One Piece: I Understand It Now

Chapter 27: Adapting at its Best!

Chapter 27: Adapting at its Best!

"Let's get this done with." Ken thought to himself.

It was common sense that a person with the right technique or weapon could kill someone much stronger than them.

And this rule was something Ken worked with all his life.

Just by having more knowledge about someone or being stationed in the right place at the right time, he could just change the outcome that should in no way be in his favor and come out victorious.

Not to mention now that he has his devil fruit.

Having already fought with the angel in the previous encounter, his body and mind have fully adapted to him, meaning Ken had immunity against this being and all those who were to a level, close to him in composition.

It had to be said that the only reason this rule was applied was because the monster didn't have an intelligence as high as that of a human.

If that proved to be true, then it would be a predicament where each person needed to be adapted to individually.

But as Ken got stronger, fought more people, and gained more and wider experience, weak individuals wouldn't cause him any problems, as seen before.

The Angel was still approaching slowly, ready to beat Ken until he couldn't move anymore and then take him back to its master.

Unfortunately for it, such a thing wasn't possible anymore.

*Fwsh*

The angel launched itself at Ken, and the latter didn't move at all, only watching its movements slowly.

*SLASH*

The second it slashed at him, expecting him to guard, the young man moved to the side and watched how the angel's stomach wriggled and its tentacles launched themselves at him with focused eyes.

"Not today."

*Slash*

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa!! The angel screamed as loud as it could, and Ken was slightly startled by the voice before he regained his demeanor and ran to the side.

*SLASH*

The angel forgot all common sense and slashed at him with its own arms instead of its sword, which could also have proven fatal, but it was far too late at the moment.

Each slash it launched was another round of enlightenment for Ken.

While it slashed at him furiously with its sword and claws, its stomach bled violently, and the young men only took minimal steps to evade them all, and then, when he was fully ready to move and deliver his deadly thrust, he had completely adapted to the monster, understanding all there was about it.

*Fwshh* *Fwshh* *Slash* *Slash* *THUD* *Slash* *Slash* *Thud *Thud*

Feinting it with a few steps, he got to its back and slashed at its wings. The second they fell to the ground, it turned around to strike back, but he was ready and used that chance to get rid of both of its arms.

But upon doing that, the angel stopped and looked down, not moving anymore.

Blood was spewing out of all of its wounds, and Ken was taken aback by its sudden stop and also stood for a split second, not deciding to attack lest it have a surprise move and get him in trouble.

And a surprise move it had. It wasn't anything like an explosion or something that could harm him, but it sure did its job of astonishing him.

The angel, which had wounds all over its body that made its pale humanoid body all red, looked like it was going to give birth as the wounds all over it healed in a split second, with new limbs gushing out of its body.

"..."

Ken surely wasn't expecting this.

-----End-----

Should I really do this again?
