Ohayo!!

Chapter 5: Finally!! Sunday Of Chaos and Bloom

Nuts stared at his reflection in the mirror, adjusting his shirt for the tenth time. His hair, which never cooperated, was sticking up in strange directions. He sighed and ran his fingers through it again. Today was the day. The day he, Nuts, also known as Acidy, was going on a date with Coyra.

"How do I look?" he asked Toysi, who was sprawled on Nuts' bed, lazily flipping through his phone.

"Like a guy who's trying too hard," Toysi replied with a smirk. "Relax. She already likes you, remember?"

Macber, standing by the window, crossed his arms. "Let's just hope you don't trip over something or spill food on her."

Nuts groaned. "Thanks for the vote of confidence."

Toysi sat up, grinning. "Don't worry, Acidy. If it all goes south, at least you'll have a good story to tell."

"That's not helping," Nuts muttered.

The Setup

Coyra had suggested meeting at a local café near the park. It was a cozy spot with outdoor seating and fairy lights strung up in the trees. Nuts arrived ten minutes early, clutching a small bouquet of daisies. His heart pounded as he scanned the area, looking for her.

And then he saw her. Coyra walked toward him, her hair loosely tied back and a soft smile on her face. She wore a simple floral dress that swayed with the breeze, and for a moment, Nuts forgot how to breathe.

"Hi, Acidy," she said, her voice warm.

"Hi," he managed, holding out the flowers. "These are for you."

She took them, her cheeks turning pink. "Thank you. They're lovely."

"Not as lovely as you," Nuts blurted, immediately regretting it.

Coyra giggled, and Nuts felt a little less like running away.

The Café Fiasco

The date started off smoothly enough. They ordered drinks—Coyra got a caramel latte, and Nuts decided on a hot chocolate, wanting to avoid the potential chaos of coffee spills.

But chaos had other plans.

As Coyra reached for the sugar, Nuts tried to move his drink closer, misjudging the angle. The cup tipped over, spilling hot chocolate across the table and onto his lap.

"Oh no!" Coyra gasped, grabbing napkins.

"I'm fine! Totally fine!" Nuts said, wincing as he dabbed at his pants.

Coyra tried not to laugh as she helped clean up. "Well, at least it wasn't on me."

"Small victories," Nuts muttered, his face burning.

Once the mess was cleaned up, they ordered a slice of cake to share. Coyra cut a small piece and held it out to him with a playful smile.

"Here, try this."

Nuts leaned forward to take a bite but misjudged the distance, accidentally bumping the fork with his nose. The cake fell onto the table.

Coyra burst out laughing. "You're a disaster, Acidy."

"I prefer 'charmingly clumsy,'" Nuts said, grinning despite himself.

A Walk in the Park

After leaving the café, Coyra suggested a walk in the nearby park to "reduce the chances of any more spills." Nuts agreed, hoping the fresh air would calm his nerves.

The park was beautiful, with blooming flowers and winding paths. They strolled along, chatting about everything from their favorite movies to embarrassing childhood stories.

As they passed a small pond, Coyra stopped to watch a group of ducks swimming.

"They're so cute," she said, leaning on the railing.

"They're alright," Nuts said, trying to sound casual.

Coyra turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "You don't like ducks?"

"It's not that," Nuts replied. "It's just... they're a little smug. Like they know they're adorable and use it to get extra bread."

Coyra laughed, a light, musical sound that made Nuts' heart skip a beat. "You're ridiculous, you know that?"

"I try," he said, smiling.

The Fountain Mishap

As they continued walking, they came across a large fountain surrounded by benches. Coyra suggested sitting for a while, and Nuts agreed, thankful for the break.

Coyra reached into her bag and pulled out a small notebook. "I like to sketch sometimes," she explained. "Do you mind if I draw?"

"Not at all," Nuts said, watching as she began to sketch the fountain.

Feeling bold, he decided to try something romantic. He stood up, pretending to stretch, and walked over to the fountain. Picking up a coin from his pocket, he turned to Coyra.

"Make a wish," he said, holding out the coin.

Coyra smiled and joined him. They both closed their eyes and tossed the coin into the water.

"What did you wish for?" Coyra asked, opening her eyes.

"If I tell you, it won't come true," Nuts said, grinning.

Before Coyra could reply, a gust of wind blew her notebook off the bench and straight into the fountain.

"Oh no!" she exclaimed, rushing toward the edge.

"I'll get it!" Nuts said, stepping forward—and promptly tripping over the fountain's ledge.

He landed in the shallow water with a loud splash, sending droplets flying everywhere. Coyra gasped, covering her mouth to stifle her laughter.

"Are you okay?" she asked, helping him up.

Nuts, drenched but holding her soggy notebook triumphantly, grinned. "Got it."

Coyra shook her head, laughing. "You're unbelievable."

A Sweet Ending

Despite the mishaps, Coyra seemed to be enjoying herself. As the sun began to set, they walked to a small hill overlooking the park. The sky was painted in shades of pink and orange, and Coyra sighed contentedly.

"This is nice," she said softly.

"Yeah," Nuts agreed, glancing at her.

Coyra turned to him, her expression serious. "You know, I was a little nervous about today."

"You were nervous?" Nuts asked, surprised.

She nodded. "But you've made it fun. Chaotic, but fun."

Nuts chuckled. "That's me. Chaos in bloom."

Coyra smiled, then hesitated for a moment before leaning closer. "You're also sweet, Acidy."

Nuts' heart raced as Coyra gently kissed his cheek. For once, he managed not to trip, spill, or break anything.

"Well," Toysi would later say when Nuts told him, "even destiny gets it right sometimes."

And This is how our boys go with his curse
