"Isn't it obvious?" Ethan said, gently cradling the Charmander. "Squirtle represents water, and Charmander represents fire."

Charmander, exhausted from hatching, had already fallen asleep in Ethan's arms. Its tail, which should have sported a small flame, was notably bare. Ethan frowned, momentarily concerned. In Pokémon lore, a Charmander's tail flame was tied to its vitality.

"Could something be wrong with its genetics?" James asked, noticing Ethan's expression.

Ethan shook his head. "Its heartbeat is strong, and it's eating fine. It might just be an environmental factor. We'll monitor it closely."

"Technically, it's inspired by dragons," Ethan replied with a smirk. "But don't let appearances fool you. Ever heard of evolution?"

The room buzzed with curiosity.

"Evolution? Does that mean it'll grow wings and turn into something like a Western genetic dragon?" James asked.

Ethan's smirk widened. "Exactly. With time and the right conditions, this little guy will surpass any genetic dragon on the market."

His voice brimmed with confidence. While others doubted the Charmander's potential, Ethan could already envision its future. Someday, this small, unassuming lizard would evolve into a mighty Charizard, and with a few system enhancements, it would be unlike anything the world had ever seen.
