit-ups. These routine exercises were comprehensive and convenient for practicing different muscle groups by changing techniques.

After a while, Alex sat on the ground to rest. He took the opportunity to check the refreshed spike shelf.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host, the weekly gym-level refresh opportunity has been reset!"

Gym-level refreshes occur once a week, and Elite refreshes happen once a month. Without hesitation, Alex used the refresh.

"Ding! The shelf has been refreshed!"

With a burst of animation, the spike shelf displayed new items: one purple, one blue, two green, and one white. The special refresh opportunity had a high probability of yielding valuable items.

Alex quickly checked the green and white products, finding two special Poké Balls, Rock Balls, Ghost Balls, and a Rock energy cube. These would be useful for Pupitar.
