Chapter 44: Gathering Information
"..."
A silence hung in the air as the three students stared at each other.
Son of an emperor... This frail boy?
Raphael tried his best to contain his laughter, but he couldn't help it. A chuckle slipped from his lips.
"Hey, I'm being serious," Joshua responded frustratedly. "I even have the same name as him. I'm Joshua Brunell IX."
Raphael wasn't laughing because he didn't believe him. After all, it made sense. Why else would he be allowed into the Phoenix Queen office whilst Maria and Harmony spoke about such pressing matters?
The bigger question was, why was Joshua here if his father lived in another region?
Even Lillian had a hysterical smirk on her face, as she looked down on the boy.
Could someone so frail really be a future emperor?
"Alright, I believe you." Raphael conceded. "But why are you here? And how did you even know where to find me?"
Joshua's face twisted with a smug smile as he rubbed at his chin as though he were some sort of scholar.
"Well, it was quite easy. Once I saw that you weren't in your dorm room, I checked out the Student Codex to find Celeste's room. I knew that you two were acquainted in the past and had a feeling she would have an idea. And low and behold, she was right! She said that if I couldn't find you in your room, you would most likely be in the training field or with a woman, and a look what we have here. both!"
"..."
"..."
Sorry about that, Celeste...
Raphael and Lillian stared at each other, both weirded out by the strange boy.
After a few moments, the silence was sceptically broken.
"Okay, but that doesn't answer my first question. Why were you so adamant on finding me?"
Joshua palmed his face.
"Whoops, I always get carried away with my explanations. I came here to join you on your journey of course."
"..."
"..."
Silence again.
Raphael and Lillian stared at each other, both sharing the same thought.
There's no way this boy is coming with us...
"Not happening, man; head back to your dorm."
Joshua, lips curled with sadness as he clasped his hands together in a pleading gesture.
"Please I beg you! If you bring me with you, I'll be able to convince my father to let you sleep in the palace. The place is incredible! It has great food and excellent sleeping chambers. It even has-"
"Women?" Raphael cut the enthusiastic boy off. "Are there women there."
Joshua rubbed at his chin once again, as though in deep thought.
"I mean, yeah, there is. My sister's live there, as they wait to be wedded off to other lords of the realm. There's also the emperor's wife and other noble ladies of the palace. But why would you care about them?"
Raphael's lips twisted into a smirk. All of a sudden, bringing the boy along the journey didn't sound too bad.
Lillian noticed Raphael's face becoming sinister and wondered what had excited him so quickly.
"Fine," Raphael conceded with not much hesitation. "You can come with us, but we travel the day after tomorrow. I still have business to attend to here before I leave."
Joshua jumped up and down with excitement, pumping his fists into the air.
"Thank you so much master, Raphael!" You won't regret it, I promise."
Before Raphael could reprimand the boy for using the strange title, Joshua turned around and ran out of the fields to head back to his dorm.
That left Raphael and Lillian together. The woman stared at him as a smirk tugged at her lips.
"Master huh," she said in a playful tone whilst placing her sword in its sheathe, "that's cute. I should call you that as well"
Raphael ignored her and took one last sip from the fountain.
"You should go home and get some rest." He said to Lillian, as the two made their way out of the field. "You need to prepare for the journey, we could be away for some time."
Lillian nodded her head but had one last thing to ask before leaving. Her cheeks slightly flushed again, signalling that the question might not be innocent.
"W-will we be able to continue another time." She said shyly, tugging at her sleeve. She was talking about the way Raphael touched her before Joshua interrupted. She wanted to go further like they had the previous day.
Raphael patted her head, causing her to blush even stronger.
"Don't worry, there will be plenty of time for that during our journey."
---
The next day, Raphael woke up with a goal in mind. He had one day to prepare before heading out on his journey to the Three Divine Academies.
And he would spend it by visiting the queen of the Sword School.
He had decided that she would be his next target. After all, he had already made a name for himself in the Sword School after walking out of their campus with one of the Three Holy Blades in his possession.
News had probably started to spread that Lillian had broken up with her boyfriend after losing her sword, and rumours would most likely say it was because of him..
Sometimes, rumours are true.
To gather information on the Sword Queen, who he knew nothing about, Raphael decided to pay a visit to Harmony, the Rose Queen.
She had helped him before by giving him information on how to conquer Maria, and she had faith in him and his goal to become King. Raphael knew he could rely on her.
He knocked on the door and heard her voice telling him to enter.
Once inside, he was met with the familiar beauty that he had been with before. Her pink hair was now curly, a common fashion trend amongst the women of the schools.
She looked at Raphael with joy on her face, clearly happy to see him again.
"Raphael, what did I do to deserve such a visit?" She asked in a soft teasing manner. Raphael loved the way the woman spoke.
He made his way over and took a seat opposite her desk. Unlike before, he did not wait to be invited to sit. Harmony didn't seem to care, and if she did, she was not brave enough to say anything about it.
That was the status that Raphael now held.
"I've just come to ask a few questions. Unless you want to do something else?"
Harmony didn't blush, but she bit her bottom lip at his suggestive words. After staring at him lustfully for a few moments, thinking back on how he had railed her over that exact desk, she let out a sigh.
"Not yet, I'll be patient. I want to ask Maria to join her in rewarding you for stealing the holy Blade. I'm not sure whether she will accept though." She explained.
Raphael's heart began to beat faster at the prospect of it.
A threesome with two queens. That would be my first time.
However, he struggled to imagine Maria would accept.
...
I can only hope.
"Well, I look forward to it. It will be a challenge to see If I can pleasure you both at the same time." Raphael said in a confident tone, causing Harmony to lean forward on her desk and rest her chin on her hands.
"I'm sure you will." She said seductively, her arms pressing her large breasts together. "You certainly have enough length and girth for it."
The atmosphere in the room was slowly becoming more heated, as Raphael felt the blood rushing to his member.
"..."
Calm down. That's not what I came here for.
Raphael let out a sigh as he leaned back on his chair. It was hard to resist his desires.
"Anyways, I wanted to ask if you had any information you could give me on the Sword Queen. She's my next target."
Harmony didn't seem surprised, and her face suggested that she was happy with the idea.
"A good choice." She said with a smile. "She will certainly be easier than the queens of the Cloud and Crown school.
The Cloud and Crown Queen's. Raphael had only spotted these women once during the Annual duels, and he struggled to get a good look at them. He wondered what their personalities were like.
And... what their bodies were like.
Harmony reached into her desk and rummaged through her papers before finding what she was looking for and placing it on the desk.
It was a student ID.
"The Sword Queen used to be an SSS-Rank student. She is the youngest of the 5 queens but easily the strongest."
Raphael read over the paper.
[Name: Cecilia Evergarden
Age: 21
Rank: SSS
Birthright: The Blue Reaper
School: Sword]
Cecilia Evergarden, that's a nice name.
"However, there's something strange about Cecilia, The Sword Queen," Harmony added as the smirk slowly faded from her face. "She is incredibly reclusive. None of the queens know anything about her, except that she is a power fanatic. She only acknowledges those that are equal to or above her strength."
Sort of like Lillian then... Are all women of the Sword School like that?
"Which is why she never acknowledged us. But you Raphael. You are one of the few students that she may acknowledge. Your strength is certainly up to par."
