One Piece: Signing In as a Pirate Begins with Roger's Execution

Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Brazen Defiance

"Successfully signed in as Fisher Tiger. You can now breathe freely underwater!"

Non-luck!

Genuine non-luck!

Karl's face darkened in frustration.

Fisher Tiger's strength might not be at the top of the scale, but he's at least of vice admiral level.

Not to mention his mastery of Fish-Man Karate and various other abilities.

But what did he get?

The ability to breathe underwater?

Even the Float-Float Fruit could manage that!

Though deeply dissatisfied, Karl accepted this reality.

After all, he had more pressing matters at hand. There was no time to dwell on this.

"All units, follow my command and gather at the front half of the landmass!

If anyone insists on staying behind, don't blame me if you die in the sea later!"

Karl's words left Fisher Tiger and the others visibly puzzled.

They quickly realized Karl was trying to help them.

Everyone rushed forward without hesitation.

Though unclear about Karl's intentions, the mention of "death" triggered a reflexive retreat from the back half of the land.

Karl then used his powers to forcibly split the landmass in two.

On the front half of the island, where the majority of slaves had gathered, most were children, women, and Fish-Men, with only a handful of able-bodied men among them.

Seeing these pitiful people, Karl couldn't help but sigh before, under the cover of night, setting the island adrift on the ocean.

"This island's future course is in your hands. You know what to do, right? Don't disappoint me," Karl said, patting Fisher Tiger on the shoulder as he prepared to leave.

Just then, Hancock stepped forward, clutching his clothes tightly.

At this moment, Hancock had lost all the pride she displayed when they first met. She was now timid, pitiful, and helpless.

"I told Gloriosa to keep a close eye on you, and yet this still happened.

But I've done all I can for you. From here, your path is your own to walk—I won't interfere any further."

Karl had reached his limit.

The CP organization and the Navy would soon arrive.

He had to make sure his act was convincing before leaving.

Without further delay, Karl departed toward an uninhabited island.

With a single swing of his sword, he dismantled a landmass over a thousand meters long as if it were tofu.

Using his abilities, he unleashed a massive waterspout, enveloping the entire area and isolating it.

He left only one path for the slaves to escape, ensuring that no one could witness the events here—not even Kizaru (Borsalino) could break through.

Moments later, when the Fish-Men and the slaves vanished with the drifting landmass, Karl submerged the remaining uninhabited land into the ocean.

At the same time, Kizaru arrived on the scene.

The CP agents, on the other hand, were fuming.

They had requested naval reinforcements but got a disruptor instead.

And now?

The slaves were nowhere to be found.

From their perspective, Karl had killed all the slaves.

But these slaves were the property of the Celestial Dragons. Their orders were to capture, not kill!

Karl's actions had infuriated the CP agents.

"Navy! Do you realize what you've done?"

"You killed the Celestial Dragons' property! This is an affront to the Celestial Dragons!"

"You'll pay for this with your life, Navy brat! We'll report this to the Celestial Dragons and the Five Elders. Just you wait!"

"How dare you damage the Celestial Dragons' assets! You'll compensate with your life!"

The CP agents yelled at Karl incessantly.

These individuals were low-ranking operatives who didn't even recognize Karl or know who he was.

After all, Karl had been absent from the public eye for five years. Even if he was once prominent, time had erased his name from their memories.

"Do as you please. I've done what needed to be done.

Whatever happens next—whether you file complaints or come after me—I'll deal with it.

But let me give you a warning: even if the Celestial Dragons come seeking trouble, they'd better tread carefully. I'm not someone to be trifled with," Karl sneered, shifting his gaze to Kizaru.

"Kizaru (Borsalino), do you have any business here?"

"I'm just passing by. I saw nothing," Kizaru (Borsalino) replied, raising both hands in a gesture of innocence.

The Navy soldiers nearby exchanged confused glances, unsure what to make of the situation.

Something felt off, but they couldn't quite put their finger on it.

"In that case, let's head back. As for the slaves' fate and the Celestial Dragons' reaction, that's not my concern," Karl remarked, casting a final glance at the distant horizon before flying toward Navy Headquarters.

Kizaru (Borsalino) shrugged and followed Karl.

The Navy soldiers, though baffled, turned back as well, leaving without setting foot on the island.

The CP agents, however, were seething with rage.

They wanted nothing more than to capture Karl and deliver him to the Celestial Dragons and the Five Elders.

But Karl's display of power made it clear they were no match for him.

Their fury was palpable.

"What happened here? Where are the slaves?"

A man in a white suit, white cape, and white mask descended swiftly using Moonwalk, landing before the CP agents.

"It's CP0!"

"Sir! You must stand up for us!"

"The slaves were drowned by the Navy. Their fates are unknown.

And that Navy officer was outrageously arrogant, showing no respect for the Celestial Dragons!"

"Yes, this is all the Navy's fault! They've caused immense losses to the Celestial Dragons' property.

If it weren't for their interference, we would have captured all the slaves by now!"

One CP agent, seething with indignation, laid all the blame on the Navy.

But the CP0 operative merely glanced at the massive gap over a kilometer in diameter where the port once stood and sighed.

He raised his hand, placing it lightly on the complaining agent's head.

Suddenly, his fingers pierced into the man's skull.

"Too much talking. Silence is golden," the man muttered, tossing the corpse aside and removing his blood-stained gloves.

"The Navy's arrogance is becoming intolerable. It's time they learned their place."
