One Piece: I Awakened King Ghidorah At the Start

Chapter 048: Imu Takes Action

Within Pangea Castle, the Celestial Dragons stared up at the monster—an existence worthy of worship.

Yet Ghidorah dared to claim he would destroy their sacred domain, right before Imu-sama himself.

"How brazen!"

Roars of indignation echoed from those who considered themselves divine.

Their leader—Imu—was their deity. With him present, they feared nothing.

"How dare you!"

Imu's voice thundered. Ghidorah's laughter was cold and dismissive:

"Millennia ago, I already did so once.

What makes you think I lack courage now?"

Imu's heart trembled. History confirmed Ghidorah's ruthlessness—countless lives perished at his hands.

"This is now my city.

And I—will not—allow you to violate it!"

Raising his hand, Imu unleashed a sphere of spinning, electric blue energy.

The sphere grew larger, darker—electrifying the air with urgent whines.

---

Ghidorah sneered:

"Tch.

You'd dare wield that power in my presence?

Did you forget who created it?"

He unfurled his massive wings. A storm rose.

---

Imu responded without hesitation. He unleashed a roaring column of blue light, which smashed into Ghidorah's chest. The monster's golden scales momentarily charred, pain flashing across his features.

---

With a powerful sweep of his wings, Ghidorah launched himself upward, crashing down atop a cluster of buildings.

His massive tails whipped outward like twin rattlesnakes, shattering structures in their path.

Emerging from the dust, Imu dodged to midair in front of Ghidorah:

"Stop it, or I swear—"

A slender, deep-blue energy cloaked Imu's palm as he aimed a strike at Ghidorah's abdomen.

---

Against such an entity, he seemed tiny—but those energies held weight.

Ghidorah, curious, struck at him with a wing. The impact blew open the plaza, flinging dust into the air.

---

Gale-force winds carried away terrified Dragons; sandstorms ripped through streets.

Ghidorah used one wing as a shield, while the blue energy ripped skyward like a spear. Streaking through clouds, it vanished into the horizon.

---

Feeling the sting in his wing, Ghidorah hissed:

"A pitiful quantum beam."

Thunderclouds gathered overhead. Lightning crackled across his wings.

In a sudden roar, massive lightning crashed upon him as dark clouds covered Mary Geoise—Ghidorah stood godlike amid storm and chaos.

---

Three fierce golden eyes focused on Imu. Ghidorah unleashed a Graviton Beam—

A violent golden arc tore into the city streets, seeking the leader.

Imu swiftly dodged—his cloak swirling, hood shadowing his face.

Ghidorah flowed the beam horizontally, crushing the real-estate Ghidorah had once helped build.

The once-glorious French-inspired architecture now lay in ruin beneath his rage.

---

Imu's anger burned hot.

This city, conquered and inhabited by the Twenty Kings for eight centuries, was in danger of being another Marineford—to be razed to the ground.

"You've forced my hand, Ghidorah!"

But his words were cut short by a violent earthquake.

---

Massive figures emerged from across Mary Geoise—four colossal giants, stepping toward Ghidorah.

They came forward strongly—it was a charge.

"Ghidorah!"

The lead giant—resembling an ancient Roman warrior—roared hatred and charged.

Buildings collapsed underfoot; the ground cracked. His gaze burned as though meeting a sworn enemy.

These were not the present's strongest fighters—they were the ancient Titan Army, creations of the Twenty-King era, crafted from ancient giants: the ultimate force of their time.

---

Ghidorah's side heads snarled as he let off a roar and lunged—"Hody (OC)!". His side-heads immediately engaged the lead giant—biting into both shoulders and flipping him away with bone-cracking force.

The impact unleashed a duststorm across the plaza, sweeping up terrified Dragons who stared at the horror of four giants fighting beside a greater monster.

Their leader? Imu. Their city? Disintegrating around them.

---

Hellish winds shredded buildings as Ghidorah clashed again—dragons and the sacred space turned to rubble.

---

Finally, a commanding voice rang out:

"Everyone—evacuate with CP0 members!"

The owner of this voice—the goat-horned Five Elder—took command.

CP0 agents appeared, organizing a swift retreat.

---

Chaos reigned.

A young Celestial Dragon woman turned to her Elder:

"Where are we going?

This city… our Holy Land…"

He gave her a sorrowful look—and said nothing.

---

There would be no return to "holy land" as they knew it.

For Mary Geoise had been shattered.
