Chapter Thirty-Two: Skill Planets
Atlas began to move from one 'planet' to the next, but he got a notification before he could.
Message to the Player: If you continue taking out the system's influence, you may lose access to some of your skills and titles because of lack of the system's help, which keeps some of your skills and titles together.
Atlas read it before glaring at the message, swiping it aside. The system was trying to stop him even now, but it only made him want to follow through with his planned course of action even more.
He grabbed the next smallest skill in his solar system, looking at it. Fast Training Techniques.
The threads in this skill planet were thicker and bulkier, but there were also far less of them. This skill was highly connected to the system, speed, knowledge, training, and understanding.
With a bit more hesitation, Atlas severed the thread that connected Fast Training Techniques to the system.

Atlas then moved on to the next skill. Perfect Mind Shattering Thoughts.
He was immediately overwhelmed. There were an absurd amount of threads and he was immediately lost in the weaves. He made his way through looking at threads of everything he could possibly think of, concepts that made no sense to him in his current state. He passed thousands upon thousands of threads some good some bad, most of them neutral.
Atlas wandered aimlessly, looking for the thread that connected this skill to the system. The threads ranged anywhere from a couple inches thick to a couple feet wide. All of them extended far into the sky and drilled all the way down to the core of the 'planet.' The actual 'earth' of the planet was completely transparent, allowing Atlas to see the core of the planet, a giant glowing orb that throbbed with prismatic light.
Atlas stared at the orb and found a thick golden thread running through it and popping out some ways ahead of him. He headed towards the thread, reaching the spot where the thread lay after quite a while.
Atlas found himself in front of a thread larger than a giant oak tree, golden in hue with white strips running through it. He imagined snipping the thread and felt some resistance, after a brief struggle of wills, Atlas came out on top fairly easily and the thread vanished.

Atlas's brows furrowed. That was slightly concerning, but hopefully at the end he would be able to get all his skills back up to par.
He took a deep breath and went to the next skill planet, Breath of the Consuming Void.
In this planet, the system's thread was barely a string, and Atlas felt slightly bad as he deleted the thread from existence. In a fit of inspiration, he strengthened the thread that resembled the skills connection to the void.

Atlas smiled before moving on to the next skill. A skill that was relatively new for him. Ruler's Mind.
The threads were few, but powerful enough to exude a sort of pressure, with the smallest thread being the system's thread, but it was still bigger than the thread on the World Warp planet.
Atlas attempted to delete the thread just like the others, and his will clashed with the threads. There was another brief struggle, but Atlas won relatively easily, though he did wonder if it would only get harder as he progressed, and if he did, how hard would it be for his most powerful skill?

With nobody to answer his questions, he continued on.
The next skill planet he visited was Mana Sovereign. It was highly confusing, with almost as many threads as World Warp had, but they were all at minimum, twice as thick, or even more in the cases of the types of mana.
It took him almost an hour to find the system's thread this time, as there were many types of mana that were the same color scheme as the system's, causing him to go up to a thread only to realize that it was the wrong thread.
After finally finding it, he found it was only about two feet thick, not nearly as thick as he had been dreading.
After a slight clash of wills, he managed to get rid of the thread.

Atlas moved on quickly, not wanting to waste even more time then he already had. He moved on the skill planet of Denier of Death.
This planet was desolate beyond three threads. The large thread was the concept of rejection given form, the second was healing, the last was the concept of false death. There was no thread of the system to be found, after a brief exploration moved on.
He arrived on the next skill planet, Hyper Jump.
There were dozens of threads, each quite large, all at least 5 feet across. They were all movement or space related, other than one, the system's thread.
It was a behemoth at over 10 feet in diameter. Atlas swallowed slightly before clenching his teeth and forcing his will on the thread.
The thread fought back and it felt like Atlas had just slammed his head against a brick wall as he stumbled backwards before growling and throwing out his hands, slamming the thread with the full force of his will, deleting it.

Atlas moved on to the next skill planet, All Seeing Eye, and his eyes widened in horror.
There were dozens of threads, but towering above them all was the system's thread, almost 40 feet in diameter.
Atlas took a shaky breath and focused his will into a razor edge, attacking the thread with all his might.
It rebounded off like an arrow off a fortress wall.
Atlas was sent flying, sliding all the way across the planet, forcing him to make his way back to the thread and squaring his shoulders before taking a deep calming breath and attacking with all his might, feeling as though his will sank into the thread, damaging it but not quite ending it.
The thread once more sent him flying but he dragged himself back, not feeling annoyed as he knew that this next attack would be able to end this thread.
Sure enough, he attacked the thread with the full force of his will, deleting the thread from existence, and with it, the skill planet he stood on. He immediately appeared on the next skill planet Inevitable Death.
All Seeing Eye has been irrevocably damaged, and the skill has been forcibly deleted to prevent damage to Player [Atlas Channing].
Atlas's eyes grew wide as he whispered to himself softly, as though saying it aloud was a sin. "I can lose skills here?"
