NTR School: S Rank Student

Chapter 111: Dragon in the North

After Raphael was finished with Heather, he quickly sent the woman from his room.

At first, she expressed how much she wished to stay with him. How much she wished for him to take her as his own right there and then.

But he couldn't, not yet. He would take her back to Dragon School once returned, but right now, he had other business to attend to.

After she left, he donned his disguise once again and prepared to head out.

He found Trevor lounging by the tavern counter, drinking a mug of ale. As he walked by, the two hardly exchanged glances.

Little did the man know, his wife had just been fucked senseless upstairs.

Raphael stepped out into the evening sky, and straight away he noticed that something was different in Snowdon City.

Not only were the streets livelier, but they were also much more packed than he had ever seen them.

Crowds of civilians chattered to each other in groups. Something had clearly happened in the city, which garnered the attention of everybody.

Then, the Dragon King finally heard a passing conversation.

"Spread the word! His Majesty King Helix has challenged a man to an official duel. They say he's a false king!"

"It's true, I've heard news of him. The Dragon King."

Raphael was completely taken by surprise, in disbelief at what he was hearing.

His instincts made him reach his hand out and stop the group.

"Sorry, but could you tell me more about that?"

A young man wearing a thick coat turned to him, eyes lighting up at the prospect of the conversation.

"At the Central District. King Helix is there right now, with an entourage of knights. But he is challenging only a single man to a duel."

Another man butted in, equally excited.

"He goes by the title of Dragon King. Have you heard of him?"

Raphael looked away from the group idly, thoughts running through his head.

Yes, of course, I've heard of him.

Without saying another word, Raphael walked away from the group, now noticing that the civilians of Snowdon were all heading towards the same direction.

The location where King Helix was waiting.

Most men would be frightened at the prospect. They would consider the likelihood of the invitation being a trap or perhaps wonder whether or not they could even beat a King in battle.

But Raphael did not think about any of these things.

The King of the North had now declared him as his personal enemy to the whole city and presented himself right to him.

There was no further need to be discreet. He would accept the duel, and finally put an end to this conflict.

---

As Raphael arrived at the central district, a large open stone field, the noise and activity grew to unimaginable heights.

Chatter was loud, and fingers pointed towards the location of interest.

The centre of the stone field, where only a handful of men stood.

A few guards were there, hands resting on the hilts of their weapons, but Raphael's eyes were only drawn to the two at the centre.

The first was a woman.

Her hair was a fiery red, and atop it, sat a dazzling gold crown. Her royal robes were white and thick enough to fend off the cold.

The woman looked around, scanning her eyes across the crowd as if waiting for someone.

Raphael could not deny it, her beauty was almost unrivalled. Expected of a Queen.

The other figure was a man, wearing a similar crown atop his bald head. His beard was long and black, streaked with grey.

He wore a long black fur cape draped over his thick royal clothing.

But what stood out most to Raphael, was the man's size.

He was an absolute giant.

Even before standing near him, Raphael could tell that the man was nearly seven feet tall, and his form was muscular and broad.

It was the first time Raphael had seen a man so large.

As Raphael stepped through the crowd, face still covered by his scarf and hair by a hat, eyes landed on him.

He emerged through the crowd and out into the open field, clearly making his way towards the group at its centre.

The chatter of the crowd slowly died down as fingers pointed towards him in confusion.

They had all been waiting for a man to appear, declaring himself as the Dragon King. But they did not believe that Raphael was him.

After all, he was dressed like a civilian of the North.

The King and Queen's eyes finally landed on him, and the guard's hands tightened around their weapons.

After what felt like a long walk, he finally stood only a few meters away from them.

The king looked down at him with a raised scornful eyebrow. The Queen's expression, however, was filled with curiosity.

They wondered, could this be the man they were all waiting for?

Then, before a word could be said, Raphael pulled his hat from his head.

His brilliant, long golden hair flowed free from its confines, and Raphael had to shake his head to move the strands from his face.

Onlookers were granted a sight of the man's blue eyes, and after removing the scarf, they also saw the man's handsome face.

At that moment, it became certain to those who saw, and definitely to the King and Queen that stood in front of him.

...

"The Dragon King." One of the guards murmured, in a quiet tone.

A few moments later, the crowd erupted in chatter.

"It's him! It's really him!"

"He fits the description that the guards gave. Tall, long gold hair."

"All that's missing is the crown!"

Raphael stood there and looked at the man and woman that stood in front of him, as the crowd roared. King Helix instinctively stepped forward, putting his wife behind him.

But Raphael noticed the eyes the queen gave him. There was something in them.

Something that interested him.

But first, he had a larger problem to face.

King Helix's face began to twist in anger as he sized up the smaller man in front of him. A cocky smirk tugged at the side of his lips.

"So, Raphael Brooks. You were really fool enough to accept my invitation." The man said in a grizzled voice which matched his size. "You must have a death wish."

Raphael did not let the man's words or size get to him.

After all, he had done so much to get here.

The Angels he had beaten. The journey he had taken.

It all led up to this.

The Dragon King Flashed King Helix a smile of his own, displaying his confidence for all to see.

"There is only one man here with a death wish." Raphael declared smugly, eyes looking up at his enemy. "And that man is not me."
