Chapter 329: Seal Released (Subscription Requested)

Despite the gentle, intimate gesture of the small hand resting on the back of his head, Pei Yan did not feel any warmth. Instead, his heart screamed alarms, and cold sweat trickled down his forehead. He knew who had come!

"You've finally escaped!" came Pei Jin's voice, complex in tone, from behind.

"That's right!"

Upon hearing this conversation, Pei Yan secretly glanced over, only to see the Origin Maiden who had previously been stuffed into a sealed box, now set free. She was originally stark naked, but now she wore the same clothing as her elder sister, and opened her arms expectantly towards Pei Jin.

Pei Jin shook his head in resignation and likewise opened her arms. The two embraced tightly.

Watching the Origin Maiden, like a kitten seeking favor, nuzzle against her elder sister's chin while the sister comfortingly stroked her hair, Pei Yan felt a strange sensation rise in his mind. His brain momentarily crashed, leaving him unclear about the situation.

Just as his thoughts were a chaotic mess, a series of coughs echoed from all around. He hurriedly turned towards the sound, seeing most of the people around still frozen in place. Meanwhile, Gu Shenghui, Leng Yang, and other high-ranking investigators, along with Mr. Mu and several Black-robed Men, had all escaped the crisis, desperately adjusting their breathing and inner forces while staring with terror at the bizarre scene behind Pei Yan.

"Hold on a moment, I have some matters to settle, some people to deal with, and something to reclaim!" Perceiving the odd atmosphere, the Origin Maiden gently pushed away Pei Jin, pinched her cheek lightly, and said with a bright smile.

After speaking, she first looked at Pei Yan, who was turning his head towards her, walked to his side, and flicked his dull forehead with her finger, then turned her gaze to the crowd and laughed, "No wonder you're the backbone of the investigation team and the divine desire, I didn't expect you to break free of my control so quickly; you really deserve a candy as a reward."

Speaking of which, she turned out her pockets playfully and stuck out her tongue, "Unfortunately, I don't have any candy with me now!"

Watching her act this way, the people in the room were momentarily at a loss for how to respond. The awkwardness was broken by Gu Shenghui, who, seeing the intimacy between the Origin Maiden and Pei Jin, ventured a question with a hopeful mindset, "May I...?"

"No, no, no, no!" Before Gu Shenghui could finish, the Origin Maiden raised her right index finger, placed it on her lips, and made a silencing gesture before looking towards the divine desire faction and chuckling, "It's not time for you to speak yet, I have things to do, stay here obediently for now, I'll spare you considering your involvement in my escape."

Then, the Origin Maiden raised her front leg and lowered her back foot, and her figure appeared before Mr. Mu's group. Pei Yan was once again shocked; it wasn't just a matter of speed but more like teleportation. Being able to restrict everything around her and teleport instantly, with just these two abilities, she stood in a domain of invincibility, and this was her just after escaping after years of being sealed. How powerful was she twelve years ago! And how strong were those who hunted and sealed her?

The maiden didn't care about the shock her actions caused all the attendees; with a look of pure innocence, she strolled past Mr. Mu without even a glance at the man now drenched in sweat and trembling uncontrollably, stopping silently beside the Italian Camilo, who was still immobilized, and gently touched his forehead, murmuring, "You have something that belongs to me; it's time to return it to its owner."

Saying so, her finger gently traced downwards until it paused at the chest and suddenly plunged into the opponent's body, her delicately petite hand instantly piercing through Camilo's heart. With a twist and a churn, a still-beating heart, along with the blood spraying out, was pulled out by her hand.

What horrified Pei Yan was that even then, Camilo's face of terror and the suspended blood remained in a slow, frozen state until the Origin Maiden walked away with the heart and casually flicked his body. Only then did Camilo cough up a mouthful of blood, his face twisted, and his knees buckled, crashing to the ground.

But the Origin Maiden paid no mind to this; with fingertips sharp as knives, she sliced open the heart in her hand, and a brilliant azure Origin Fragment tumbled into her hands, instantly dissolving into a void and merging into her body.

Having completed this task, the Origin Maiden exhaled long, snapped her fingers, and the ground shook slightly. Dozens of tree vines burst forth, weaving together to form three lush, exquisitely crafted vine chairs in no time. Then she turned back, smiled at Pei Jin, and gestured for her to sit before she sat herself down on the central chair.

Summoned, Pei Jin walked to Pei Yan's side and patted her still-dazed brother's head. Pei Yan, seeing his sister intending to approach, grabbed her sleeve anxiously and advised, "Sis! She...!"

"It's okay, if something were to happen, you wouldn't be able to hide; come along with me." Pei Jin comfortingly grasped Pei Yan's wrist.

Holding Pei Yan's hand, she led him to the Origin Maiden's side, pressed her reluctant brother onto the seat next to the Maiden, and then sat on the other side. She crossed her legs, rested her hand on her knee, and sighed, "What are you planning next? A massacre?"

"Of course, over the years, some scores have to be settled, one by one." The Origin Maiden said, turning her head to the highly alert, tense Pei Yan next to her and chuckling, "Did my earlier actions frighten you? Don't worry, I won't cut open your heart."

Seeing Pei Yan's face changing colors, startled and alarmed, the Origin Maiden burst into laughter. After laughing, she clapped her hands and called loudly, "Stop hiding; you can come out now!"

Upon hearing this, everyone looked around following the voice. Moments later, three figures moved in the bamboo forest not far away, and soon the three people crossed the crowd and came before the Origin Maiden, kneeling on one knee.

"It's you?" Pei Yan raised his eyebrows slightly, feeling a hint of surprise, but upon reflection, it was rational, as the newcomers were none other than Su Xiang and his two subordinates. Seeing the three unharmed, Pei Yan coldly chuckled inside; no wonder his figure wasn't seen when the incident occurred—he had hidden early, waiting to see how things developed, daring not to show himself until the Origin body took control.

"You've done well; this is part of the reward I promised you before!" The Origin Maiden looked at Su Xiang and his men kneeling before her, dropped her playful demeanor, and with a casual wave, the Origin Fragment taken from Camilo floated before Su Xiang.

Upon hearing this, Su Xiang abruptly raised his head, eyes fixed greedily and delightedly on the Origin Fragment before him.
