Ethan did not know exactly how powerful Kai had become after receiving blessings or whatever boost he had gotten. But from that one blow earlier, he could already make a clear guess. That punch alone had shaken his bones and almost crushed his guard. It was enough for Ethan to understand the gap between them.

Kai stood somewhere around the level of a King Knight, but he had not yet stepped into the realm of an Emperor Knight.

The difference between the stage of an Emperor Knight and a King Knight was an enormous chasm, and Ethan could sense that Kai had not reached that point yet. That realization gave Ethan a little breathing room and a sliver of confidence.

He quickly activated the combined power of all family.

And now, with Rina by his side and the growth of the children and his other wives, their combined power climbed close to the peak of the King Knight stage. The strength surged like a violent tide.

A surge of mana flooded into Ethan's body. It stirred like a storm, heating up his core and making his vision shake. His breathing grew heavy for a moment.

His muscles tensed and his heartbeat thundered in his ears as the power rushed through him like a floodgate opening.

Kai appeared above Ethan with terrifying speed. His figure blurred through the air, and he lifted his arm high to deliver a brutal punch.

Not only could Kai now use magic freely, but his physical strength had also grown incredibly strong. His arm came crashing down like a falling mountain.

The punch slammed into the ground where Ethan had been lying just seconds before.

The impact shook the earth violently. The ground cracked and exploded with terrifying force. The air itself split from the pressure, sending a blast wave outward. Dust and rocks shot into the air like bullets. But to Kai's shock, Ethan was no longer there.

Ethan's calm voice echoed from behind him.

"Are you searching for me?"

Kai's eyes widened. He turned sharply toward the voice, but before he could even raise his guard, the sole of Ethan's foot crashed into his face with a crushing impact.

The kick sent powerful shockwaves tearing through the air. Kai's body was flung away like a rag doll. He skidded across the ground for several meters, ripping the earth apart as drag marks trailed behind him. He finally slammed into a huge tree. The trunk exploded upon impact and shattered into countless pieces.

Kai groaned in pain and forced himself back up, wiping the blood from his lips. He barely had a second to catch his breath before Ethan was already in front of him again. Ethan's sword was raised high. His eyes locked onto Kai with cold determination.

In a blink, Kai vanished.

"Crimson Blink," Kai muttered from somewhere behind.

Ethan's strike cut empty space. The lingering destruction from the swing shook the entire place. The wind trembled. The dust storm around them spun like a vortex.

"This spatial magic is troublesome," Ethan said to himself. His eyes scanned the battlefield quickly, searching for the smallest disturbance in mana around him.

Catching Kai's presence behind him, Ethan dashed forward like a missile. His body tore through the air and shook the battlefield with his speed. The ground cracked under every step he took.

"How... How did you become this strong?" Kai growled with frustration. His voice trembled with disbelief and anger. "Just how?"

Kai roared and unleashed his magic. The same binding spell that once restrained Ethan erupted again, but this time it was far stronger and more vicious. Dark chains of energy shot out from the ground like spears and wrapped around Ethan's limbs and torso, locking him down with heavy force.

Ethan did not back down. He struggled against the pressure but the chains dug into his skin.

BOOOOOOM!

A terrifying force slammed him deep into the ground and sent him crashing into a crater. The earth split open under him. The sound echoed through the entire battlefield.

Following it, a huge rain of spells descended from the sky. Kai raised his hands and cast them one after another.

"Hellfire Meteor!"

"Thunder Fang!"

"Blaze Tornado!"

"Ice Shatterfall!"

"Karma Destruction Cannon!"

The sky burned with crimson flames. Massive fire meteors rained down and exploded. Spiraling tornadoes of fire tore through the land. Jagged spears of ice crashed down like falling mountains. Bolts of thunder split the sky open. A blinding energy cannon blasted the center of the crater.

The explosions shook the earth violently. The ground trembled and blasted apart again and again. Trees were uprooted and thrown into the air. The shockwaves flattened everything within hundreds of meters. The battlefield became a storm of destruction.

Kai laughed loudly.

"Hmmm. Insolent fool. Now... not even your skeleton would be left behind. Hahaha!"

He let out a sigh of relief. But then a scream shook the entire place.

ROOARRRR!!!

A dragon's roar burst from Ethan's body. The roar was so loud and furious that it shook the ground and sky. Light shaped like a mighty dragon exploded around him.

With that force, Ethan shattered the binding magic. The chains cracked like glass and broke apart into dust. Shockwaves burst outward in every direction. Dust, stones, and debris were blown away violently as the pressure cleared everything around him.

BOOOM!

A massive cloud of smoke and dust rose into the air. When the cloud slowly faded away, an explosion of flame erupted from the crater, sending a huge wave of scorching fire outward.

"WAhaaat!!" Kai gasped and stumbled back, feeling the intense heat hitting his skin.

KUUUUUU!

From the center of the huge crater, a figure slowly stepped out. Flames wrapped around his body. The moment his feet touched the ground, the earth under them began to burn.

The soil melted and turned into glowing lava. The air around trembled and started to burn from the heat.

And at the center stood a man. His hair had turned crimson like burning embers. A draconic mask covered the upper part of his face.

Scales spread across his body like armor giving him a inferno dragon vestige.
