Blazing flames engulfed Charizard, forming an aura of heat as it unleashed a torrent of fire toward the Ampharos.

"Ampharos, counter with Thunder!"

Quinn, sensing Charizard's aggressive advance, commanded Ampharos to retaliate with a powerful Thunder attack.

A surge of electric energy erupted, meeting the fiery blast in midair and neutralizing it with a crackling explosion. But before the Thunder could strike, Charizard dodged swiftly, taking to the sky with a powerful beat of its wings.

The next moment, draconic energy enveloped Charizard, forming the shape of a colossal dragon as it descended toward Ampharos. The roar echoed across the battlefield, exuding an aura of dominance that even Ampharos couldn't ignore.

"Ampharos, use Thunderbolt!"

With no time to summon another Thunder, Ampharos released a quick burst of electricity to intercept Charizard's approach.

Quinn smirked, confident that Charizard's close-range attack would activate Ampharos's Static ability, likely paralyzing it. After all, he had kept Ampharos's ability hidden throughout the tournament, and there was no indication that Tyson could know about it.

But Tyson had other plans.

Charizard powered through the Thunderbolt with sheer force, smashing into Ampharos with the full might of its Dragon Rush. An explosion of smoke and sparks erupted as the two Pokémon collided.

"Ampharos, Discharge!" Quinn commanded, attempting to regain control of the match.

But the only thing that emerged from the smoke was a stream of flames—Charizard's Flamethrower.

The searing flames engulfed Ampharos, blasting it back as Charizard followed up with another Flame Charge. Ampharos was lifted into the air by the impact.

Quinn shouted more commands, but Ampharos, overwhelmed by the relentless assault, couldn't respond in time.

Charizard unleashed a final, concentrated Flamethrower, sending Ampharos crashing to the ground.

The referee raised their hand. "Ampharos is unable to battle! Charizard wins!"

Cheers erupted from the audience. Many spectators were left stunned by the outcome, as Quinn had been favored to win.

Tyson wasted no time after his victory. He returned Charizard to its Poké Ball to conserve its energy and headed back to the waiting area to observe the other matches.

With the competition reaching the final 25 participants, the battles had become increasingly intense. Elite Trainers were beginning to reveal their trump cards, giving Tyson a chance to study their strategies and prepare for his upcoming matches.

Later, in his hotel room, Tyson reviewed footage of Sabrina's battles.

"Sabrina and her Kadabra are no joke," he muttered to himself.

Sabrina, the Saffron City Gym Leader, was known for her psychic prowess and devastating team. Trainers rarely defeated her outright, as she often judged whether challengers were worthy of the Marsh Badge based on their performance rather than the battle's outcome.

"Still," Tyson said with a grin, "I'd rather win the badge outright than rely on her mercy."

Charizard, lounging by the window, let out a low growl of agreement. Meanwhile, Sylveon hopped onto the bed, nudging Tyson's arm with its head.

"Don't worry, Sylveon ," Tyson said, patting its soft fur. "You'll have your time to shine in the gym battle. For now, rest up—we've got a tough day ahead."

Morning of the Final Matches

The final elimination rounds began. Tyson's first opponent was Neil, a seasoned Trainer from the Hoenn region and a strong contender for the tournament's top three. Neil's partner Pokémon was Blaziken, a formidable opponent known for its versatility in both physical and special attacks.

"Blaziken, start with Flame Charge!"

Neil wasted no time, commanding Blaziken to dash forward in a blur of fire.

"Charizard, intercept with Flamethrower, then take to the skies!"

Charizard unleashed a torrent of flames, forcing Blaziken to adjust its trajectory. With a powerful beat of its wings, Charizard soared into the air, staying just out of reach.

"Blaziken, Aerial Ace!"

Blaziken leaped high into the air, aiming for Charizard with precision.

"Charizard, use Heat Wave to counter!"

A scorching heat wave radiated from Charizard, halting Blaziken mid-flight and forcing it to land.

"Now, follow up with Dragon Pulse!"

Charizard's draconic energy surged forward, striking Blaziken with immense force and sending it skidding backward.

Neil gritted his teeth. "Blaziken, Overheat!"

Blaziken released an overwhelming blast of fire, engulfing the battlefield in flames.

"Charizard, counter with Flamethrower and end it with Seismic Toss!"

Charizard's Flamethrower collided with Overheat, neutralizing the attack before diving toward Blaziken. With incredible strength, Charizard grabbed Blaziken, soared high into the air, and executed a powerful Seismic Toss...
