One Piece: Alucard the Immortal

Chapter 145: Alucard, the Target of All

Most pirates are foolish, wanting to reach the skies in a single bound.

It's not just pirates; most people fantasize about instant success, but pirates display this mentality particularly overtly.

Gaining fame in a single battle is almost every pirate's fervent wish. Taking down a major figure is, without a doubt, the best way to achieve instant renown.

They naturally wouldn't dare touch legendary figures like Whitebeard, Patrick Redfield, Garp, or Kong. So, they set their sights on those known as "Beneath the Legends." This includes Kaido of the Beasts Pirates, Charlotte Linlin of the Big Mom Pirates, and the lone wolf, Alucard.

Comparing these three, anyone with half a brain knows that the solitary Alucard is the easiest to deal with, at least in their eyes.

Consequently, many brainless pirates and pirate hunters, eager for instant fame, charged towards Alucard in droves. While most were useless, there were also some reckless, somewhat capable individuals among them, like calves unafraid of tigers.

It's no wonder some of the future Supernovas dared to foolishly attack the Four Emperors; in the end, apart from Luffy with his plot armor, they were either crippled or subdued and joined their ranks.

In the waters at the exit of Fish-Man Island, which also serves as the entrance to the New World, an iron ship floated slowly on the vast sea.

Alucard, seated at the bow, closed his eyes in meditation. Suddenly, he heard the sounds of countless ships sliding through the water, which finally made him reluctantly open his eyes and look around.

However, upon opening his eyes, he found that he had already reached the vicinity of the Red Line, specifically the exit point into the New World.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, the surrounding ocean currents began to rise. One by one, coated pirate ships burst from beneath Fish-Man Island to the surface, officially arriving in the New World.

"What is this? Even with Kaido in the Grand Line, are there still so many wastes entering the New World?" Alucard spoke bluntly.

Three months had passed since the death of the Pirate King, Gold Roger, and countless pirates had begun to pour into the Grand Line.

Now, three months later, many more pirates were surging into the New World.

Luffy's era wasn't the peak of the Great Pirate Era. In that period, with the Shichibukai keeping order, the number of pirates daring to enter the Grand Line significantly decreased.

The Great Pirate Era truly reached its peak in the years following Roger's death, which is the period Alucard currently found himself in.

Even with Kaido in the first half of the Grand Line, so many pirates were still flooding into the New World. He suspected Fish-Man Island was currently facing severe devastation.

As Alucard pondered these issues, the pirate ships emerging from Fish-Man Island into the New World successively spotted Alucard's conspicuous iron ship.

"Captain! That's Alucard, one of the Three Monsters!" On a pirate ship, a navigator, looking through a telescope, reported to his captain, holding a bounty poster of Alucard.

"What luck! We just entered the New World and already caught a big fish!" The captain slapped his hand excitedly, shouting, "Men, prepare the cannons! Take Alucard's head, and our Black Blade Pirates will be famous throughout the world!"

"Yes! Captain Pondo!"

Noticing the movements of the Black Blade Pirates, other pirate crews also quickly discovered Alucard.

After swiftly surrounding him, one captain shouted to the Black Blade Pirates' captain, "Hey, Pondo! Alucard is my prey! Don't you dare—" But before he could finish his sentence, in horror, a bullet already blew off his head, leaving only his body to fall into the tumultuous sea two seconds later.

"Captain Baxter!" The pirates on that ship cried out in panic, seeing their captain fall into the sea.

Suddenly, a dark shadow leaped from below onto their ship's railing. The Black Blade Pirates were astonished to find that Alucard and his sharp-bowed iron ship, which should have been surrounded by the other vessels, had vanished in a burst of shadow, only to reappear on another ship!

The pirates on that ship recoiled in terror at the sight of the crimson shadow standing on the railing, holding twin pistols, and the grinning Alucard, who revealed his upper and lower rows of sharp fangs. Some even stumbled and fell to the ground.

"Welcome to the New World."

Instantly, the ship was filled with the sound of gunfire, pirates' screams, sounds of pain, and... pleas for mercy.

Alucard raised his hands, and countless shadow hands, wearing white gloves, extended from his shadows, crushing the bodies of dozens of pirates on the ship. Blood dyed the entire pirate ship crimson.

Alucard grabbed a pirate's neck, a man with a white bandana tied around his head, and with a forceful twist, tore off his entire head. Surprisingly, not a single drop of blood splattered onto Alucard himself.

"You fools, who only pursue treasure, with no strength, no strategy, not even the ability to judge the gap in power." Alucard tossed the head into the sea for the nearby Sea Kings to eat, then abruptly transformed into bats, descending onto the Black Blade Pirates' ship deck. His eyes, behind his sunglasses, narrowed sharply. "Do you even deserve to call yourselves pirates?!"

Bang!

Pondo was so frightened by Alucard's aura that he staggered back, then waved his hand, commanding his subordinates, "Fire! Shoot him! Kill him!"

Staring at the countless bullets, allowing them to riddle his body, Alucard walked towards Pondo, his form almost unrecognizable from the damage.

Pondo was cornered, with nowhere left to retreat.

Alucard raised Casull, and a blue-white flash appeared at the muzzle. Countless bullets struck Pondo's body, preventing him from even letting out a scream. The new pain from the next shot silenced his cries until, half a minute later, Pondo was completely dead.

When they saw Alucard turn around, the other Black Blade Pirates tried to flee, only to realize they were at sea, with nowhere to escape. They could only watch, horrified, as Alucard took the lives of one companion after another.

"This is... the power of the New World..." A rookie pirate, just before his death, uttered these words with great difficulty.
