Pokemon - A real story

There were 2 tide battle options. Both of them were in the Kanto region. One was on the seafoam islands and another was in Narita city. Now, Seafoam Island was popular as it was said that Articuno lived there. Yet, none of the people had seen it yet. Narita Island was not close to any gym cities. It was a very big city with lots of population but since Narita was not close to any gym cities, it was also very dangerous.

During the tide battle, if the city, town, or village could not handle the tide, other cities would also lend their help. However, since Narita City was not close to any gym cities or any city, it was difficult to get any help.

On the other hand, since Seafoam Island was very popular, there were surrounding islands that were filled with a lot of population and strong trainers. However, Axel also didn't want to go to Seafoam Island as the grade of the tide was higher than compared to Narita city.

The grade for Narita city was Grade C of high level tide while the grade for Seafoam island was Grade B of high level. A difference in a single grade could mean a lot in the tide battles.

In high-level tide, Pokemon from king rank to pseudo-champion rank might appear. That was why Hector was so angry. Part of Hector's anger was to act in front of the league. The team had trained hard for the tide battles and there were multiple trainers who had ranked their Pokemon to king rank. Hector, Troy, and Sam had also done a very good job in this.

Also, there were newcomers like Mia, Jin, and Krishna. These 3 were also very powerful, especially Krishna who came from Blue's team. Krishna had multiple king-rank Pokemons and one of his Pokemon had recently ranked up to pseudo-champion rank.

If they were to face a pseudo-champion rank Pokemon in the tide, then the Pokemon of Krishna would be very helpful.

"I know that the death rate might be low as a 20% death rate is very high for me and it could accomplish it. But this is my mercenary team and I don't want any of them to die. So, let's make a plan on how to do it but first of all, I want to know where would be selected to defend."

"Sir, I think we should focus on Seafoam island.", said Krishna.

"Can you tell me the reason?"

"First of all is the support that we can get. This increases our combat force while in Narita city, it would be the exact opposite. Since there are no cities around Narita city, the number of wild Pokemons that we will face will be very high and I don't think that our 50k members would be able to handle it.

Secondly, even though the grade of Seafoam Island is high, it is very unlikely that we will face any pseudo-champion rank Pokemons. We might just face a rather huge number of king-rank Pokemons which we can handle.

And finally, the seafoam island is an island, and most of the time we will be facing water-type Pokemons. We recently have made an electric type team and there are also flying type team. Both of these teams would make it easier for us to tackle the tide in that place."

"Hmm, that is some good point. Do any of you have anything against Seafoam island?", asked Axel.

"None of them raised their hand and the decision was done."

"Then it is decided. We will move towards Seafoam Island. It has been estimated that the tide will start after 1 month. That means 30 days but it could also start a week later or before. So, let's pack up our bags and go to the Seafoam island. Tell the team to move towards the island. I will only give them 3 days to get there.

Ashmita, you will send a formal letter to the league telling them of our choice. All of you will go to the seafoam island and then talk with the mayor of the city. I will be arriving a day late and I want all the reports of the island as soon as possible.

Also, the island is very cold, so we might also be facing some ice-type Pokemons. So, we need to make a plan for it."

As per the game, Articuno did live there but in the real world, he was not sure. One of the reasons, he chose this island was also due to Articuno. Axel had a strong feeling that he would meet it on the island. There was a whole history of Articuno and that island but being a legendary Pokemon, Articuno would not show its face to the common people all the time.

Axel was going to go into full training mode for his Pokemons. After taking the suggestion of Blue, he came to realize that he must have some Pokemons that should specialize in tide battle.

Right now, he was thinking of an all-rounder but later it would have to change. One of the Pokemon that came to his mind was Venusaur. It focused on healing abilities and poison abilities. Now, if it could do it on a larger scale, then it would be fantastic.

He had a move planned but as of right now, Axel didn't think that Venusaur could do it. It would need ample preparations and Venusaur had not even learned it.

The reason why he wanted to go there late was to meet his family. It had been something since he had seen his family and he wanted to do it right now. The tide battle could go on for a month. Also, after the kidnapping incident, he wanted to be close to his family as much as possible.

"Axel, so you are going to fight in another tide battle?", asked his mother in a worried tone.

Tide battles were very risky. Everybody knew that. Being a mother, she didn't want Axel to participate in it but she also knew that she could not hold him for too long. Axel had chosen this path and he must do it.

Noah on the other side was very proud of his niece. After becoming the mayor of the city, Noah had been very busy for a couple of months but now he was mostly free. His brother was now forcing him to get married as now he could walk properly and was also a mayor.

But Noah didn't want to do it. He was almost 40 years old and he didn't think that he would get any girl to get married.

Coming home, Axel always felt a level of peace that he would not feel anywhere. He just went to the garden and just slept under the sun. The sun was not too hot and it was the start of the winter season.

"Brother, do you think that anyone would want to marry me? I am already 40 years old now. I have become old to be married."

"Brother, if you don't even try then how can you know? Having a family is very important."

"You are my family and I consider, Axel, Agnes, and Aurthur as my sons and daughters."

The discussion was going on but Axel was not concentrating on any of those. Axel was thinking about the tide battle. There were going to be 5 key Pokemons in this tide battle.

The first was going to be Shedinja as it would be dealing with ghost and dark-type Pokemons. The second would be Charizard as it was a fire-type Pokemon and it would be effective against ice types. It could also use the move 'Transform' to fight pseudo-champion rank Pokemon. The third will be Venusaur as it would be the healer of the team. Fourth would be Nidoking as its area effect poison attack would be deadly. And the fifth would be Beedrill due to its domain specialty.

There were other Pokemons like Slowemperor for ice-type moves and their ability. Mamoswine for its ice-type moves and defense. Alakazam for quick teleportation, Gogoat for protection, Pidgeot for flying type Pokemons and Steelix for defense and area effect moves.

But Axel believed that these 5 would be vital and he should concentrate on these Pokemons for tide battles in the future.

One of the other reasons why he came here was to drop his new Pokemons like Wartortle and Magnemite. They would not be participating in this battle cause their power level was too low for this tide battle.

For the young Pokemons, he just hoped that they would get enough experience for the next tide battle.

The other reason why he came here was to train himself and his Pokemons. He had just reached pseudo-king rank and had not done anything after it. He also had to train his Pokemons this month.

The final reason why he came here was to hatch Aron. Aron was only a couple of days away from hatching and he wanted to see it.

The first impression was always important and he wanted a safe environment when it hatched.

Axel had a strong feeling that Mamoswine, Nidoking, and Gyarados were going to rank up very soon. So, he wanted to focus on them. Especially Nidoking reaching tier 3 king rank would be a huge help for Axel in the tide battle.

Nidoking had actually taken a lot to reach this stage. This was the first official Pokemon of Axel and it was one of the strongest Pokemon in his arsenal.

Axel had told it to not learn any new moves but to try to complement and upgrade all the moves that it had learned cause it had learned a lot of different types of moves.

"Guys, let's train our hearts out.", shouted Axel as all of his Pokemons roared to train harder.

It had been around 2 days and the group had started to train. Axel had made a training plan for every Pokemons and they were doing their best. He was closely observing Mamoswine as he felt that it would rank up to tier 2 in any second.

The mastery of ancient power was very high and it had reached 95%. Unfortunately, after reaching 95% it didn't increase. So, Axel told it to not worry about it and train in other things.

'Does that mean that a king-rank Pokemon cannot fully master ancient power?', thought Axel.

'Wait.'

'A Pokemon could only master 'Ancient power' when it reaches pseudo-champion rank.'

Ding!

The host is correct. A Pokemon could only reach it when it reaches pseudo-champion rank but since the foundation of all your Pokemons are solid, they could also do it when they are in tier 3 king rank.

He finally had an answer. Axel had realized that the system would only answer if he was sure of himself.

"Can you tell me what will be the changes after it masters it?", asked Axel but there was no answer.

The system was really mysterious but since Mamoswine was already a tier 1 king rank Pokemon close to reaching towards tier 2 king rank, it would only need a few months to reach that stage.

"Mamoswine, you will have to wait for a few months to reach that level. So, try to have patience. As of right now, why don't we train in your ice-type moves."

Somehow Axel believed that training in typing would be very helpful till the mastery of ancient power reached 100%. It was just his instinct.

Axel was really interested in what would happen after the mastery reached 100%.
