Chapter 90: Lillian Vs Lunel
At the same time that Lillian drew her holy blade from her back, the two women before her jumped backwards as if to distance themselves.
Lillian kept her eyes trained on them, waiting for them to make their next moves.
Then, the women tore off their clothes.
"We'll, our covers been blown now. She's not left us with many options." The red-haired woman said, revealing her busty body to all that stood nearby. Men gawked as they saw her statuesque body.
The other woman, less curvy, was not as pleased with the fact that they had to remove their clothes.
"Let's get this over with quickly," she said to the other lady, her body now exposed as well. "The longer we take, the harder it will be to find the other Angels."
Lillian's eyes lit up in realisation.
"So that's what you are. Angels, like the other two?"
The small black-haired lady looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "So they've both been captured? The Seventh and the Tenth."
The red-haired lady nodded her head.
"Even more reason to hurry and find them."
Lillian now understanding the situation, tightened her grip on her sword and lowered her stance, keeping her eyes trained on the two women before her.
The students of the dragon school watched in awe. This was the third time that naked women had turned up to their school looking to battle.
"I'm afraid I can't let you leave," Lillian announced to the woman, earning her a laugh.
"Let us?" the red-haired woman spat. "I'm afraid, you don't have the facilities to stop us."
At the exact moment that her sentence finished, the two women's bodies suddenly burst with an incredible amount of power.
The woman's red hair suddenly began to glow, and black tattoos formed down the length of her white arms. Then, they began to mutate.
Her arms slowly began to become pointed, and her skin twisted into a metallic shade. What was left of her arms once transformed were two gruesome blades
Besides her, the other woman summoned a black spear from out of nowhere. It sparked with a dark energy and stood easily twice her height. She carried the weapon as though it were an extension of herself, and the power radiating from it was so strong that some of the students in the crowd fled in fear.
Lillian faced off against the two women, alone. She tried her best not to show it, but her heart suddenly began to beat fast.
No one's going to help me? A 2 on 1 then?
...
Can I win?
It was at that moment, that something miraculous happened.
Everybody around her disappeared, apart from Lillian and the naked red-haired woman in front of her.
At first, she thought she had gone insane. That she was merely hallucinating things. However, the reaction of her opponent suggested that she was experiencing the same phenomenon as well.
"Did you think I would let one of the kings Maidens fight on her own?" A stern feminine voice suddenly came from behind her.
Lillian turned to see a brown-skinned woman standing there, with a serious look on her face. Her curly white hair fell to her shoulders, and instantly, Lillian realised who the woman was.
"Faith?" She said in awe. It was the first student that had been enrolled into the Dragon School.
The one with birthright which could bring two people into a timeless dimension.
It was the perfect scenario. By doing this, Faith could ensure that the other Angel could not get involved in the fight.
In fact...
"The odds have changed." Lillian pointed out. "Now it's a 2 on 1 in our favour."
Faith quickly shook her head.
"Apologies, my lady, but I'm not much of a combatant. I would more so get in your way if I attempted to help you. This is all I can do for you."
The red-haired woman watched them with an angry eye, which slowly faded into a smile.
"I get it." The woman laughed. "So it's a 1 v 1 now? That's fine by me."
Lillian looked down at the cruel blades that had now replaced her opponent's arms. The woman was clearly a fighter, so she would have to be careful regardless. But before they engaged with each other, she had to ask something.
"What's your rank?"
The red-haired woman waited a few moments before responding as if she was deliberating whether it was worth it or not.
"Eight. I'm the Eighth Angel, and my name is Lulel." The woman said proudly.
Lillian nodded her head in acknowledgement.
Then, the two began to slowly approach each other.
"Try not to expend too much energy, lady Lillian." Faith called from behind. "Remember, you still have another Angel to deal with after this."
Lillian didn't respond. Her mind was now entirely focused on her opponent.
Step, step, step.
...
Woosh!
The two women vanished and met at the centre of the field, Lillian's Holy Blade crashing against her sword arms.
The sounds of metal rang through the silent air of the realm, signifying the strength of the strikes.
Both weapons were blasted away, before being swung once again and meeting with the same force.
The two were evenly matched in strength, shown by their continuous exchange of strikes.
That meant that it would become a battle of techniques.
Lillian switched her grip to a one-handed one and crouched low, aiming an arced strike towards the woman's legs.
The change of angles caught Lunel off guard, causing the blade to cut into her skin. Blood spilt onto the ground but it was not enough to stop her.
She swung a strike off her own, but Lillian stepped backwards and out of the way, before dashing in again and aiming another strike toward the shoulder.
Lunel raised her guard, but the strike still sent her flying backwards. Now that her dominant leg had been cut, she was unable to brace herself correctly.
Her sense of balance had been thrown off, all because of a minor mistake.
Lillian smirked at the woman, pointing her back Holy Blade towards her.
"This battle is already won." She announced proudly. "It seems you underestimated the power of a Maiden."
