Chapter 258: The Battle Ends (Request for Subscription)

No one wants to be the one left behind at a critical moment, and there's no need to count on this group of people, each with their own ulterior motives, to have much dedication. Everyone exchanged glances and focused their eyes on Mu Fanchen.

Now they understand that Fu Rui is the main caster and cannot be abandoned, while Mu Fanchen, the supposed guide of the team, seems to have lost his use, and as the "weakest" among the small groups left, he is naturally excluded.

Seeing this situation, Mu Fanchen sneered. Before the others could act, he struck first by pressing back the longsword Shen Yuanzhou tried to draw. Mu Fanchen blew a breath of foul air on Shen Yuanzhou's severely injured arm. Amidst Shen Yuanzhou's horrible screams, Mu Fanchen kicked him out of the red cloth and shouted, "Go quickly!"

Under the red glow, everyone disappeared in the blink of an eye with Fu Rui's powers, leaving behind an empty, floating red cloth and a stunned, furious Shen Yuanzhou.

"Damn it! Despicable! Shameless fool! That junior dares to plot against me! Once I escape...!" Shen Yuanzhou cursed with all his might, but as he spoke, the heavy breathing behind his neck made him shiver with fear and didn't dare to turn around, instead lunging forward in a panic.

Despite his attempts at using his divine speed technique, it was as if he was under a body fixing technique. Though continuously running, he was just circling in place; with fear consuming him, he decided to give it a desperate try, turning his body and stabbing backwards with his longsword.

"One sword breaks ten thousand laws!" As the sword was thrust, cold gleam illuminated the sky and earth, with the sword Qi sweeping behind with immense momentum.

Poof! An elder yellow dog raised its tiny paw in Shen Yuanzhou's eyes, infinitely enlarging, gently pressed down, and shattered the longsword.

Howl! With a massive mouth opened, the yellow dog swallowed Shen Yuanzhou's tear-stained head, followed by more swallowing until half the body was inside.

With a swoosh, a stream of light rushed out of Shen Yuanzhou's body, scurrying like a runaway dog or a fish escaping a net, circling once in the air, and it dashed madly into the door opened by the elder yellow dog and the girl.

The girl didn't hurry; she sat cross-legged beside the yellow dog waiting patiently for it to swallow all of Shen Yuanzhou's body completely. Once it was satisfied, lying on the ground, she leaned on the now larger bodied yellow dog and dozed off.

Having been chased by no one, Shen Yuanzhou's soul rejoiced secretly at his escape, considering how to return to the sect to find a new body, and then come back to hassle that junior! As for the elder yellow dog that put him in this deathly position, he dared not entertain thoughts of revenge.

Upon entering the gate, Shen Yuanzhou had little time to celebrate before the scenery ahead turned bright. Seeing the surroundings clearly, his heart sank. He hadn't escaped; it was the same battlefield as before! Unwillingly, he hurried back through the gate only to find it unchanged again. After several tries, he understood the space here had been manipulated by that person.

Shen Yuanzhou's despondent soul wandered over to the girl and effortlessly knelt to the ground, bowing silently with despair.

"Alright, tell me the name of that little girl! Her ability is quite peculiar!" The girl impatiently asked, waving her hand.

"Uh... This junior has only met her a few times, and truly does not know...!" Shen Yuanzhou was now regretting deeply for not paying attention to her name. Seeing the girl's unhappy expression, he quickly shut up, bowing repeatedly in apology.

"Forget it, I suddenly want to find a servant in this world. Since that's the case, I'll spare you! Would you be willing?" The girl shifted her tone slightly inquiring.

"Servant?" Shen Yuanzhou was puzzled; he hadn't heard of this person having servants before. These types usually act alone if they wanted servants, candidates from different sects would swarm like fish crossing the river. Could he be benefiting from his misfortune?

"Are you unwilling?"

"Willing! This junior is willing to serve!" Sensing the pressure emanating from the girl, Shen Yuanzhou quickly kowtowed, pledging allegiance, unaware that this decision would make his life henceforth a mix of pain and happiness.

Without more words, the girl pulled out a porcelain bottle from her chest, and Shen Yuanzhou deftly slipped into it, then she closed the bottle cap and put it back. Rising, she beckoned Lin Rui over with her finger.

Seeing this, Lin Rui hurriedly approached and bowed in salute. The girl extended her hand, calmly saying, "Give it to me!"

Understanding, Lin Rui opened his palm, putting the shattered pendant pieces in hers. As a mist enveloped the shards, in no time, it dispersed, leaving a restored pendant.

Tossing the pendant back to Lin Rui, the girl turned to leave without looking back, "I'm done here, leave the rest to you."

"Yes!" Lin Rui bowed, watching the girl and the elder yellow dog go until they vanished. Finally, he straightened, exhaling with relief, and surveyed the ruined space warehouse, lamenting. Holding the pendant firmly, he injected consistent internal force, restoring the ground gradually, dispelling the dark clouds, bringing the space back to its previous look.

Having completed everything, he hung the pendant around his neck. By now survivors in the battlefield have cleared up, and Shalaliyam's two prisoners are guarded tightly while one from the investigation hall has perished, along with the Magic Realm's representative. The rest suffer minor injuries.

Aside from the severely exhausted, unconscious, and unfortunate Mei Simiao, the most heavily injured are Cao Jiu Zhou, Dragon Prince Salafam, and the other investigation hall advisor Elder Yun.

Lin Rui, unable to mourn his old comrades' sacrifice, quickly proceeded to treat the seriously injured. Outside the warehouse, more people arrived, including Spirit Monster Realm physicians initially here to treat Salafam's sister, also worried about the prince's severe injuries.

In truth, Salafam and Elder Yun's injuries were straightforward; though severe external they hadn't affected the inside thanks to their strong abilities, But Mei Simiao and Cao Jiu Zhou's situation was less optimistic.

Elder Lin first examined Mei Simiao's body, thankfully they hadn't reached the point of total exhaustion, yet saving means six months in recovery. Checking Cao Jiu Zhou, Elder Lin frowned at his deepest wounds affecting the soul, barely hanging on, in risk of imminent death.

"Notify the Immortal Palace of this situation; urge them to send people proficient in healing fast!" Lin Rui instructed Yu Zhongmin quietly. After thinking, he added, "Also inform Gu Shenghui that Mu Fanchen has escaped!"
