Two towering pillars of fire erupted, colliding mid-air in a spectacular display of heat and intensity. The battlefield grew hotter with every passing second, the temperature climbing relentlessly.

Both Blaziken and Charizard pushed their limits, using Flame Charge to boost their speed to an extraordinary degree. Their movements became increasingly rapid, each attack delivered with blistering precision.

Before the flames could dissipate, Blaziken vanished in a flash, executing a perfected Quick Attack. Known for its incredible jumping ability—said to scale the height of a 30-story building—Blaziken moved as though teleporting. It reappeared mid-air, ready to strike.

Charizard, however, was no less prepared. Responding to its trainer Tyson's sharp command, it unleashed a Heat Wave. The scorching gust disrupted Blaziken's approach, taking full advantage of Charizard's aerial superiority. No matter how fast Blaziken moved or how high it jumped, attacking Charizard in the air proved a daunting challenge.

"Now, Dragon Rush!" Tyson's voice cut through the heat and tension.

Tyson refused to let Blaziken recover, pressing the offensive with Charizard's devastating attack. Flames enveloped Charizard as it dove with ferocious power.

"Blaziken, counter with Overheat!" Neil's voice rang out, commanding Blaziken to respond.

Blaziken summoned a surge of fiery energy, forming a massive, burning glyph in its path. The explosive collision between Dragon Rush and Overheat produced a deafening roar, sending shockwaves rippling outward. At the epicenter of the explosion, Charizard endured the blast, emerging with minor injuries. However, Blaziken was thrown off balance, struggling to regain its footing.

"Charizard, Heat Wave! Follow it with Air Slash!" Tyson wasted no time, giving precise commands.

The sweltering gust from Charizard's Heat Wave further destabilized Blaziken, leaving it vulnerable. Although Neil ordered a retaliatory Heat Wave, the attempt barely mitigated Charizard's assault. A pair of razor-sharp Air Slashes descended like blades. Blaziken managed to block one but failed to counter the second, which struck with a direct hit.

The force of the attack was amplified by Blaziken's Fighting-type disadvantage, leaving it visibly wounded. An X-shaped cut marred its chest, evidence of Charizard's relentless assault.

Before Blaziken could recover, Charizard launched another Dragon Rush. Flames ignited as it closed the distance, an unstoppable force. Blaziken, despite its indomitable spirit, faltered under the onslaught. Its final attempt to retaliate with Flamethrower fell short, the flames dissipating under Charizard's sheer power. The impact drove Blaziken into the ground, unable to rise.

As Blaziken lay unconscious, its Blaze ability briefly flared but failed to turn the tide. The referee's declaration broke the silence: Neil's Blaziken was unable to battle. Charizard and Tyson were victorious.

A stunned hush fell over the crowd. Few had anticipated such an outcome. Tyson, once considered an underdog, had decisively defeated Neil, a top contender.

Tyson gently recalled his weary Charizard. Despite its injuries and depleted energy, Charizard's resolve had carried them to victory. He departed the battlefield, heading to the Pokémon Center to ensure Charizard could recover before the afternoon matches.

Back in the waiting room, Tyson's reputation had transformed. No one dared underestimate him anymore. His victory had been achieved through raw strength and skill, without any tricks or underhanded tactics. His earlier low-key demeanor now seemed more like a strategic choice, leaving everyone to wonder if he had even more strength yet to reveal.

The elimination rounds continued in the afternoon, where Tyson's prowess allowed him to secure victory effortlessly. Alongside Mizutani Raima and Ayako, Tyson had solidified his place among the top three of the competition.

Later that evening, Tyson returned to his hotel room to strategize for the upcoming Gym battle. He pondered over his next moves, muttering to himself. "If my plan works, the reward I've prepared will surprise...
