Chapter 77: Elite four part 2
As then everyone closer they eyes, a they saw that the Shiny Yamask started to evolve mid battle, as it then finished
The battlefield shimmered with a radiant glow as Haru's shiny Yamask was enveloped in a brilliant light. The crowd fell silent, their excitement mounting as they realized what was happening. Mid-battle evolution—a rarity and a spectacle in its own right.
The glow intensified, and Yamask's form began to change, growing larger and more imposing. When the light faded, standing in Yamask's place was a shiny Cofagrigus, its golden, eerie coffin-like body gleaming brilliantly under the stadium lights. Its four shadowy arms extended outward, exuding a ghostly presence.
Haru smirked as he admired his newly evolved Pokémon. "Well, this just got more interesting. Let's show them what you've got, Cofagrigus!"
Will raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by the development. "A mid-battle evolution? Impressive. But it won't be enough to stop my Gallade. Gallade, use Swords Dance to boost your power!"
Gallade spun gracefully, its blades glowing with heightened energy as its attack stat surged.
Haru, unfazed, gave his command. "Cofagrigus, let's start strong! Use Shadow Ball!"
Cofagrigus summoned a dark, crackling orb of ghostly energy between its shadowy arms and hurled it at Gallade. The attack was fast, but Gallade deftly dodged it with its enhanced speed.
Will seized the opportunity. "Gallade, close the distance and use Night Slash!"
Gallade dashed toward Cofagrigus with blinding speed, its blade glowing with dark energy. The attack struck Cofagrigus, dealing significant damage but not enough to bring it down.
Haru's grin widened. "Perfect. Cofagrigus, activate your ability—Mummy!"
As Gallade made contact, a ghostly aura surrounded it, and its ability was replaced with Mummy. Will's confident expression faltered as he realized the implications.
"Gallade's Steadfast is gone?!" he muttered in disbelief.
Haru nodded. "That's right. Now your Gallade won't get any speed boosts from flinches or its usual tactics. Cofagrigus, follow up with Will-O-Wisp!"
Cofagrigus unleashed a spectral blue flame that struck Gallade, inflicting a burn and cutting its attack power in half.
Will clenched his fists, clearly frustrated. "Gallade, don't give up! Use Psycho Cut!"
Gallade launched a wave of psychic energy from its blade, hitting Cofagrigus and dealing solid damage.
Haru remained calm. "Cofagrigus, let's end this. Use Hex!"
The shiny Cofagrigus's eyes glowed ominously as it unleashed a powerful burst of ghostly energy. Thanks to Gallade's burn status, Hex dealt massive damage, overwhelming the Psychic/Fighting-type Pokémon and sending it crashing to the ground.
The referee raised his flag. "Gallade is unable to battle! The winner is Cofagrigus!"
The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, amazed by Haru's strategic use of Cofagrigus's evolution and abilities.
Will recalled Gallade, a look of respect on his face. "You're a remarkable trainer, Haru. It's been a long time since I've had this much fun in a battle. But I still have more to show. Go,Grumpig!"
Haru prepared himself, the intensity of the match only fueling his determination. "Let's see what you've got, Will. Cofagrigus, you're up!"
Haru looked at Will Grumpig as he spoke. "You really gonna have got hopes up on your last Pokémon and of all the Physic types of is Grumpig".
Will just looked at him as he spoke a bit of embarrassment. "I picked the wrong Pokeball when coming here ok, original it was going to be a Hatterene".
Haru couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head at Will's unexpected confession. "Well, that's certainly one way to keep things interesting. But hey, I won't underestimate it. Even a Grumpig can turn the tide if used right."
Will adjusted his mask, trying to regain some composure. "Don't take Grumpig lightly. It may not have been my first choice, but it's more than capable of holding its own. Let's show them, Grumpig!"
Grumpig bounced lightly on its tail, its pearls glimmering as it prepared for battle.
Haru looked at his Cofagrigus, still standing strong. "Alright, Cofagrigus, let's wrap this up. Use Shadow Ball!"
Cofagrigus formed another orb of ghostly energy, firing it directly at Grumpig.
Will smirked, his confidence returning. "Grumpig, use Magic Coat!"
As the Shadow Ball approached, a shimmering barrier of psychic energy surrounded Grumpig, reflecting the attack right back at Cofagrigus. The ghostly energy hit Cofagrigus, dealing significant damage.
Haru's eyes narrowed as he analyzed the situation. "Clever move. I see you're not going down without a fight. But two can play at that game. Cofagrigus, use Will-O-Wisp!"
Blue flames erupted from Cofagrigus, heading straight for Grumpig.
Will grinned. "Grumpig, Bounce!"
Grumpig launched itself into the air with surprising agility, dodging the Will-O-Wisp and positioning itself above Cofagrigus.
Haru quickly reacted. "Cofagrigus, use Protect!"
As Grumpig came crashing down with its Bounce, Cofagrigus surrounded itself with a shimmering green barrier, nullifying the attack.
Haru then saw his chance. "Now, Cofagrigus, counter with Hex!"
Cofagrigus unleashed another burst of ghostly energy, catching Grumpig as it landed. The attack hit hard, leaving Grumpig wobbling but still standing.
Will clenched his fists. "Grumpig, we're not done yet! Use Psychic!"
Grumpig's eyes glowed as it sent a powerful psychic wave at Cofagrigus.
Haru smirked. "Cofagrigus, use Destiny Bond!"
As the psychic energy hit, Cofagrigus glowed with an eerie purple light, linking its fate with Grumpig's. The psychic attack finally brought down Cofagrigus, but the Destiny Bond activated, pulling Grumpig down with it.
The referee raised both flags. "Both Grumpig and Cofagrigus are unable to battle!"
Haru and Will recalled their Pokémon, with Will sighing deeply. "Well, that's it for me. Looks like you're moving on to the next member of the Elite Four."
Haru smiled as he stepped forward, offering a handshake. "That was a good battle, Will. Even if Grumpig wasn't your first choice, you still put up a great fight."
Will accepted the handshake with a nod. "Thanks, Haru. Good luck with the rest of the Elite Four. You're going to need it."
The crowd erupted into cheers as Haru was declared the winner of his first match in the Champion League. Haru looked up at the stands, where Ash, Misty, and the others were cheering him on. He smiled, determined to keep moving forward.
"One down, three to go," Haru muttered to himself as he prepared for the next challenge.
The atmosphere in the Elite Four VIP room was charged with anticipation as they watched Haru's battle highlights replay on the screen.
Lance leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, a faint smile on his face. "He's not holding back, is he? Haru's really gunning for revenge after what happened 6 years ago." His voice carried a mix of amusement and respect.
Koga, ever the composed ninja, stood up silently, adjusting his scarf. "Tomorrow, it'll be my turn to test him. Let's see if the boy has the wits to get past my strategies." Without another word, he left the room, his presence as fleeting as a shadow.
Bruno, polishing one of his Pokéballs, let out a deep laugh. "If Haru does make it past Koga, he'll face me. I'm curious to see how he handles my team's raw power. But Koga's not an easy hurdle. The kid's got guts, I'll give him that."
Karen, however, had a very different energy. She leaned forward in her chair, zooming in on Haru's face on the monitor. A smirk played on her lips, her gaze playful yet predatory. "Well, well," she purred, tracing the outline of Haru's picture with her finger. "He's quite the interesting one, isn't he? Already got Clair, Whitney, and that Rose girl falling for him. Maybe I should spice things up and see if I can add myself to that list."
Bruno glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "Karen, you're supposed to challenge him in battle, not... whatever this is."
Karen chuckled, her smirk widening. "Who says I can't do both? Besides, I like to keep things... entertaining."
Lance sighed, shaking his head. "Karen, focus on the battles. Haru's got enough on his plate without you throwing him off with your games."
Karen simply winked. "Oh, Lance, you know me. I'm just here to have fun. If he's strong enough to reach me, then he deserves all the attention he gets."
The room fell silent for a moment, each member of the Elite Four lost in their own thoughts about the challenger steadily making his way toward them. Lance broke the silence, his tone serious. "No matter what happens, we'll give him battles he'll never forget. Let's see if Haru truly has what it takes to face me at the end."
Karen, still smirking, leaned back in her chair. "Oh, I have no doubt he'll make it. The real question is... in what condition?"
As the night deepened, the Elite Four prepared for what promised to be a thrilling series of battles, each one eager to see how far Haru would go.
Late they night Haru was in his room with his Pokemon, as he was checking his Pokedex, as Clari, Rose, Whitney and Suicune was with Haru, as they check all of Haru pokèmon, as Haru checks all his Pokemon

Haru them closed his Pokedex, as he looked at all of this Pokemon.
Clair then looked at Haru as she spoke. "Why does Swanpert have Two Moveset".
Haru looker at whe and spoke. "It depends if I want or don't want to mega evolve him in a battle".
As Haru closed his Pokédex, he leaned back on the bed, glancing at his Pokémon surrounding him. Each of them radiated a unique strength, reflecting the bond they shared with their trainer. Clair, sitting beside him, seemed genuinely intrigued by his strategy.
"So, you've planned specific movesets for certain situations?" she asked, her tone carrying a mix of curiosity and admiration.
Haru nodded. "Exactly. Swampert's a powerhouse, especially after Mega Evolving. But sometimes, it's better to keep him in his regular form and use him as a utility Pokémon. That's why I have two movesets. Stealth Rock can be a game-changer in certain matches, but it's useless if I'm aiming for pure offense."
Whitney chimed in, looking at the screen of the Pokédex. "You've really thought this through, haven't you? All your Pokémon seem to have such well-rounded strategies."
Rose added with a playful smile, "And here I thought you just relied on brute force like a certain someone we know." She glanced teasingly at Clair, who raised an eyebrow in mock offense.
Suicune, who was resting gracefully nearby, observed Haru with a calm expression. "It's impressive," she said telepathically, her voice resonating in everyone's mind. "You've tailored your strategies not just around your strengths, but also to adapt to your opponent's style. That shows a deep understanding of the bond between trainer and Pokémon."
Haru gave a small smile, scratching the back of his head. "I've learned a lot from my battles. Every loss, every win, they've all taught me something. And with each new challenge, I try to be better—for my team and myself."
Clair crossed her arms, her expression thoughtful. "And Garchomp? Why have you kept Substitute in its moveset? Wouldn't something like Rock Slide or Iron Head be more versatile?"
Haru shrugged. "Substitute allows me to set up Swords Dance safely, especially against opponents who rely on status moves or indirect attacks. Once Garchomp is fully powered up, it's nearly unstoppable."
Rose chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You really don't leave anything to chance, do you?"
Haru looked at her, his expression serious. "When you're aiming for the top, you can't afford to. The Elite Four and Lance won't go easy on me. I need to be ready for anything."
Whitney leaned back with a sigh. "Well, we'll all be cheering for you, Haru. You've got this."
Suicune stood and walked closer, its piercing eyes meeting Haru's. "You have the heart of a true trainer. No matter the outcome, your journey will inspire others. Remember that."
Haru gave a determined nod. "Thanks, Suicune. Thanks, everyone. I won't let you down."
Meowth then went to Haru. "Will Boss, I gotta say one thing, and that is you really made the most improvement for me".
Haru looked at Meowth as he spoke. "Oh really".
Meowth smirked as he looked at Haru. "Yeah boss, I went being in Team Rocket Trio with Jessie and James, to you discovering a Figthing type evolution for me and making me evolve into it, and now I am more stronger then I ever was".
Suicune looked at Meowth as she transformed into her human from. "You have come very far Perfi- sorry I mean Meowth".
Meowth srugged looking the god in the room. "No bros Suicune".
Haru then looked at Jessie and James as they were making something. "Um what are you two doing".
James shows a Mini Haru. "Merchandise of you, we have been selling this the whole league, me and Jessie have enough to open up a small business with the amount of Money".
Jessie then spoke. "It is not just you, But Ash, That Leon Guy, Harrison, Gary, Silver, basically all the important trainer's that fought here, yes we even made one about Rock".
Haru blinked at the duo, utterly bewildered. "Wait, you've been making merchandise of me and selling it this whole time?"
James nodded enthusiastically, holding up the small figurine. "Of course! Look at this craftsmanship, Haru. The attention to detail is impeccable. We even made sure to capture your signature pose from the match against Will."
Jessie smirked, crossing her arms. "It's not like you'll get royalties or anything, but think of it as free publicity. Plus, we're giving people a little piece of history. Everyone loves collecting figurines of their favorite trainers."
Haru groaned, rubbing his temples. "You two never stop scheming, do you? First, you were trying to steal Pokémon, and now you're trying to monetize me. What's next, a full-blown Haru clothing line?"
Jessie's eyes lit up. "Now that you mention it—"
"No," Haru interrupted firmly, pointing a finger at her. "Absolutely not."
Suicune, now fully in her human form, chuckled softly as she examined one of the figurines. "I must admit, they're rather well-made. Though, I can't help but wonder… why do I not have a figurine? I am a Legendary Pokémon, after all."
James grinned sheepishly. "Well, you see, we didn't know how to approach making a figurine of you without making it look like we were trying to capitalize on a literal deity. Bad karma and all that."
Meowth burst into laughter, patting Suicune on the back. "Don't worry, Suicune. Once Haru wins the league, you'll probably get your own merch line, too. 'The Graceful Suicune'—it'll sell like hotcakes!"
Jessie nodded. "Oh, definitely. And if Haru does win, we're planning a special champion edition of his figurine. Limited stock, of course."
Haru threw his hands up in exasperation. "You two are impossible!"
Whitney, who had been silently observing the chaos, suddenly burst out laughing. "You know, Haru, you might as well embrace it. You're practically a celebrity now. Besides, it's kind of flattering, don't you think?"
Clair smirked, leaning against the wall. "Flattering? Maybe. But if they're making money off of him, Haru should at least get a cut."
Rose chimed in, teasingly. "You could use that money to buy us all something nice. Maybe a spa day?"
Haru shot her a flat look. "Oh sure, let's all just encourage Team Rocket's schemes. That'll definitely end well."
Meowth grinned, giving Haru a thumbs-up. "Don't worry, boss. We'll make you proud. Or rich. Whichever comes first."
As Haru sighed in defeat, Jessie and James exchanged triumphant smirks, already brainstorming their next big merchandise idea. Despite the ridiculousness of it all, Haru couldn't help but feel a small smile tug at his lips. After all, no matter how strange or chaotic things got, this quirky group of friends always made the journey unforgettable.
Haru then remembered something, as he then sent out his Hisuian Zoroark who looks mad. "I am sorry buddy, here let me check with movest
Haru then cheeks his Pokédex

Rose just looked at Haru. "How do you forget one of your Pokémon".
Haru looked at her a bit embarrassed. "I had a brain fart ok".
Rose chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You're lucky you've got some of the most powerful Pokémon on your team. But hey, I get it, Haru. Sometimes you get so caught up in the moment, you forget to check on the ones you've trained so hard for."
Haru sighed, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, I guess I've been a little distracted. But Hisuian Zoroark's got so much potential. I just didn't want to mess up his chances in the tournament."
Zoroark, still looking a bit frustrated, crossed its arms and shot Haru a glare, clearly not impressed with the way things had been going. Haru winced but smiled, knowing that his Pokémon had a bit of an attitude. "Don't worry, I'm going to make it right. You've got the power to show them all what you've got. Let's get ready for your next battle."
Rose, still amused, crossed her arms. "You'd better. I can already tell that Zoroark's not going to let you forget this little mishap."
Whitney, always the optimist, grinned at Haru. "It's okay, Haru. We all have our moments. The important part is that you recognize it and keep moving forward."
Clair added with a smirk, "And now that you've got Hisuian Zoroark's moveset ready, there's no way you're going to be caught off guard again."
Suicune, who had been silently observing, nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Every trainer makes mistakes, but it's how they learn and grow that matters most."
Haru nodded, now feeling more reassured. "Right. Thanks, everyone. I won't let this happen again."
He looked at Zoroark, his expression turning more determined. "Alright, buddy. We've got this. Let's show them how it's done!"
Zoroark gave him a skeptical glance, but with a sharp nod, it seemed to acknowledge that it was ready. Haru returned the Pokémon to its Pokéball with a smile, feeling more confident and ready for the challenges ahead in the Champions League.
