Chapter 421
[Why is this guy here?]
(Game Event live broadcast capture)
I’m watching the event, but isn’t that Miro?
– Is that really Miro?
– Go listen to her voice; it’s definitely her, lol.
– What is that??
– It’s a game event, and Miro just showed up.
[Why is Miro there? LOL]
(Game Event live broadcast link)
Just hearing her talk makes it obvious it’s Miro, haha.
– Really?
– No way, why is she even there??
– What’s going on here, haha.
[Is that event for real?]
Wow, looks like she went with Tenshi, lol.
– She hasn’t streamed in twenty years.
– For real, while she’s in Japan, they have to do collabs every day, damn.
– I bet she went there to film a vlog, right?
– You think so? Lol.
– This chick seems a bit out of it, yeah.
[Thought this guy was busy, haha.]
Event’s crazy!
If she’s not busy, she should just stream instead.
– For real.
– Streaming is just a hobby for her, I guess.
[Miro really wears those sunglasses all the time, huh? lol]
With that hat, she really looks like a celebrity.
– Well, she is one, lol.
– She probably has more recognition than a lot of celebs.
– People probably recognize Miro outside, right?
– There’s no way not, she’s always on TV.
[But what is that event even about?]
Why is Miro up there?
– They just pick people for simple games or talent shows to win prizes.
– Oh, haha, so Miro’s also part of it?
– Looking at how she’s just standing there, it seems like she was called up randomly.
– Right! With her personality, she probably just went up there casually.
– Such a silly kid..
[Miro’s talent show on LOL.]
Announcing she’s good at singing, lol.
– For real? She’s gonna sing one?
– She even knows how to play the guitar, so they’re currently borrowing one.
– Wow, lol.
– Are they stamping a verification mark on this? Haha.
[The game officials are really lucky, haha.]
They’re bringing the popular actor Kim Soo-hyun onto the stage for free.
– Seriously, getting a huge virtual YouTuber like Miro for free?
– When did they book rookie singer Mira? LOL.
– This definitely doesn’t seem like a game event, look at the artistic type they brought along, haha.
– The fact that all those people look alike is hilarious! Damn, how can they mix them up? LOL.
[Wow, that stage is pretty big, haha.]
She’s actually thinking of singing and playing guitar in front of all these people?
– Do you think she’d be scared of that?
– For real, Miro’s used to this level of exposure.
– She could have a fan meet right now and still draw a crowd.
[Miro singing, oh wowwwwwwww!]
(Live broadcast link)
This is it, lol.
– Wow.
– It really feels different, haha.
– Holding a guitar and singing looks so cool, haha.
[She’s really on a different level.]
What crime did the next talent show participant commit, haha?
– For real, lol.
– She’s really great at singing, no joke.
– The previous guy sang too, but he’s so unfortunate compared to her, haha.
– For real, haha, he was good but facing an actual singer.
[Winning a prize for her talent show.]
(Live broadcast capture)
This kid is just a superstar, ohh..
– I can’t believe it.
– Wow, lol.
– Turn the stream back on, damn!
[But that event is just absurd, haha.]
Miro <— She looks like she doesn’t know anything about the game, winning the event prize, haha. - For real, she’s confused about what she even got, haha. - Is that even a good prize? - It's a limited edition, though. - If she resells it, it’ll probably fetch a good price. [Fact: Miro probably knows the prize's value but won’t care.] (Popular actor’s advertising fees) Do you think a prize like that would catch her eye? Just one shoot pays way more than others’ monthly salaries, haha. - Wow, the ad fees are that high? - For top-tier actors, but Miro might be a bit lower. - Yeah, Miro's still not senior enough for that. - This chick’s streaming really is just a hobby, haha. - For real, the money she makes from streaming probably feels pocket change. [So, is Tenshi there too?] If she’s hanging out with Miro, that red pill might get noticed. - If you search for foreign folks and red pill, it’ll pop up, haha. - Oh, really? - Yeah, it’s famous for sure. - She probably doesn’t care too much since she’s a sort of ‘blue pill’ herself. [Is Miro going to stream today? lol.] Will she spill the tea about the event? - Maybe? - I think she’ll definitely stream today, haha. - Just pray hard, buddy, lol. - This chick’s not too sharp either, haha. [Today, the notice for Miro’s stream went up.] (Miro’s café notice) No stream, damn, haha. - Oh! - LOL. - Damn! - That sucks. - This chick... ** “Soo-hyun! I’m leaving now!” The day after attending the festival. Waking up early in the morning, I found Tenshi waiting for me with her bags all packed. “You’re really leaving now?” “Yup...!” Having finished everything I needed to do in Korea, Tenshi must return home. She’s a busy virtual YouTuber and needs to get back to work. “Please come again next time.” “Sure thing...! I’ll definitely come back!” Tenshi’s luggage had grown a lot since she arrived. She had gotten a ton of Miro goods. She was obviously eyeing them in my room. I can easily get them from the company when I whine, so I told her to take them all. But seeing her packed so full, something I had forgotten came to mind. “Um... there was something else I needed to give you.” “Something else here?!” “Uh, no, it’s something for someone else... ah!” Right, I had completely forgotten about that. “Just a moment.” While I also needed to finish my work, I still had a bit of time before Park Kang-seok arrived, so I took my time to find something I had stored in the warehouse. “What are you looking for?” “Oh... found it. Here, this is it.” The item for Tenshi was the signed poster for BeastZ that I had to give Sake. I had forgotten about it. “Whoa, is all of this signed?” “I got all the members to sign it.” “Wow... Senpai will be really happy!” Though it had been quite a while since I received the signatures, thanks to being packed meticulously, it was just like new once I changed the plastic cover. Sake will surely love this. “Oh, right. And Tenshi, I remember you like Korean dramas and movies.” “Yeah? I do! I watch a lot!” “Then do you know actor Jeong-cheon?” “Wait! Of course! I’ve seen a lot with him!” “Alright, then....” I didn’t only prepare for Sake. Since Tenshi came, I also got another signature from the filming site the day I went back. “Here, take this.” “Oh...?! Is this really a signature?” “Yep, feel free to brag about it on the stream.” “Wow..!” Being a huge fan of K-culture, Tenshi treasured the signature I gave her and carefully placed it in her luggage. “Well, I guess it’s really time for you to go now.” Now that I’ve given her everything, Tenshi should leave, and I need to get ready to head out. I was planning to greet Park Kang-seok when he arrives. “By the way....” “Yes?” Tenshi, putting the signature into her suitcase, glanced at me shyly. Is there something more she needs? “Do you want me to sign something too...?” “Me?” “Yeah! I want actor Kim Soo-hyun’s signature...!” ...My signature? Does she have a reason for wanting it? “Well, I can do that.” It's weird, but it’s not particularly hard, so I found a marker and pulled it out. “Where should I sign?” “Um... here please!” Of course, there’s no way I’d have my signature at home, but as I looked for a spot, Tenshi pulled out a brand new white T-shirt from her suitcase. “Could you sign this?” “Yes...! I brought it to get a signature.” ...She even brought a T-shirt for signing? She’s awfully prepared; I almost would have felt bad if I hadn’t signed it for her. “I’ll write it really big for you.” Spreading the shirt out on the floor, I took the marker. I’m used to drawing on large white surfaces, so I confidently wrote my signature. I wrote my name, and below it, I added Tenshi’s real name. Then I added a simple phrase beneath that. In the end, a pretty nice signature T-shirt was completed. “How is it?” “Hehe, I love it!” “Really that much?” “Yes!” Tenshi smiled even wider than when she received Jeong-cheon’s signature. Was my signature so special? I could easily do this much anytime. “Well, now it’s really time for you to go.” “Got it..! Let’s meet again for sure!” And just like that, Tenshi returned to Japan that day. Afterward, I busily carried on with my filming schedule. Filming, shooting for music variety shows, filming again, and occasionally streaming. Days went by feeling more like moments than time passing by itself. “It's tomorrow, huh.” “Tomorrow?” While wrapping up my schedule for the day and heading home, Park Kang-seok suddenly said to me. “What’s tomorrow...?” Isn’t tomorrow the first day I’ve had without a schedule in ages? Taken aback at the thought that I might have forgotten another schedule, I looked toward Park Kang-seok, who was looking at me strangely through the rearview mirror. “No, it’s the day for our new song release.” “Oh.” Has it really come to that already? ...Now that I think about it, I must have been free because it was the day of the new song release. I’d been so busy, I forgot something important. “Time flies.” I felt a bit surprised but quickly calmed my mind. I’m not worried about the new song release anymore. I vaguely think it’ll do well anyway. After all, the busking variety show airs tomorrow, so it should at least hit average levels, right? It has to have a ripple effect. Tap. Leaning my head against the window, I looked outside. It was late, and the sun was setting. Still, just a bit, I feel some anticipation. I worked hard, so I hope for good results. And just like that, I headed home with a mix of calmness and slight excitement. The next day, as scheduled, the new song was released alongside the variety show airing.
