Chapter 418
“Alright! Let’s go!”
After returning to the filming location, I immediately jumped into shooting.
Since I had been away, there were scenes that had been postponed, but when I came back after two days, the director seemed very pleased.
So, I focused on acting again as my secretary, Kang Ji-soo.
Maybe it’s because I had a good rest?
I felt like my condition was even better than before.
Or perhaps it’s because I thought of Tenshi waiting for me, so I might have worked harder to finish quicker.
During breaks, I checked in and it seemed like Tenshi was managing well at home… but still, shouldn’t I go over and play with her?
I could probably spend hours on that computer in the soundproof booth, doing broadcasts or whatever, but I still thought I should go quickly.
“Aah, Soo-hyun, during the next shoot…”
Right now, I had just finished one scene and was preparing for the next.
Unlike the other main characters, who were still in the thick of it, I had almost filmed all my parts from Season 1.
So, since we were now filming the latter half of Season 1 in advance, my discussions with the director and other staff became longer.
Normally, the main character usually dominates most scenes.
But in that transition from Season 1 to 2, since the antagonist was more prominent, I ended up having a few more scenes to film too.
“You know that in just a few days, we’ll be filming the final scenes for Ji-soo in Season 1, right?”
“Ah, yes, yes.”
“There will be some action scenes then, are you okay with that?”
“Action scenes…”
Moreover, as more scenes piled up, it was finally time for Ji-soo to film some intense action despite not having done much physical activity so far apart from standing or walking.
“Do you have good motor skills?”
“Yes, I have a bit of sports sense.”
“Oh, really?”
“Of course.”
I do have good motor skills.
I claimed that I could learn dances quickly, and hey? I even play VR games well.
But…
“However, there’s one problem.”
“Yes?”
“It’s just that my stamina and strength are a bit weak…”
That was the issue. My physical abilities couldn’t quite keep up.
It’s like saying the software and hardware aren’t compatible, you know?
“Ah, I see? There are quite a few actresses who are weak on stamina.”
“Um… it might be beyond imagination.”
…Let’s just say that when you line up adult women, I might be closer to the lower end of the stamina spectrum.
“It’s not a very long scene, and I’ll make sure to give you plenty of breaks, so don’t worry too much.”
“Yes, okay.”
Well, if the director says it’s fine, then it must be fine.
Anyway, after a few more takes, we wrapped up filming for the day.
“Time to go now.”
“Yes, let’s depart.”
I got into the car driven by Park Kang-seok, heading back home.
I wonder if Tenshi has been doing well?
It’s been quiet since I checked in during my break.
Earlier, I had asked if it was okay to do broadcasts using my account that hadn’t logged out, and they said it was fine, but I doubt she would do so until now. Is she napping?
“Soo-hyun?”
“Yes?”
While I was looking out the window, thinking about Tenshi at home, Park Kang-seok spoke to me.
“Are you really feeling okay?”
“Oh, yes. I’ve gotten rid of the fever.”
“You shouldn’t overdo it.”
He knew I had caught a cold a few days ago, as he had driven me to the hospital personally early in the morning when my fever was raging.
But since I came back after just two days, it seems he was worried I was just pretending.
“Hey, I’m not overdoing it. A nice good sleep did wonders!”
“Glad to hear you rested well.”
“Yes, you don’t have to worry.”
But am I someone who would pretend to be fine? If I feel sick, I’ll just admit it and lay down.
If I push myself too hard, I’ll genuinely get sick.
“Oh, by the way, do you know any good dessert places on the way?”
“Desserts?”
“Yes, a friend is coming to my place, and I want to pick something up.”
Since Park Kang-seok knows good eateries, I thought he might know a place for tasty snacks, as it feels wrong to head to Tenshi empty-handed. I thought about bringing something sweet.
“There’s a nice bakery.”
“Oh, please stop there!”
As expected, he answered right away like a food expert.
“Let’s go right away.”
So, we stopped at a dessert shop on the way and bought some delicious baked goods.
“Eat these when you get home.”
“Thank you!”
I bought two bags, giving one to Park Kang-seok and keeping the other for myself.
Today, I’ll watch a movie while eating this.
Afterwards, we quickly arrived in front of my house.
“Just a moment.”
“Yes?”
Normally, Park Kang-seok would drop me off at the main gate and leave, but he got out of the car and took something out of the trunk.
“Here, this is what the representative asked me to deliver.”
I was curious about what it could be, only to see an expensive-looking ginseng set.
“Ah… the representative?”
“Yes, he said it’s good for your health, so take care of yourself.”
“Ah, please thank him for me.”
Oh… that’s so thoughtful of the representative.
Whether I eat it or give it to Manager Kim or Mrs. Jang, I gratefully accepted the gift.
After saying goodbye to Park Kang-seok, I headed straight into the house.
“I’m home!”
Since it was still afternoon, Manager Kim was obviously absent.
Seeing that Mrs. Jang and Bok-sil weren’t around, it looked like they must’ve gone for a walk.
So, is Tenshi home alone?
Looking at the shoes by the door, it didn’t seem like she went out, so she’s probably in my room?
I left the ginseng set in the living room and entered my room.
But my room was empty too.
…Where did she go?
As I glanced around, I headed towards the soundproof booth.
-…over here…
Then, I heard a voice coming from inside.
Thinking it might be a joke, I cautiously opened the door.
“Ah! Here… Hm…!”
There was Tenshi’s familiar back, deep in thought as she looked at the familiar screen.
On the main monitor, there was a “Ideal Type World Cup,” and on the side monitor, there was a broadcasting settings window.
“Still going?”
I thought she would only stream for 1-2 hours, but she was still live?
“Uh… Miro?”
As soon as she heard my voice, Tenshi turned around while wearing her headphones.
“Uh, when did you get here?”
“Just now.”
Saying that, I handed the bag of pastries to Tenshi.
“What’s this…”
“I’ll wash up first, so eat this while continuing your stream, okay?”
It was unexpected that she had been streaming for so long, but… it wouldn’t hurt me.
After all, viewers were probably unhappy that she hadn’t streamed since the busking, but with Tenshi today, I bet their complaints got resolved.
Considering the streaming experience, isn’t she more of a veteran than me?
Besides, she’s fluent in Korean, so she must be doing great.
“Hmm, can I keep streaming?”
“Yeah, let’s do a collab later.”
Since it turned out this way, I figured I might as well do it together, so I went straight to the bathroom.
I planned to wash off the makeup from the salon and take a shower to relieve the fatigue from filming.
After a bit.
“Ahh.”
Feeling refreshed after coming out of the bathroom, I changed into my pajamas and headed back to the soundproof booth.
“Um, hmm…”
As I opened the soundproof booth door, I saw Tenshi’s lavender hair and the screen.
She was still continuing the “Ideal Type World Cup.”
“Not much progress, huh?”
“Uh, you’re here?”
I brought the chair from the living room with me and entered the soundproof booth.
Tenshi was running a singing competition with songs from the Celestial Realm.
I had seen another VTuber do this before, and it seems Tenshi is pretty popular too.
– Is the guest just coming in now??
– Miro, long time no see, haha!
– Haha, let’s go collab!!!
– What took you so long to get here??
Looking at the chat, it was a bit nice to see this after a few days.
“Have you been doing well with the World Cup?”
I thought she’d only know how to play FPS games, but I was surprised to see her running a competition broadcast.
Maybe for Tenshi, being a VTuber from Japan, this might be a refreshing way to interact?
VTubers from over there usually have their daily content scheduled rigidly.
Thinking about it, just casually going live and chatting is probably fresh for them.
“I’m gonna sit here for a bit.”
“Oh, yes!”
Since the space was tight, I pulled my chair right next to Tenshi.
“So, you were really deep in thought.”
Looking at the World Cup screen, I saw songs from the 3rd and 4th generation displayed.
From her previous pose, it seemed she was listening to the songs and contemplating her choice.
“Ah, Miro, you’ve listened to this song, right?”
“Me? Um, hmm.”
– Hahaha!
– No way this guy has listened to it?!
– Damn Miro!
– The chat just gets dirtier when Miro shows up, haha.
“I uh… I was saving it for later.”
“Ah, you haven’t listened to it!”
– Hahaha!
– I knew it!
– You think this guy would listen to his junior’s songs??
“…I seriously have been saving it.”
Oh? I also get Celestial Realm songs pop up in my algorithms.
I planned to listen to them later.
“Okay, let’s give it a listen then. Can you pass me one side of your headphones?”
As I opened one of the pastries I had bought, I spoke.
If I haven’t listened yet, then now’s the perfect time.
“One side of the headphones?”
“Yes, let’s share.”
Why is it weird?
Didn’t we already do this last time?
“Just give me one.”
And since we can’t proceed without headphones, I snatched one side of the headphones from Tenshi.
– Wow!
– Haha!
– Miro’s getting bold, huh?
– Is there gonna be drama with judging juniors’ songs??
“It’s not really judging, just my personal preferences.”
Am I someone to judge anyone?
I’m just a listener, picking based on my likes and dislikes.
“Alright, then let’s give it a listen. It’s been a while since I’ve done a World Cup.”
Anyway, well.
Though unintentional, I started collabing with Tenshi after a long time.
